Yes, I think Alex plays Ventura next--also not an easy match, but VAMOS ALEX!!! :)

I don't know why, but I would prefer him playing Ventura over Almagro.

After receiving a wild-card entry into the Brasil Open in Costa do Sauipe, Alex's first hurdle will be overcoming No. 5 seed Spaniard David Ferrer.

In his first appearance in Costa do Sauipe, Alex is scheduled to face in-form Ferrer to improve his record to 3-0. While similiar in stature, Alex comes into the match with much more experience. The winner of this match will face another Spaniard, Santiago Ventura who already defeated Nicolas Almagro to advance to the second round.

Of course next one is Ventura!I was a little bit confused,because Almagro and Ventura
had a first round match lst week,if I remember well,and last week won Almagro.

On Alex´ web-site you can read,that he will play in Acapulco and is in the alternate-list.
But on the www.stevegtennis.com web-site there is a forum,where you can see the entry lists and updates.Last information is,that Alex has withdrawn from Acapulco!
Do anybody know more?I hope it is not true.Would be bad for him,if he is injured or sick(many players had flu in Costa do Sauipe)

Angelique, I was just checking the tournament site and I don't see his name anywhere. He didn't get a wildcard cos they just gave the last one to Mariano Puerta (the other two to Mexican players). And his name is not in the qualification list. Hope he's not ill or injured! :(

I believe that Costa will be withdrawing and possibly Nadal also to prepare for Davis Cup in Slovakia...
