Ok then lol here goes........

I first noticed Rogi
When he beat Pistol Pete
Looking great in his white outfit
And lovely hair so neat
I love all of his necklaces
and every shirt looks great on him
I love when his bandana
Makes him looks so neat and trim
His eyes just want to make you melt
and make your heart beat faster
Not only is he so damn sexy
He is the Hamnburg Master
And so I followed Rogi
Around the world on my TV
And aimlessly dreamed
That he'd fall in love with me ;)
But I knew that wouldnt happen
coz he has a classy girl
But all the same he'll never stop
my stomach getting in a whirl
So I just sat back and enjoyed his game
how beautiful it is to see
And I will be his fan forever
He's the world number 1 to be :D

I like it to read all those poems, maybe I will ever make one too. But that will take a long time.

Andre's gonna fail so miserably, when he faces Rogi and Juanqui
The Chinese'll be amazed, bcos the New Balls going to take Baldy's place
They better watch Andre play, he is going to stay only 3 days.

I am a tennis addict, Juanqui is my fave
I watch all his matches on telly, because he can really play
He wracked Baldy, in front of the frenchy, he made it looks so easy
I have faith, he'll win RG, and be King of clay one day.

Hi, RF! Are the German films dubbed? I saw U2 at St Jacob's Park in Basel a few years back and they were great! One of my fave bands, but i prefer their old songs better. The Joshua Tree is my all time fave. I just bought the new Pearl Jam CD today. The more i play it the more i like it. :)

let's share with him this time
with a smile, with a tear

A win in Sydney started it
it seems so long ago
a close match with Haas was next
little did we know

An awesome week in Miami
A memorable match with Lleyt
his first masters series final
but a win would have to wait

Moving to the red stuff
we weren't expecting much
Hamburg was the sweetest win
showing his clay touch

Then there was some chatter
a fave for French he became
but pressure and some tiredness
got the best of Rogi's game

A couple weeks to Wimby
a sure thing the experts said
then some croatian qualifier
put an end to the grassy bed

The slump continued into the summer
we wondered when it would end
before we had a chance to find out
Rogi had lost a dear friend

A very emotional Open
a kiss to the sky above
we all could feel his sadness
so we sent him lots of love

The indoor season had arrived
hopes were very high
A Vienna win, a moving speech
made all his fans cry

Moving closer to his dream
being in the final eight
he clinched his place in Paris
with revenge that was so great

In Shanghai he played his best
the boy with the golden touch
he moved into the semi's
where Hewitt proved too much

He left the court with a smile
the people were on their feet
next year when he's in Houston
he'll be the one to beat

And so it ends today
this great and rocky year
see you again next year Rogi

Are hard at work again
This time I write an e-mail

Who had turned up on Lee's door
This was better than the x-mas prezzie
She'd recieved the year before!;)
Now they're eating dinner

But lets leave it there because the day
Is turning into night!

Ive recorded a couple of them (with a little help from my friends)and sent it to Suisa for the copyrights. But it's just for me. Maybe one day when i'm brave enough i'll share them down here...:o

My secret wish is to compile them all and make a cd out of it. I can get some financing from the city of Bern for this project, but i have to write them a letter first and wait for approval. I know several studios around but gathering the musician friends i know for some sessions is the hardest one to organize, they just have projects of their own, or they're playing gigs or doing something else, and i can only sing. I'm scared to accompany myself on guitar when i'm recording. I can do it live when i'm drunk...;) But i've recorded 2 of them last year with this guy who plays guitar and has a studio at home. We basically recorded it in his living room with his cats around. It was cool. He also plays the bass, so we arranged it by ourselves. The other song (it was an ode to a dead friend) required a cello and we found a cello player who played for free. It was great. It was more experimental but the quality was really good and i copied them on cd. It was even played on a rock radio station in the Manila.

Like i said if this project ever turned into reality, then i would be doing it because i want to see the end product of my creativity. When i'm old and feeble and i'm sitting on my rocking chair i'll play my songs and have a smile on my face and i can say, hah! i did that in my lifetime...:)

Oh yes, it is. But i get critical of myself too. Once i recorded some jazz tunes with some friends and we did that in one afternoon between drinking some champagne and me cooking pasta in the kitchen. It sounded good then but if i listen to it now then i'll say, now i can really record it and will know how to sing it...
But pls. don't get too carried away. Anyone can write songs and recording is easier these days with all that technology, so it's really no big deal. But my voice is better than Madonna's. ;)

Although I play and read music, I have no creative talent whatsoever. My sis has written and played her own music years ago -- I think her friend wrote the lyrics.

Any creative expression is beautiful, be it poetry, novels, diaries, music, lyrics, painting, drawing... cooking too.

RF, it's more jack of all trades, master of none...

Still, it's good to dabble into something you enjoy doing. I think this year i've picked my tennis racket a hundred times more than i've picked my guitar. I have a friend who plays jazz piano who wants to do a project with me but we never find the time. She teaches music at the conservatory and plays with other people as well, and i got my tennis and the clubhouse to look after during the season so my creative expression has shifted to cooking for the time being. But i'd really like to go back to doing music. For fun. A few summers back 5 friends and i drove to the south of France for two weeks and we played music all over the place it was quite an experience. We'd play in front of a restaurant and they'd give us food & wine and some money. We didn't make much but it was enough to pay our gasoline and to buy some food. We had a big teppee where we all slept. During the day we'd go and swim in the rivers. It was one of the best holidays i had. I've also played in another band and we did jazz standards at some discreet venue or would do weddings, it was a riot. :D

That sounded like a lot of fun in the S of France. In Barcelona while wandering the Gothic Quarter there were a few music students playing -- added to the atmosphere, we had to give them some money! What would life be w/o music? Pretty dull. I once played a huge pipe organ in a cathedral on a semi-stormy evening just for fun! I was all alone... at least I think I was!! [got a musician friend to let me in] Although I'm crap at playing, it was something I've always wanted to do! I managed to pull out all the stops for JS Bach! If only I could play jazz... but I'm no good at improvising. I admire anyone w musical talent.

I'm better off drawing -- I used to dabble in portraits -- mostly of pix from mags or rock stars!! I've never tried my hand at a tennis player though... I need to be "in the mood" or inspired though, in order to produce sth of worth. I esp. love drawing people's eyes -- the mirror to your soul, so they say... ;)

I just read the whole last page of this thread and . . . wow!! I would totally buy your music. TOTALLY! No matter what style it is. I remember when you posted that song on Henman Hill, it was wonderful!!

Music can be such a personal thing. I'm the same way with my writing. I've written stories and novels and I'd love to have them published, but I'm too shy (and too much of my own critic) to do it at the moment. It's the tug of war between seeing your name in lights and dying of embarrassment from the possible criticism.

I play a few instruments myself, so if you ever require the services of single-reed woodwinds, gimme a call ;) Unfortunately, I'm just the same as RF. Very creative, but I can't write music worth a damn. It just doesn't come to me. I was in a jazz ensemble and had a very hard time improvising on my own (you can tell how well that experience went, haha). Luckily, I am blessed with the gift of writing, creating worlds for escape or using real people :D

I also wanted to note that I loved your poem about ILR. Summed up my feelings better than I could ever put them (I also can't write poetry at all). You should save your poems, ILR, if for no other reason than to look at them later and see the progress you've made, or remember some of your old rhymes about beautiful boys ;)

Wow, sounds like it was a blast :) I'd really like to do something like that (time & money allowing), just go lose myself and have a great time with no strings attached. I think everyone should. My great holiday will probably somehow revolve around tennis :o as it is what I have the most interest in for the time being.

I admit
I have sensitive eyes
I've cried a lot
in sadness
in disappointment
in depression
but I always find myself crying for you
for reasons I can't put my finger on
yet never for a negative reaction
but for feelings I can't put to words
you create sensations inside me I don't normally feel
inventions of sentiments that have never been discovered
feelings that were like frontiers to me
feelings that aren't meant for description
just experience
other people don't have to understand
I don't want them to
I want to feel exclusively yours everday
for the rest of my life
you simply do something to me
and if I could explain what that was
maybe it wouldn't be as extraordinary
but I think the beauty is that I am not supposed to know

From us fans it would be a nightmare
when you had to go home early

So be fighing and playing always with some currage
then you'll see the thing will tourn out good
And who knows all of a sudden
you'd be playing in the final

Would be nice but still to early
there's still waiting a lot of work and troubles
For us fans it means keep the fingers crossed
maybe then the coup might be happening

Wir wollten dich doch lang noch sehen,
und können einfach nicht verstehen,
dass einer mit soviel Talent

Meine Zweifel waren schon fast zerronnen
Doch du begannst gleich zu studieren

Nun gab es nichts mehr zu verlieren
Da begannst wieder zu brillieren

Ich wollte mein Gedicht unter deinen neu eröffneten Gedichtethread in Rogers neue Homepage reinkopieren. Ich habe deshalb also "Poems" angeklickt, dann "Post reply" und das Gedicht reinkopiert. Zum Absenden habe ich die Funktionstaste "submit" betätigt. Dieses Vorgehen ist doch richtig, oder? Jedesmal danach kommt jedoch der Hinweis "Invalid session". Was mache ich falsch? Ich möchte vorausschicken, dass ich mich gestern registrieren liess. Muss ich mich noch jedesmal irgendwo einloggen, irgendwelche Funktionen ausschalten?

Wäre sehr dankbar, liebe Doris, wenn du mir helfen oder mir sagen könntest, an wen ich mich allenfalls wenden kann, um dieses Problem zu lösen.

Du hast alles genau richtig gemacht! Doch auch ich konnte heute noch keinen Eintrag schreiben. Bekam auch immer die Meldung Invalid Session ????
Wenden kann man sich an den Web-Master Patrik irgendwie ;)

Du siehst übrigens ob du eingeloggt bist oder nicht. Wenn auf der Startseite rechts zwei weisse Felder erscheinen dann bist noch nicht eingeloggt - sonst würde dort dein Namen stehen.

Rogicomel here's a short translation of the poem.

Well it just says that I'm sorry not beeing able to be with them in Melbourne. That I'm going to send them all my sympathie with telepathie when watching them behind the TV
And that they need to be strong against Scud and Lleyton
not giving up after the first mistake but still go to attack
Still it's a long way to go till they reach their aim to play the final in Bern where of course I would be

Oh, how sweet....... all my thoughts will be with Swiss team coming this weekend.

Just saying that after the Rog-Hewitt Match it was soo fustrating to see that they missed a huge chance to go one step further. Telling them that it can't be that everything is resting on the shoulders of one man only that something has to be done about it. That it was working fine so far but unfortunately not any longer. Telling them that I got rid of my fustration now and that dissappointment is fading away and that no matter what I'll still be with them the next year and hope for a home tie draw.
