I am too, believe me. But being pissed off is not going to change the fact that he lost. I guess we should be used to erratic results from him. With that said, I think he needs to do better with his serve and his nerves.

Sometimes, we all wonder if it's worth it to follow him, but I think it is. Everyone loves a winner, and it's hard to follow someone who is not winning a lot. David is long overdue for a win, and he, now more than ever, deserves our support. Rosie, I know it's tempting to skip out on Rotterdam, but go and show your support. I don't think there are many other fans who follow him as faithfully, and being there may help him. Just keep the faith. Good times will come soon.

Tiff..lovely post.

It's very worth to follow him. And you know David is very lucky to have the fans he has..that never give up on him as tempting as it may be.

There's a friend of mine here on MTF, that follows Flavio Saretta...and most of the time she's so dissapointed and thinking that supporting him is useless.
But she's always there..that's faith I guess, and a lot of love..and do we choose the ppl we love??

The question is, has Eduardo been talking to me? Hee hee...
Anyhow, I think that a good dose of self-belief will do him a world of good right now. Apparently, Eduardo knows what he's doing because he hasn't walked yet.

Having said that, I believe that he and David need to have a real heart-to-heart chat and figure out where David's head is.

Don't think David knows where is own head is, let alone anyone else having a chance to figure it out. And I'm sure they do have plenty of heart to hearts (well I know they do), but Eduardo isn't a magician - just an ordinary guy doing a s*** job with no thanks for it, just a load of grief and abuse. In fact from now on I think I'll be suporting Eduardo at tournaments - not David, because he's much more deserving!!! David just has to do it himself in his own way in his own time, but if he doesn't learn soon it may be too late I feel. Sorry to be negative.

Cheer up Rosie :)

Let's all hope he's in a better mood (in every respect) next week in Rotterdam.

I decided to go there and I am just packing (which means I am in a real good mood right now :)). So at least one more person to support David during his first round match :)

But if his attitude is as crappy in R'dam as it apparently was yesterday, I'll definitely go and support somebody else (lots of players there that I like ;))!

But let's all hope for the best and a good draw tomorrow - no Schüttler, Ferrero or s.o. similar in the first round!

OK girls - I'll try my best not to be such a hard b**** in Rotterdam. Actually I've just had a great scene with this American Rap band who were creating havoc in Reception - made me feel a lot better! There were about 6 of them, showing off to all the groupie girls in Reception and terrorising this poor receptionist. One kept on parading around looking mean and saying "You don't know nothing - I'm the smartest here you know!", and I got so mad I turned round to all 6 of them and said "Well you little boys may think you're smart but you sure as hell ain't got no f****** manners!" Should have used the plural both of them actually. I have only ever written a report drunk once, but involved Marc Rosset so that isn't surprising.

So you are not going to watch Feyenoord play then?

Shouldn't be a problem blending in at Rotterdam. It's either Turks, Moroccans or blonde people.

Yes - I know Rotterdam quite well - it doesn't scare me - I feel at home here - they even have the BBC so I could watch Tottenham v WBA last night - well I was tired and my only other option was Dutch language or porn - no comments again please! Porn on Hotel TVs doesn't do anything for me - football was more entertaining!!!!! Went past Feyenoord's stadium on the way here yesterday - can't get that excited at the prospect especially in this cold weather, though I'm sure David and the rest of the boys will go if they get an opportunity.

Rotterdam is a pretty down to earth place and they really don't like Amsterdammers very much as a general rule.

Nothing wrong with Dutch language TV though :) , to be sure you chose the right option though.

As the guys should take that option, it's not like they'll be cold and wet when they are in the nice heated boxes watching the match.

How long have you been in Rotterdam? Are you going to catch up with the Dutch Nalbandian crew?

Thats a great idea Rose...we should meet up....anyway...you know the team more than I do.....have fun tomorrow....and cheer him on for all of us....and oh...btw...I will not get to know the result....I am in hospital tomorrow for a small operation but I should be okay by Wednesday afternoon and be on my way home....hope David is still in the tournament then....so if you cheer loudly.....he WILL win!!!! :)

Hope everything went well Sophia
