Well, I don't think anybody is here, but I have been so post-deprived the last couple of days... I have some really high-maintenance houseguests staying with me for a week. I don't even have time to turn on my computer :( I missed all sorts of good stuff, like Kim winnning Luxemburg. I just saw the pictures and I must say that trophy is UGLY:o :o
Were they going for the most gaudy trophy ever?

Does the Angels winning mean baseball season is over? I hope so, I was over baseball 5 minutes ago.

Does anybody know where Kin is this week?

Can't wait for LA. Venus is still depressed, Cappy got breadsticked in her last match, Serena must be rusty, RT can't win a match anymore, Martina and Amelie are out, Lindsay chokes and Justine can't win from Kim. Really, it's Kim's for the taking :D

Well the pregnancy jumper thing is a bit of a long story :o And no, I'm not pregnant :p A bit before the Masters Cup last year some rumours surfaced that Kimmie was pregnant and that she was going to get an abortion  And then during the Masters Cup she was wearing this big gray jumper ( that I assume was Lleyton's  ) and my friend ( who is anti Lleyki :fiery: ) said well there you, she's wearing a big jumper to cover up her big belly  and one day we were talking about that and I think Mazza or Marly said something about the fact that she had a big jumper so she must be pregnant too lol... so ever since then my big jumper = pregnancy jumper :D

Thousands? No but hundreds? Definetly :D :D

LL has a 53-13 win/loss ratio this year. His losses

Martin, Alberto (ESP) 6-1 1-6 4-6 6-7(4) :fiery:
Federer, Roger (SUI ) 3-6 4-6
Moya, Carlos (ESP) 4-6 3-6  :fiery:
Gaudio, Gaston (ARG) 4-6 5-7
Moya, Carlos (ESP) 3-6 2-6 :fiery:
Safin, Marat (RUS) 3-6 1-6
Canas, Guillermo (ARG) 7-6(1) 6-7(13) 4-6 3-6
Mantilla, Felix (ESP) 6-2 4-6 3-6
Moya, Carlos (ESP) 5-7 6-7(5) :fiery: :fiery: :fiery:
Rusedski, Greg (GBR) 6-7(3) 4-6
Agassi, Andre (USA) 4-6 6-7(5) 7-6(1) 2-6 :fiery: :fiery:
Srichaphan, Paradorn (THA) 4-6 3-6
Sluiter, Raemon (NED) 3-6 3-6

(Not including a walkover to Clement in Den Bosch)

The majority he's lost to are the "clay court" specialists. The last couple have been the "bad" losses. 3 times defeated by Moya in 1 calendar year :o I dread to think if Minging Moya qualies for Shanghai and is in LL's group :o

In doubles LL is 5/7 :o His partners have been Scott Draper, Henminger   (What was he thinking :o), Nathan Healey, Andrew Florent & Pim Pim :D

That's interesting, that he seems to tend to lose from clay court specialists. I guess that would make sense though. LL is a counter-puncher. He is at his best when running and wearing down a very aggressive player. But clay court specialists just keep the ball in play until somebody makes a mistake, so LL is more forced be aggressive and make the play (and errors) himself.

Lleyton can't mambo... or samba... or whatever... his hip action is crap, he goes down too low... can't take the balls that are high ... loopy... spinny... god I can't talk today :o His backhand is so much lower compare to the standard backhand... that's why he has toughies with those clay courters :o Has anyone seen how Seb Grosjean always jumps when he takes a lot of his balls... Lleyton should do that more often on his backhand :)

True but Agassi is the same way, he's not that agressive... but he can take those loopy shots... Lleyton seems to have some sort of crappy time with them... I think he could counterpunch till nightfall ... it's just how low he gets he's really uncomfortable with high shots.

J. COETZEE / C. HAGGARD 1 0

Remember those kids? They were the ones to beat Lley and Pim pim :o Erm that sure puts things in prospective...

Static
10-28-2002, 10:16 PM
I just realized I spelled perspective wrong :o
Anyways, Escude and Santoro are an upper class of double's players... those that were lucky enough to see either one of them play doubles knows that it's a pleasure to watch (No don't remind me about the blue shorts :o ). Anyways I usually hate comparing how other players beat other players, but if Lleyton wants to get better doubles results (or singles results for that matter) he has to find a partner that he can work with well (that way he can get more practice for his singles matches... when he needs it)... and not just pick out his random mates :o

Just got home from the conference. My talk was OK... I was too nervous at the start, but my boss thought I did well. I wasn't too happy with the talk, but I am a fussy worrier.

I've also received unofficial news that one of the examiners of my PhD thesis is happy with it and will be recommending the award of the degree. If the other examiner thinks the same, it'll be all over. :) *crosses fingers*

I played the violin when I was younger and I loved it and dreamt of becoming a concert soloist (pff... pity I didn't have that magnitude of talent  ) but I stopped playing once I got to the final year of my undergraduate degree.

Last night I was walking to my car when I stepped into a pothole in the parking lot (I didn't see it because it the parking lot is poorly lit). But it's been a long time since I've hurt my anke this badly, because it hurts like a .... oh, well, I'll just hobble along here.

Yes, it seemed to me the reporter was leading Carl on. Then the headline or whatever it was was taken out of context. The journalist was obviously looking to cause a bit of a stir, which s/he seems to have been successful at.

Come on, Lleyton!
I'm glad Kim is there, if for no other reason than to diffuse his anger when he hears about the Carl article. ;)

Oh my Ange  That's not good :o

Are those Niemi winners because Niemi is being good or are they because Lley is being sleepy?
