Yes,the most important thing is that Alex won this match! This will give him the chance to play a second match and find his rythm.Next one is Almagro, against he lost 2 weeks ago.But Alex is a very smart player. So I think, this time he will know better how to play aginst the "youngster" Vamos Alex!! HybridTheory 02-15-2005, 08:19 PM Hi all! RogiFan88 02-15-2005, 08:29 PM Yes, I think Alex plays Ventura next--also not an easy match, but VAMOS ALEX!!! :) HybridTheory 02-15-2005, 08:31 PM I don't know why, but I would prefer him playing Ventura over Almagro. Just because he lost to him 2 weeks ago, it was in straight sets, right? HybridTheory 02-15-2005, 08:33 PM From his official site: After receiving a wild-card entry into the Brasil Open in Costa do Sauipe, Alex's first hurdle will be overcoming No. 5 seed Spaniard David Ferrer. In his first appearance in Costa do Sauipe, Alex is scheduled to face in-form Ferrer to improve his record to 3-0. While similiar in stature, Alex comes into the match with much more experience. The winner of this match will face another Spaniard, Santiago Ventura who already defeated Nicolas Almagro to advance to the second round. Come on Alex! :bounce: Win another match! ;) Angelique 1 02-15-2005, 08:54 PM Sorry,I´m wrong!! Of course next one is Ventura!I was a little bit confused, because Almagro and Ventura had a first round match lst week,if I remember well, and last week won Almagro. But anyway it will not be easy. deflori 02-15-2005, 09:31 PM Dont now them, here a pic i posted also in the gallery,so cute, and the stylisch shirt: ))) http://www2.uol.com.br/tenisbrasil/brasilopen/2005/galeria/Corretja002.jpg HybridTheory 02-15-2005, 09:33 PM Thanks again Flo  :yeah: deflori 02-15-2005, 09:41 PM He looks like a old daddy on that pic;) BUT HELL YEAHHHHH I NEED THAT SHIRT,its so stylisch !! VAMOS ALEX FIGHT TILL THE END:) HybridTheory 02-16-2005, 03:03 PM I think Alex did play against him before, in the Spanish national championships, last year or in 2003. He lost that match, by the way. Here's a picture of that match deflori 02-16-2005, 05:57 PM S. Ventura(ESP) - A. This is not good... the delay can change everything now... HybridTheory 02-16-2005, 08:43 PM Rain delays are most of time not good for Alex  He's not lucky now ... Come on Alex  Pea 02-16-2005, 10:53 PM Come Alex!! Gracias! Angelique 1 02-18-2005, 08:15 PM On Alex´ web-site you can read, that he will play in Acapulco and is in the alternate-list. But on the www.stevegtennis.com web-site there is a forum, where you can see the entry lists and updates.Last information is,that Alex has withdrawn from Acapulco! Do anybody know more?I hope it is not true.Would be bad for him,if he is injured or sick(many players had flu in Costa do Sauipe) RogiFan88 02-18-2005, 09:31 PM Angelique, I was just checking the tournament site and I don't see his name anywhere. He didn't get a wildcard cos they just gave the last one to Mariano Puerta (the other two to Mexican players). And his name is not in the qualification list. Hope he's not ill or injured! :( I believe that Costa will be withdrawing and possibly Nadal also to prepare for Davis Cup in Slovakia...
