APPLEBEE'S WALNUT BLONDIE WITH MAPLE BUTTER SAUCE

Dough
1 C. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 C. chopped walnuts
1/3 C. butter or margarine
1 C. packed brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 T. vanilla extract
1/2 C. white chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Sift flour, add baking powder, baking soda and salt. Sift again. Add chopped nuts. Mix well and set aside.

Melt butter. Add brown sugar and mix well. Add egg and vanilla extract. Blend well. Add flour mixture, a little at a time, mixing well. Stir in white chocolate chips. Spread in a 9-inch square pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean or with slightly fudgy-looking crumbs. Serve with ice cream and Maple Butter Sauce.

Maple Butter Sauce
3/4 C. maple syrup
1/2 C. butter
3/4 C. brown sugar
1/2 C. walnuts, chopped (optional)

Combine syrup and butter, cook over low heat until butter is melted. Stir in brown sugar until dissolved. Add walnuts, if desired. Serves 4.

I just got done watching my tape of Lleyton's QF vs. Roddick from last year's US Open, and it has reassured me greatly. Lleyton (IMO) didn't play well AT ALL in that match. I mean, he didn't suck or anything, but it wasn't anything spectacular. Certainly nothing at all compared to the level he's played at since winning the Open last year. It makes me feel very optimistic about his chances of becoming a repeat winner. :D

Well then, more power to Bjork. Though personally I think the swan dress from the Oscars was a bit much. :p

Eh, I really can't tell you too much. I saw a bit of the first set, and Lleyton seemed to be doing okay. Then he got down a break in the 2nd, then went up a break, but lost it again. I think he might've held serve once more before the rain delay. That was all the coverage I got.

I think probably just a combination of being sick and not playing on hard courts for a couple of months, plus the like 2 hour rain delay was just too much for him. He should be fine in the Open, though, assuming he's not sick.

Oh wait, I remember what the problem was--you got his autograph. :p

Pffff :p It actually didn't really bother me that much lol... my friend dropped in sometime during the second set and we went to the beach lol... then we came home, had supper, rented a movie a pigged out!! All in all a very productive night lol.... we watched Joy Ride :D Anybody watch that movie??? All I can say is :confused: what a crappy ending lol

Erm yeah I knew that much, my coverage got killed when the rain delay started :( So didn't get to see what happend to him... well I'm not to worried about the open, he always finds a way out of his sickness :)

No, I haven't seen Joyride. But I think Paul Walker is trying to base his career on making stupid movies. I mean, Meet the Deedles, The Skulls, The Fast and the Furious, Joyride...need I go on?

I saw part of it... and then another part of it... but didn't finish watching it, AUSSIE RULES was on afterall :p It looked pretty bad I don't know why it got so much Hype :o
