Thanks a lot of for the updates Jorge and I look forward to seeing this event on TV, for some reason we get it, not that I complained about it last year.

will you have TV coverage at Australia? Interesting. I didn't know about that. Hopefully this year will be a great tournament as well. :yeah:

What happened was that I was flicking through the channels and we somehow get the finals of shitty American events, apart from the TMS events. That's when the commentators were choking about Calleri that he was looking forward to a holiday in Acapulco after his match with Horna.

were they talking about last year's match at Acapulco when Horna upset Calleri in the 1rd? I remember that match. Calleri was defending champion but was ousted by Horna.
This year they could face each other again in the 1rd, but curiously now the favorite would be Horna. Luis will be seeded but Agustín won't. Anyway the draw will be published just next sunday afternoon. We have to wait.

Yes, that was the match they were talking about and Calleri was bad that day.

Well Horna hasn't played since the AO and one can never tell with Calleri. Are you going to the tournament? It seemed quite a good vibe from what I say and I saw most of the centre court matches.

I wonder if the Polish/Australian Luczak will get the SE as he is in the semis of the tournament in Brazil.

No, I can't attend the tournament. Well "I could" but "I shouldn't". ;) Acapulco is not exactly close from my home (about 1000 km) the Tickets for a weekend session (the only days I could go) are not cheap. The accomodations at Acapulco in a "decent" hotel aren't cheap neither. I mean I need those 500 US dollars (at least) that I would spend for attending one single day at the tournament. I have to pay $$$ome debts before thinking about me going to "el Abierto Mexicano de Tenis". I'll have to watch it by TV :(

I don't think Raúl Zurutuza (tournament director) is thinking on giving that SE to Luczak. They haven't said yet who could be that player but the rumours are about some top 20 player. Anyway if "that player" doesn't comes to Acapulco then there is a chance for Luczak or another player.

Jorge, do you know if Corretja has pulled out of the tournament? I heard that he has, and I don't see his name in the qualification list anymore on the tournament site.

Not only Álex has withdrawn, also Félix Mantilla and Cristophe Rochus, Perhaps they were expecting to make the MD and not to have to play the qualifying tournament.
dammit! I wish I'd have seen Corretja playing here :( anyway there is still the slight chance about Corretja getting the SE place.

JUNTO A NADAL, FELICIANO Y VERDASCO

Jorge, according to this article, Costa will not play Acapulco either:

Luis Horna and Albert Costa withdrew and they were replaced by Jiri Vanek and Olivier Patience. Finally the SE (there were some rumours about Coria coming, but they were just that: rumours) went to Félix Mantilla (That's why he was removed from Qualifying Draw). So If somebody else doesn't withdraws at the last minute, those player will be in the Main Draw (plus the 4 qualis) this sunday afternoon.
