Muahahah yesterday my bro and I went to a hockey game, and it was Russian Lokomotiv Yaroslav vs some Canadian team :p And anyways Russia won 11 - 4 :p LOL the funny thing is the Russian team were younger than the Canadian :o The Russians were like 15, 16 , 17 and the Canadian dear lord they had 18, 19 even a 20 year old in that team, pretty big age difference there :o
Anyways the 10 Russians that were in the stadium were all cheering and going crazy so it made up for the fact that the rest of the Canucks were giving us looks and crap :o

CANBERRA, Jan.7 - Top seed Nathalie Dechy of France was forced to withdraw from the Canberra Women's Classic today just 19 minutes into her first round match against Germany's Marlene Weingartner. Weingartner led 5-0 in the first set.

Dechy, who won her first WTA title on the Gold Coast last weekend, had carried a quadriceps strain into the Canberra Women's Classic and she re-aggravated the injury during the warm-up.
"It is an injury I have been carrying since late last year," a disappointed Dechy said afterwards.
"I was hoping that with two days rest the injury might improve but that wasn't the case.I am disappointed that I must retire from this tournament but I am hopeful that I will be able to still play in Melbourne."

On the back of her Gold Coast win Dechy has achieved a career high ranking of No.19 in the world and she is expected to be seeded 16th at the Australian Open beginning next week.

Dechy was elevated to top seed at Canberra following the withdrawal on Saturday of defending champion Anna Pistolesi of Israel on Saturday. Pistolesi withdrew after suffering heat exhaustion during a semi-final match in Auckland.
In the other early match today Adriana Serra-Zanetti of Italy progressed to the quarter-finals with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Saori Obata of Japan.

OK.... I guess we should discuss it here or on AIM, the problem with being casual staff at a university is that the university treats you, well, casually. I'm out of contract at the moment (will be till my boss returns from leave at the end of this month) and the IT division want to remove my internet and email privileges :rolleyes: We are trying to fix it.... but chances are my email won't be ...errr... working for at least a week from next week. :mad:

I'll need people to remind me about FMTT stuff too... I missed the points deadline AGAIN! :o :o :o I'll probably still stick with FMTT (if y'all do), but I suspect I'll be retiring from both FWTT juniors and FATP at the end of the Aus Open. Just too much on my plate at the moment.
