:) OK, here is Rogi's bio:

November 6, 2002
Shanghai Preview: Roger Federer

If 2001 was the year that Roger Federer first captured the tennis world's attention, then 2002 is the year that he served notice that he is indeed the real deal. The Swiss No. 1 used his fluid all-court attack to capture three titles in five final appearances, surging to sixth in the ATP Champions Race and qualifying for his first Tennis Masters Cup.
Age: 21
Birthplace: Basel, Switzerland
Residence: Munchenstein, Switzerland
Height: 6'1" (1.85m)
Weight: 177 (80kg)
Turned Pro: 1998
Career Titles: 4
2002 Titles: 3
2002 Win/Loss: 55-21
Career Win/Loss: 155-92
Federer, at 21 the youngest of the eight stars in Shanghai, got off to a sizzling start this year. He won the first event he played - Sydney - taking out Andy Roddick along the way, and reached the fourth round of the Australian Open, where he held a match point against Tommy Haas before surrendering to the German in an 8-6 fifth-set heartbreaker. Undeterred, Federer moved on to Milan, site of his first career title in 2001, and nearly repeated as champion, falling to Davide Sanguinetti in a three-set final.
In March, Federer reached his first Tennis Masters Series final at the NASDAQ-100 Open in Miami, where he dismantled World No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt in the semifinals before succumbing to five-time Miami champion Andre Agassi.
Just two months later in Hamburg, Federer reached his second Masters Series final, and this time he made the most of it. Following impressive wins over Gustavo Kuerten and Max Mirnyi, he demolished Marat Safin in three straight sets in the final to capture a coveted Tennis Masters Series shield for the first time, also marking his first claycourt title.
After his Hamburg triumph, Federer entered into a slump that lasted for most of the summer, as he went just 6-8 including disappointing first-round losses at Roland Garros and Wimbledon, site of his stunning breakthrough victory over Pete Sampras a year earlier. He began to turn things around at the US Open, reaching the fourth round where he lost to Mirnyi, but his game really took off with the start of the indoor season.
Indeed, Federer has gone 14-4 under the roof in his last five events, including a third title of the year in Vienna, a semifinal appearance in his hometown event of Basel, and quarterfinal showings in Moscow and the Tennis Masters Series events in Madrid and Paris. His run of success indoors, combined with the fact that he is the only Masters Cup player with natural serve-and-volley prowess, bode very well for Federer's prospects to do some damage in Shanghai.

Roger's in the gold group with AA, Novak and Juanqui. He's playing JCF on Tuesday!!!

They showed him tonight on Swiss Sport Panorama practicing in Basel. He's flying out tomorrow to Shanghai. He says Juanqui is a tough opponent, very fit. But he also says that everyone is tough and that he'd be happy if he could just make it to the semifinals...

So how did our Rogi look today? Pretty soon... just go out there and do your best Rogi! Eat lots of noodles for a long life!! ;) Pls contribute to our poem thread!

Give me time on the poems. My creative juices are not flowing at the moment, i'm a bit knackered---we officially closed our tennis club today....:(

I'm sure i'll wake up tomorrow with some inspiration. ;)

11-07-2002, 11:56 AM
roger's h2h vs. his opponents:

agassi - 0:3
ferrero - 0:2
novak - 2:3

hmmm... this may not look very nice, but i'm still absolutely optimistic! GO ROGER!

11-07-2002, 02:07 PM
:) Hi Beat!

Give us a Swiss cheer for Rogi! Do you think he can beat Ferrero? It has been a while since they faced each other and Rogi has most certainly improved since then. Juanqui is NOT playing at the top of his game lately and Rogi has been pretty strong these last few weeks, so I think he can do it!! ;) He can turn around that h-to-h!

11-08-2002, 01:03 AM
:) Did you know that Rogi is the youngest player in this year's TMCup? Cool! This is his first time too. Remember that in 1998 Alex Corretja qualified for the first time for the year-end ATP championship in Hannover -- and he WON the whole thing in 5 long sets over Carlos Moya!!

Maybe Rogi can do the same on his first try! ;)

11-08-2002, 03:05 PM
hi rogifan! i'll do as you wish:

*a swiss cheer"

oh, that's too quiet

*a swiss cheer*

o.k. that's more like it

11-08-2002, 03:08 PM
oh, and btw/ i definitely think he can beat ferrero. it's been a while since they last met, and i'm sure roger will be extremely motivated. i have no doubt that he can beat novak. and yes, i really want him to beat agassi for the fist time here as well! :)
it's all within his reach, there's no reason why he shouldn't be able to pull it off.

they both look great, I can't wait for the tourney to start

they call him Fiedler on that site :o

11-09-2002, 11:46 PM
awww, what a sweet pic of Rogi w/ the flowers. Thanks RF :)

It would be great if he could finally beat Andre. I mean, what better place to do it, right?

:) Hey Doris and Mrs. B.

Here's an article on Rogi in Shanghai:

Federer in Schanghai

photos to come ;)

:) I'm curious to know what Rogi says about China and the Chinese people -- surely must be exotic to him and he probably is to them!

How do you get them... more - thank you for sharing!

Have you thought of working with the web guy on Roger's official site? These would really be nice and they're so up to the minute.

11-11-2002, 02:14 AM
:) You know, Rogi always looks so neat! I love this leather jacket he's wearing! Is it the same one he wore in Milano when he was w Juanqui in the Piazza del Duomo?? He IS a classy young guy -- he has STYLE on and off the court! ;) You just can't help but love him!

Federer in Shanghai
"Here everybody want's to touch me"

From Stefan Nägeli from China

Shanghai - In China everything's a bit different. That's the finding of Roger Federer after his first 3 days in Shanghai. With BLICK the swiss tennis-star made a stroll through the quarters "Jin An".

Federer is impressed from Shanghai - the many skyscrapers the aprox 16 mill habitants. "I've never before been in Asia. But I've heard that shanghai is the third largest city of the world. Nevertheless I haven't seen much yet, I want to prepare myself good for the tournament.

Roger has already made first experiences with the Shanghai fans. For the Chinese it's the higest, to make a picture with the tennis-star. The chinese girl Jacky could only been shacked off after Roger posed for a picture patientely. "Here the ppl like to have bodycontact. They want to touch me. I don't mean that negativ but it's unusual." sais Federer.

Strolling thrugh a park the swiss watches curiousely some chinese ppl playing on a table - "chinese Chess" explains one of the players. During the last weeks he himself discovered chess again. and during the tournament in Basel he was always surching for new challengers. "This time I don't have the game with me." says the Baselbieter smiling while watching the chinese.

Les calm as at playing chess it's on shanghais jammed streets. "Here you need patiente" says the 21-yearold "actually the hall isn't that far away from the hotel. But with this traffic we've already needed more than 45 minutes to get there."

One to two times a day he's training at hte international Expo Center. "I slowely start to get used to everything. It's a great hall. it's the same courte as in madrid some weeks ago. It's unusuall that there are no double lines, but we don't need them here."

Roger's anxious about how the tennis-fans are going to react at the first encounter. "I have no idea weather they really know me as a tennisplayer. We'll see how the atmosphere's going to be."

After the stroll work's calling. Roger gets through an other training. At the moment Federer is Nr. 6 in the world, as good as no swiss before. And his next aim is clear: He will enter the top 5 -he's not thinking about a victory at the Masters in Shanghai - not yet.

coment to first pic:
Federer and the typical tourist-picture - infront of the entrance of a chinese temple

coment to second pic:
Finally!! Jacky's posing together with Federer for a picture. For the chinese girl the higest of the feelings.

both pics from Benjamin Soland

11-11-2002, 11:27 AM
Hmm. He plays Chess too?! I wonder if he's good... might be something I could challenge him at.

The Chinese have it right - touch him! They are not silly people. I'll bet they pick and choose who they nuzzle up to ... they're a bright group.

Sounds like Roger's working hard to prepare, not putting too much pressure on himself and having some fun with the people. YAY we get to watch him in 29.5 hours.... but who's counting.

It's just my little fantasy...;)

:) Hi Doris

An interview w Rogi from

:) Sorry Doris I didn't realize how LONG it is! JUst want to know what Rogi thinks of Shanghai and about the match w Juanqui and the tourney in general.

I read that his goal is to reach the Semis. He is impressed w the huge city in its disorder, it's like an Amer city for him. He likes the friendliness of the people, the way the tourney is organized and the attention to detail. He says it's amazing that he hardly knows anything about Shanghai yet feels he already knows the city.

By the time I wake up he and Juanqui should be playing!!!

4-1 Juanqui has been muscled around the court, as the commentator says...

also that Rogi is a superb athlete with all the shots in the book.

How do his camp look?!!

Here's some info fr BBC

First set
Federer 6-3 Ferrero
Some delightful net play and an ace hand Federer three set points and he duly closes out the first set as Ferrero dumps a return over the baseline.

Federer 5-3 Ferrero
Ferrero races into a 40-love lead but is hauled back to 40-30 by Federer before putting away a smash to win the game.

Federer 5-2 Ferrero
Despite a double fault Federer wins his service with little trouble and he is looking much sharper than Ferrero at the moment.

Federer 4-2 Ferrero
A delightful backhand slice and an ace help Ferrero into a 40-love lead and he takes the game when Federer puts a running forehand into the net.

Federer 4-1 Ferrero
Ferrero takes the first point with a glorious backhand pass but Federer then powers through the rest of the game with minimal trouble.

Federer 3-1 Ferrero
A couple of fine forehands help Federer take a 30-love lead on his Spanish opponent's serve.

Ferrero battles back to 30-all but a wayward forehand gives Federer the first break point of the match and Ferrero promptly double-faults to give the Swiss the game.

Federer 2-1 Ferrero
The Swiss is troubling Ferrero with his power, and makes a routine hold of serve.

Federer 1-1 Ferrero
Ferrero is the third Spaniard in action on the first day, and he holds comfortably, despite Federer winning the rally of the match with a big smash.

Federer 1-0 Ferrero
Federer gets off to a solid start in what should prove to be a tight match between the fourth and sixth seeds.

11-12-2002, 01:57 PM
:) :D

Yay, Rogi!!

BBC report on 2nd set:

Second set

Federer 6-3 6-4 Ferrero
Federer closes out the match with the minimum of difficulty to get his Masters Cup campaign off to a winning start. Federer 6-3 5-4 Ferrero
A double fault and wide forehand from Ferrero give Federer a chance at 30-love but he then just misses with a backhand down the line.

However, he forces two break points after a dominant rally and duly takes the game.

Second set
Federer 6-3 4-4 Ferrero
Ferrero's backhand has improved out of sight and he forces deuce with a great passing shot down the line, but Federer wins the next two points comfortably.

Federer 6-3 3-4 Ferrero
Ferrero holds his serve in the crucial seventh game as both players continue to up the level of their play.

Federer 6-3 3-3 Ferrero
Federer produces his fourth double fault of the match but otherwise is under little pressure as he cruises through his service game.

Federer 6-3 2-3 Ferrero
Ferrero is taken to deuce but the Spaniard is playing much better tennis than at the start of the game and holds his serve.

Federer 6-3 2-2 Ferrero
A wild forehand from Federer puts Ferrero 30-15 up and the Swiss player dumps a backhand into the net to hand the Spaniard his first break points of the match.

However, Federer serves and volleys his way out of trouble and wins four points in a row to level the set.

Federer 6-3 1-2 Ferrero
Ferrero's 16th and 17th unforced errors see him fall love-30 down before a lovely drop volley gets him on the board.

A thumping service winner levels the game but Ferrero puts a backhand - his weakest shot - wide to hand Federer a break point, which he saves with a brave volley after a superb rally.

The Spaniard goes on to take the game and keep himself in the match.

Federer 6-3 1-1 Ferrero
Federer mixes in an ace and a double fault as he cruises through his first service game of the second set.

Federer 6-3 0-1 Ferrero
Ferrero puts himself on the back foot as he pushes a backhand wide on the first point but some solid serving secures him a game point.

Federer forces a couple of deuces but some good serving gives Ferrero the game.

Hi Nina!!

Wait til ILR finds out Rogi won in straights!!!

Mrs. B
11-12-2002, 02:04 PM
Tactically he played perfect. He didn't give Juanqui a rhythm at all, mixing his shots and pace the whole time. Kudos to Juanqui, he stayed cool and quite, and made some brilliant shots of his own, once Roger played a deep slice and goes to the net, Juanqui makes a wonderful crosscourt topspin, it was a beauty to see cuz the ball was really low, but i saw him him do that in Basel, that flick of the wrists...great shot in his book.

But the Brit commentators were only praises for the Fed's game...

Yeah, it's also on Swiss tv, but i love the English commentators at Eurosport, they are so good with their analysis on the games, and they're so professional...besides, i'm more comfortable in this language than German. But for sure tonight i'll be watching the FCB match on Swiss tv. Unbedingt ;)

11-12-2002, 02:18 PM
If he continues playing like that, I don't know who can bet him. Out of all players today he was definetely te best :)

Right. They think if a ball was hit to the far side of the baseline it was already dead, then one of the players manages to put it back in play. But the oohss and ahhs are really loud. :D

So, you're going to Paris for the DC, right?

11-12-2002, 02:34 PM
I might, if my coach goes I will. I know a lady who is organising tours so I guess I'll still be able to reserve everything at the last minute

Marat really wants to win it so I hope he will play his best and will not go clubbing for the whole night like he did before some DC match this year. I just don't want Kafel to retire, but I don't think it fully depends on wheather Russia win or not

You didn't know that? Eurosport on our tv in the wohnzimmer has always been programmed to English.
And my remote has dual canal in the bedroom, so i could always switch to English.

Aww, that's sad if Heinz goes. But i mean, he'll still be working for Eurosport, right? I like him a lot. He's so good with his analysis as well, and i like his occasional write ups about tennis on the CH papers...I'm amazed too at how good his English is, and his accent!

Hi, Emma! *waves*

Glad you're here...let's have a small celebration...;)

hope there are no Juanqui supporters around...

11-12-2002, 02:55 PM
I also have Masters Cup on two channels at the same time and always watch it on the Russian channel, the Eurosport Russian commentator is just a disaster, the only thing he says is the scores (wrong very often  ) and some stupid remarks, he also doesn't know English and when a player gives an interview he just starts making stuff up :fiery: why not just let everyone listen?
The commentators on our Russian channel are fine, they are retired players- Metriveli(Wimbledon finalist 73), Morozova (another Wimby finalist, a great player) and Dmitrieva (she played doubles well) so they hang out with the coaches and the players and have a lot of interesting information :) They have their not very good moments though too

11-12-2002, 02:56 PM
Hi Mrs.B :wavey:

Well how shall we celebrate? What should I bring?I dont really feel I should post anything on *cough* other forum ;) Im just reading about how much they wanted Juanqui to win.

:) Hi ILR!

The Spanish press have nothing but good things to say about Rogi vs. Juanqui!!

- basically: history didn't count and Ferrero couldn' do anything vs. Federer
- the Swiss enjoyed playing and in 2 sets he liquidated the Valencian who was not inspired at all
- RF, first-time TMC prevented the Spaniard from racking up a victory in Shanghai; the Swiss displayed impeccable tennis, mostly big FH and clearly dominating at the net
- from the beginning RF was the master absolute of the match rhythm; he attacked JCF w the same weapons and got the right result
- RF constantly went to the net, also splendidly playing this facet of his game
- 2nd set RF played deep w power
- RF never showed any mercy; diff betw the 2 was that 1 was able to take advantage and the other couldn't take ad of the few chances he had; he let his rival serve out the match to win it
- and RF did it decisively as he had done throughout the entire match only giving up one point and serving an ace to win the match in only 1h13m, ending a very intense match betw 2 born hard-hitters
- RF got his 1st win vs. JCF and his 1st of a TMC
- w this win RF proves he's one of the future players who will dominate, part of a fantastic grp of young guys born in the 80s

Forceful Federer masters Ferrero /
Federer was out of the blocks quicker than Ferrero

Roger Federer produced a commanding performance in the Masters Cup as he beat Juan Carlos Ferrero in straight sets in Shanghai. The Swiss player was well on top in the first set, which he took 6-3, but Ferrero put up more of a fight in the second.

He had chances to break the Federer serve but could not take them and Federer clinched the crucial break at 4-4.

Federer duly served out the match to get his Masters Cup campaign off to a winning start in the gold group.

Federer, seeded four, started quicker than his Spanish opponent and he clinched the first break of the match as early as the fourth game.

...first set Ferrero's forehand and serve were working well enough but his backhand was very shaky, while Federer was playing near error-free tennis.

That gave him a lift and he started to play his best tennis of the match, finally forcing his first break points of the match in the next game.

However, Federer served his way out of trouble and he finally clinched the decisive break in the ninth game before holding serve to go top of the gold group. impressive performance by the Swiss player, who's all-round game looked well suited by the indoor court in China.

:) Salut, Meluriel!!

:) More reports [translation below]:

Ferrero ...

translation of Spanish bits:

JCF same game as always, irregular serve, some UEs, his FH working well, moving as well as he could
w the impeccable game of RF; served well, volleyed better, his cannon of FHs allowed him to dominate almost all the points
w an ace and 1h13m RF astounded in his TMC debut

5-4 the Swiss attackes the ball w an incredible violence; JCF tries passing on the R, on the L, high and low, but it’s impossible

4-4 RF saves another delicate situation; he gives the Spaniard little option; again he serves marvellously when it becomes tough

3-4 JCF must start to think about attacking RF, who is making hardly any errors

3-3 RF is a very complete player; besides his big FH, at the net he is almost unsurpassed; in this game he has decided to attack and it works very well; he is offering a wide range of shots

2-3 RF gets to everything but JCF is hitting well now; his FH is now working and this is good news; a great match by both

1-2 JCF playing well, but before one of the fastest players on the circuit, who gets to all the balls w enough time to hit and find the line

1-1 however RF wins his service game without difficulty; his serve is better than the Spaniard’s

0-1 the Swiss is playing very deep and hitting hard; he’s not allowing JCF to dominate the points

6-3 love game for RF and the 1st set goes to him

5-2 RF’s serve, very sure from deep in the court while his main strength is at the net

4-2 serving much better than JCF in this game; the Swiss has conceded only 2 points on his serve

4-1 RF’s FH is working better at the moment than JCF’s, the best weapon of both players

3-1 both have come out very aggressive, but the Spaniard is making more errors

ANY new photos anyone??

Rogi' interview

Roger Federer (d. Ferrero 63 64)

QUESTION: Everything seemed to be perfect today. Was it only an impression or did everything go well for you?

ROGER FEDERER: I was very excited to get out there, really, was my first appearance in a Masters Cup and I wouldn't say I was nervous, was just very exciting and I didn't know how the Chinese -- the Asian people will react because I don't know them, they don't know me. Maybe they know me better than I know them, but was very special moment for me and I'm very happy to have won my first match and it's a very nice feeling I have to say.

QUESTION: Do you have any comments on the Chinese spectators? Do you have any comments on the reaction of the spectators?

ROGER FEDERER: I think they're very enthusiastic and it's very comfortable crowd, they don't disturb you during the point and when there is a good point, they applaud a lot and they even scream. So I think it's very good feeling, good atmosphere out there for us players and I enjoyed a lot anyway today.

QUESTION: From today's match, did you perform up to your expectations or did Ferrero play not to his expectations?

ROGER FEDERER: Tough to answer. I mean, I'm happy with my performance today. I believe he didn't quite get the rhythm he maybe wanted to, but I mean that's maybe also because of me, because I played a lot of slice and I serve well and so I mean really you have to wait for him and ask him, but with my game, I'm pretty happy.

QUESTION: This one means for you the semifinals is closer or do you think it's something different begins now and you have still to win the next two matches.

ROGER FEDERER: Well, I think the start is very important. I think Juan Carlos -- I wouldn't say a lot of pressure on his shoulders, but I mean to get a chance to get to the semis, he needs to win his next two matches and that's two very tough opponents, but still I think every match counts the same, really. I mean, I don't think the first is more important than the second because a win is one point, so but still I think it's just mentally it feels better to have won the first match.

QUESTION: You seem to be the most relaxed player in this tournament because you have the time to look around Shanghai and you're always smiling. Is that because of your relaxed approach, that's why you are winning?

ROGER FEDERER: I don't know if that's the reason, but I mean I am very relaxed guy, on and off the court, and I think I'm pretty good to hang out with, but if that's the reason that I won't today, I don't think so. I mean, it's not enough to be nice guy, you know, and win
matches. I think you need a certain professional approach and hard work needs to be behind the scenes. So I'm just I guess relaxed, in your opinion, that's nice.

SCHANGHAI – Hardrock beim Einlaufen.

Rock on, if listening to hard rock music motivates him, he can blast more AC/DC from his stereo! Pump up the volume!!!!!

Glad to know those Swiss students were around, and prolly other CH people in Shanghai who were there to support him...
and i'm sure the Chinese did enjoy their first glimpse of Roger's tennis...

doris, we had the same rhythm yesterday, i think. after having been to the cinema, i got back home really late and caught the 2nd set of fed vs. fer. and i loved it! what a beautiful match it was! once again it dawned on me how much i like roger's style. it's so fluent and easy on the eye. just brilliant. and jfc played well, too, so i'm glad i saw a part of this match.

oh, so it was listening to AC/DC that helped him. :D Thanks, Mrs. B :) i remember somebody saying he and PL met them after his Wimby win over Pete. Keep on rockin', Rogi!

Thanks for the pics and interview, Nina. Its nice to see what he thinks about the crowd and hes right! They are very into it and they do scream sometimes during a point. Its really cute. :)

AC/DC pushed roger to the victory
Federer convinced on his first apearance - semifinal-qualification got closer.

From Stefan Nägeli from china

Shanghai - Hardrock while entering. And pretty loud swiss fans during the game: Ath the first showing of Roger Federer (21) everything was perfect - 6:3 6:4 win over JCF

Roger loves the music of the australian Hardrock-Band AC/DC. And he enjoys the support of the fans. "I was surprised, that there were so many swiss around. But also the asian public was very enjoyable", says Roger after his first ever win over Ferrero.

17 Students from the universities of St. Gallen and from ETH Zürich been cheering for the swiss very loud. Again and again they hold up the letters "ROGER FEDERER". Sidenote here's the prove of it from the masters site:
The "students initiatie" is visiting several firms at the moment in Shanghai to discover something about the chinese economy. "We've already bought the tickets for the Masters months ago and kept hoping that Roger will make it" Says Marcel Jäggi one of the students.

After an hour and 12 minutes Federer had his first matchpoint and made it soverinly wit an ace. "I never gave him the rythm. I knew I was stronger from the back" summed the Baselbieter.

Today Federer has his day off and will watch the match between Agassi and Novak from his group. "I believe Novak is still injured a little bit. That's why I'm preparing to play Agassi next." said Faderer who will play the winner of this match tomorrow.

Rogers first succed doesn't change much on the outcome, despite the chances of reaching the semifinal qualification has increased. "Mentally it's for sure good to start with a win. But the next game is just as important" Said Roger and was happy that there was an FCB shirt to be seen in the Expo Hall from Shanghai.

Roger sorry for giving you a wrong advice. But I really fovoured AA over Novak. Boy was I wrong!!
Well now focus on Novak as your next opponent tomorrow!!
You know what you have to do to beat him!!

Just remember Vienna. I know it's not the same but you have all the skills to beat him!!

11-13-2002, 11:47 AM
:) OK Rogi you play Novak next eh? You can beat him! It's great that Rogi scouted the match and checked both players out!! Good strategy there!! And Juanqui can beat AA now too!!!

I feel badly for Marat -- he must be tired after winning Paris... he better rest up for DC!!

Juanqui couldn't read Rogi's serve -- that threw him off. Hope Rogi really KICKS ASS tomorrow -- he can do it -- his revenge. And it's a big one to kick too!! :p I just love Rogi to bits!! :hearts:  I'm sort of half in my PJs now!! Getting half my breakie eaten! Now I actually have to do some WORK!! Yuk!! [even though she's a married woman]... it IS a good thing that i don't seem old to you! some people even in their 20s seem OLD because of their attitude -- not a good thing! and some "old" people seem young cos of their outlook on life -- very good indeed! i never acted my age ever!

11-13-2002, 03:03 PM
Hello !!
Effectivement, je me suis vraiment beaucoup amusé, c'est clair, j'ai vu énormément de joueurs et bien entendu notre héros à tous, the best of the best, j'ai nommé: Rogi !!!! ;)

11-13-2002, 03:04 PM
:) i shall leave you to ruminate while i step out for a bit [in my PJS?!] oops, too cold out there! i'll be back! another UEFA match today -- nobody interesting to me anyway... can't remember -- oh, actually might be deportivo -- any good?? see you soon!

you're just a young sweetie:angel: just like our ROGI!!!

11-13-2002, 03:08 PM
Im a young sweetie?Ah..:) thanks for the pic :D Deportivo?Yeah, they're pretty good, quite an attractive style of football they play.See you later! :wavey:

11-13-2002, 03:29 PM
Merci Doris!!

11-13-2002, 04:10 PM
:) Salut Meluriel!

Quelle belle photo tu as prise de Rogi!!

Il a tres bien joue hier -- tu l'as vu?

why don't we just stick to English here please, i think Meluriel has written in English before and not everybody understand French here, i can sort out some words and get the idea, but it kinds of isolate some of us i think..

However, if that's a problem for you Marie, perhaps you should have a thread for you in French then those who speak/write it among the fans here can go there...

I don't know , it's just an idea...

any thoughts on this????

:) Meluriel can send Fren stuff in a PM to anyone who speaks Fren and they can translate in this forum for the others OR she can just post in English w minimal Fren to be translated.

How does that sound, Mrs. B.?

We can help her w Eng too so she can post more easily for the rest of us.

OR she can just send us lovely big photos of Rogi!!

So Rogi plays Novak first, then Juanqui/AA, followed by Hewitt/Safin [boy, Marat's had a hard time!! he should have played the 2nd day! poor thing!]

We probably will see Juanqui tomorrow [Hewitt/Moya today I hope].

Yes I'm shy !!! very shy!!! But I learn English since three months !! My English's teacher is so happy that I speak English on Internet but it's very very difficult for me!! :(
I'll try to speak in english but I promess you nothing !!
