You guys are morons. Costa has by far the easiest draw & he will win the entire thing without dropping a set.
Just shows how much you know about tennis :rolleyes:

Since when is there a 9th player? I am confused. He would just be the replacement if somene bailed last minute?

Johansson would be a replacement even if someone withdraws in the middle of the round robin (but he would not accumulate on the points of the player he replaces).

Why is that? I never knew this. I always thought it's just pre-tournament withdrawal replacement. Has the replacement ever been used?

As long as LLeyton and Marat are in Semi and Roger and Juan-Carlos are in Semi, I am a happy human for the rest of the year.

Initially I saw Federer, and Agassi in Ferrero's draw - and no Costa.

At which point my heart sank.

Then I looked at the alternative - Hewitt and Safin. And smiled ;)

J***s!!! Further proof that the ATP lives up Agassi's ass. Marat and Lleyton should have met in the finals. I really hate those morons. They would have made a perfect showcase for the best of the new balls. Poor Lleyton and he's sick on top of everythig yet again! If he manages to pull through he deserves every bit of praise that comes his way.

Come on Marat take that #2 rank!!!!

How can they be in final when they are in the same group?

Oh, I got it. All Marat and Lleyton have to do is make it to the Semi. In Semi, the players from the same don't play against each others, they play against the players from the other the group.

LOL, I answer my own question.

Who knows...Lleyton may be able to do a Kim (Filderstadt) and rise to the occasion due to a bad draw

Indeed in 1998 there were a lot of replacements, I even think two players are replaced and in 1997 Muster came also in the place of someone else. But I forgot in who's place;
Claudine
I only hope moyke will not be replaced because of an injury.

every player must play against the three other players of his group and than the two players who has the best score (most winning matches, most winning sets and maybe winning games ) goes to the semifinal.
The first from the red group must play against the second from the other group and the second player from the red group must play against the first semifinalist. Than both winners plays the final. So you can have a final between two players who are in the same group, as long as they both win their semifinal
