Scotso 10-07-2002, 12:21 AM Night Angele  Peridotpixie 10-07-2002, 12:23 AM well, if it's the Cardinals vs. the D'Backs, and he cheers for the Braves, he's either stupid or has the sense of humor of that idiot Brit at Wimbledon. Scotso 10-07-2002, 12:23 AM pfff they hit lockhart to keep him from homering lol bases loaded... GO BRAVES! Scotso 10-07-2002, 12:25 AM COME ON TOMMY! MAKE ME PROUD BABY! (YOU OWE US  ) Murkofan 10-07-2002, 12:25 AM Jilli :p I don't care if they're playing or not, if it's baseball season, always cheer for the Braves. ;) Scotso 10-07-2002, 12:25 AM Son of a bitch, can't you swing the damn bat? PF! Murkofan 10-07-2002, 12:27 AM You'd think pitchers would be better hitters, as they should be able to think/see what's likely to happen in whatever situation they're in. Scotso 10-07-2002, 12:33 AM 3-0 Giants  Stupid Braves  SNAP OUT OF IT! Murkofan 10-07-2002, 12:37 AM This is such crap. I'm going to work on my scholarship essay for a while. Scotso 10-07-2002, 12:40 AM I understand your frustration  Scotso 10-07-2002, 12:48 AM  I'm off for a few. Scotso 10-07-2002, 01:39 AM I've rarely seen the Braves suck this badly. Scotso 10-07-2002, 02:02 AM Well they're fighting a little bit now at least. 3-8. Peridotpixie 10-07-2002, 02:13 AM Hmm. Well, you never know. (shrug) I've been thinking I should really get myself a tape of the US Open final from last year and/or the Roland Garros final. Anyone have any ideas? I know you guys aren't here now, but, well, you will be at some point. Scotso 10-07-2002, 02:17 AM I want the US Open final. Why would you want the RG final? :p fcap 10-07-2002, 02:18 AM :wavey: Morning guys!! Scotso 10-07-2002, 02:25 AM Yes, but not a good one  I don't know why I'm so pissy. I guess because I didn't get much sleep. fcap 10-07-2002, 02:33 AM Im going too watch the end of center stage again .......... Bak lata :wavey: Scotso 10-07-2002, 02:34 AM I love that movie... :hearts: Ilia Kulik :hearts: Scotso 10-07-2002, 02:38 AM One inning left, put on your rally caps! Scotso 10-07-2002, 02:48 AM 1st and 2nd, one out... :bounce: RALLY :bounce: Scotso 10-07-2002, 02:54 AM They lost. They should use Matt Franco tomorrow instead of Julio. They should change the lineup, too. I suggest: 1. Furcal 2. DeRosa 3. C. Jones 4. Sheffield 5. M. Franco 6. A. Jones 7. Lopez 8. Castilla 9. pitcher That way you have a great deal of speed at the start, and power from 2-8. Long ball chances. Puss-in-Boots 10-07-2002, 03:11 AM :wavey: I'm sorry to hear they lost  ... but I did my homework, they're tied 2-2 and playing tomorrow, so I'll come and cheer correctly! :bounce: :) Scotso 10-07-2002, 03:26 AM lol... ok :p Scotso 10-07-2002, 03:32 AM yes and you didn't notice  Puss-in-Boots 10-07-2002, 03:34 AM Sure! Scotso 10-07-2002, 03:37 AM ;) Scotso 10-07-2002, 03:38 AM Btw your opponent sent points do you want to know the result? Puss-in-Boots 10-07-2002, 03:45 AM Ooooh.... now I am so nervous :o :o :o...errm.... OK, why not, I guess if both of us have points in, the result is final anyway. I am fearful... he could have gotten an idea of my distribution before he sent his points because I've already 'played' 2 matches.... Scotso 10-07-2002, 03:47 AM You lose. Scotso 10-07-2002, 03:47 AM At least next week you probably won't have to qualify. Puss-in-Boots 10-07-2002, 03:48 AM *cough* Please excuse me while I throw a paddy. :fiery::mad::sad::fiery::mad::sad::fiery::mad: :fiery::mad::sad::fiery::mad::sad::fiery: :sad::fiery::mad: Puss-in-Boots 10-07-2002, 03:51 AM Cool... I prolly won't have to qualify next week... that's a good thing I suppose... so exactly how many rankings points did I earn? Two? LOLOLOL! On to doubles! How is that shaping up, btw? Scotso 10-07-2002, 03:52 AM OMG the Braves final game comes on tomorrow at 8pm and Bush is supposed to make a prime time speech. If he interrupts the Braves game... :fiery: Scotso 10-07-2002, 03:52 AM uhm hold on let me check my notes Scotso 10-07-2002, 03:55 AM Of the 4 other teams that have sent points, you would lose to three of them. So pray that more teams send points and you get lucky. :p Puss-in-Boots 10-07-2002, 04:00 AM OMG! I so suck at this! :fiery: Scotso 10-07-2002, 04:02 AM I told you it's not just numbers, it's luck. You just hope what you send beats what they send. :p Puss-in-Boots 10-07-2002, 04:03 AM This is just outrageous, I just simply CANNOT suck at anything! :fiery:  Scotso 10-07-2002, 04:03 AM ... you guys were a little too conservative. Puss-in-Boots 10-07-2002, 04:03 AM *cough* OK, paddy over.... how has your day been? Puss-in-Boots 10-07-2002, 04:04 AM :o Those were conservative? Wow, I do have a lot to learn. Puss-in-Boots 10-07-2002, 04:04 AM Originally posted by GoLleyt I told you it's not just numbers, it's luck. You just hope what you send beats what they send. :p Then why are some people consistently better than others? Scotso 10-07-2002, 04:07 AM Why do some people fly once and their plane crashes and some people fly hundreds of times and never so much as face a delay? That's life :p What can I say? Scotso 10-07-2002, 04:08 AM My day started well but sucks ass now because of the stupid Braves. Puss-in-Boots 10-07-2002, 04:08 AM  Puss-in-Boots 10-07-2002, 04:11 AM At least they're not completely out yet, hopefully they can turn things around tomorrow :) Peridotpixie 10-07-2002, 04:25 AM Here's something interesting: According to this week's "look forward" --and I KNOW it's a long shot given her draw--but if Kim does well (which presumably means finals or winning the whole tournie) she'll go to number 5. Scotso 10-07-2002, 04:26 AM They WILL. Scotso 10-07-2002, 04:50 AM I'm off to play a game with Becs, be back in a few. :p Jackie 10-07-2002, 07:41 AM Originally posted by Peridotpixie Here's something interesting: According to this week's "look forward" --and I KNOW it's a long shot given her draw--but if Kim does well (which presumably means finals or winning the whole tournie) she'll go to number 5. Lots of quality points :) Scotso 10-07-2002, 07:52 AM Paul-Henri Mathieu enters the top 50! :D :bounce: Paul-Henri :bounce: Scotso 10-07-2002, 08:27 AM After seeing that none of my playasport.com players won a match, I'm going to bed in defeat. I actually have a lot of homework to do tomorrow because I've been super lazy this weekend. Plus the Braves game is on at night so I have to get it done early and I'm up so late. :o See you all tomorrow. :bounce: Go Braves! :bounce: :wavey: Puss-in-Boots 10-07-2002, 08:27 AM *drowning his sorrows in a tin of butter cookies* Mmmmm.... cookies! :lick: Puss-in-Boots 10-07-2002, 08:29 AM :wavey: Good night, Scott! Thanks for chatting earlier today! :) Puss-in-Boots 10-07-2002, 08:30 AM Oh yes... :bounce: GO BRAVES!! :bounce: Puss-in-Boots 10-07-2002, 09:08 AM :D :D Chicken and mushroom ravioli with Siciliana sauce! :lick: I LOVE food! :D Angele 10-07-2002, 10:43 AM Hi a quick hi and bye to everybody ( or nobody :o ) before I go to school :wavey: Puss-in-Boots 10-07-2002, 11:13 AM LOL, I set up a tennis player and a skater on playasport.com.... that site takes a bit of getting used to! LOL fcap 10-07-2002, 11:47 AM :wavey: Hey everyone!! My friend George is here and i was showing her the confrontation thread!! :p:p freakske 10-07-2002, 11:56 AM Hi Y'All!!!!!!!!! :wavey: Peridotpixie 10-07-2002, 03:56 PM Well, this thread is very dead today, isn't it? Go Kim & Chanda! And whip Myskina tomorrow, Kim, you and I both know you can. ;) BTW, there's a picture of Kim at the draw with Babsi and Anke at the WTA site. She must have jinxed herself! I hope no, um, inappropriate words slipped out of her mouth until she had safely returned to her hotel room. Scotso 10-07-2002, 04:15 PM Wow, it is dead! Bush IS making his speech during the Braves game! That ass better not take too long. Doesn't he know this is the postseason? I thought he was supposed to be a baseball fan! Way to go, Dubya! Hania 10-07-2002, 05:02 PM Helloo all! :wavey: I'm so proud of myself, I've done all of my homework and it's sonly 6, how out of character for me  Scotso 10-07-2002, 05:12 PM Hannah! That is shocking! :o :p I'm about to get started on my homework right now. I'll be back later! GO BRAVES! :D Hania 10-07-2002, 05:24 PM Au revoir ma cherie!!!!! :wavey:  Peridotpixie 10-07-2002, 05:46 PM Well, according to today's news, the numbers supporting Bush's plan to invade Iraq have dropped. 60% of the people polled said they would like the weapons inspectors to go in first, 60% said not to attack without our allies, and 70% said not without congressional approval. What really shocking--about half of the people said to wait until we are attacked before we make a move! These numbers make me pretty happy, but probably make Bush very cranky, hence the speech. He'll try to get them up. I hope he fails. By the way, Kim and Chanda took the first set in a tiebreak and it looks like Momo/Justine will take the second. Hania 10-07-2002, 05:49 PM oooh, where are you getting the scores from? Angele 10-07-2002, 06:05 PM :wavey: zanychick 10-07-2002, 06:13 PM hey everyone :wavey: Peridotpixie 10-07-2002, 06:15 PM Scores are from http://www.wtafans.com/porchegrandprix.html They're 1-4 in the third. Erghhh. I want to know if Lleyton is there!! Angele 10-07-2002, 06:15 PM Hi Clare :wavey: Are you on MSN? I can't get mine to work  Angele 10-07-2002, 06:16 PM Kim and Chanda  Peridotpixie 10-07-2002, 06:16 PM Ok, they apparently lost 2-6 in the third. Sigh. Oh, well. Concentrate on beating Myskina tomorrow, Kimmy. Angele 10-07-2002, 06:17 PM Better luck in singles Kimmie  Does anybody know when the player's party is? ;) Hania 10-07-2002, 06:19 PM Dunno, but hopefully we'll get another cute pic like last year  I LOVE MSN! :hearts: Angele 10-07-2002, 06:20 PM Wtf isn't my MSN working :fiery: :fiery: :fiery: Peridotpixie 10-07-2002, 06:22 PM I assume the players party was last night--isn't it usually on the Sunday, before the tournament starts? Unfortunately, the WTA site has no pictures from it, and the official website hasn't bothered to post pictures of anything yet. Hania 10-07-2002, 06:24 PM *Willing a Lleyki pic to emerge* Angele 10-07-2002, 06:25 PM I just hope that whenever the player's party is/was, there will be pictures :D zanychick 10-07-2002, 06:26 PM im on msn but my list isnt there so people have to talk to me first or else i dont know they are there Hania 10-07-2002, 06:31 PM The long and winding roooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad Angele 10-07-2002, 06:32 PM Oh mine is working now :D :bounce: Hania 10-07-2002, 06:42 PM My computer just froze and I had to start the whole thing up again! Murkofan 10-07-2002, 06:46 PM :wavey: I'm in BCIS 2. Scotso 10-07-2002, 06:51 PM Marly, you should be pleased this week in doubles ;) Murkofan 10-07-2002, 06:53 PM Oh, I guess Espinosa/Vandecaetsbeek drew the one team we'd beat, right? Yay. :D Hania 10-07-2002, 06:58 PM :p Murkofan 10-07-2002, 07:01 PM :p I just finished my test. I've got the fastest fingers in the South. :p Scotso 10-07-2002, 07:02 PM Next to mine. I practice a LOT. Actually one other team sent points, and you face them too. Had I made a qualifying draw, you wouldn't have made it out of it. You lucked out. Hania 10-07-2002, 07:03 PM I have a fit I.T teacher Murkofan 10-07-2002, 07:04 PM Well, burst my bubble then. :p So (assuming I'm correct in assuming we pass the 1st round) will Allan and I have to send another set of points, or will we be going by the same one? Hania 10-07-2002, 07:04 PM My posts seem forever stuck in the 680's :( Scotso 10-07-2002, 07:07 PM You use the same points. Hania 10-07-2002, 07:08 PM I hate water, bloody detox Am I in a world of my own? Angele 10-07-2002, 07:08 PM only two more to go Hannah :bounce: Scotso 10-07-2002, 07:08 PM Doubles QF Espinosa/Vandecaetsbeek def. (4)Almasy/London 6-2 7-5 Bargary/Esaiasson def. (3)Lapentti/Spencer 6-2 1-6 6-4 Go there and post an article or something :p I want people to get involved! Murkofan 10-07-2002, 07:10 PM We use the same points? That bites. :p But I do have a theory I'm going to try out in Madrid. :D I will take over the FMTT world, mwhahahahahaha! :p I actually emailed Allan at lunch regarding us holding press conferences and writing articles. :p I'm planning on getting involved for you. It sounds like fun. And hopefully, Allan will go along with me. :p Scotso 10-07-2002, 07:12 PM Pffff, if you could change points every round that would be so much work for me and most people wouldn't do it. :p Make sure he doesn't speak that proper perfect Australian english of his. Murkofan 10-07-2002, 07:14 PM I'll do my best. :p I'd give Angelo a Mexican accent, but I don't know how to write that. :p Oh well, I'll just give him a Texas accent. That's interesting enough. :p Oh, and I'm going to start a "Where does your player live?" thread like you started in FWTT. :D Hania 10-07-2002, 07:15 PM I have gotta go peeps see ya :wavey:  Hania 10-07-2002, 07:16 PM Hahahaha out of the 680's now I really have to go! Is it worth trying to get a tape of? Are there Lleykiish moments? Angele 10-07-2002, 07:19 PM :wavey: Bye Hannah  I haven't seen the entire RG final :o I was baby-sitting at the time so the kids kept changing the channel  I got to watch everything after 6-6 in the final set cuz I was almost in tears begging them to let me watch lol... but of course they turned it off the minute the last shot wsa hit :fiery: Scotso 10-07-2002, 07:20 PM Kim's RG final is *VERY* good. That was a great match. Too bad Kim lost it. Marly, that's great. Start lots of interesting threads like that. I want FMTT to be the best game on ATPworld. :D Murkofan 10-07-2002, 07:22 PM The RG final was an excellent match. It really only came down to a few points here and there, and it's a shame Kim lost. Having said that, I don't think it's worth what you would probably have to pay to obtain a copy. You can check www.tennistapes.com to see if they have it. FMTT will be the best game! :D I'm 100% into this. I'll recruit Mazza to be helpful too. Angele, BBB--don't be lazy, go make players. :p Angele 10-07-2002, 07:22 PM Kim plays the the third match tomorrow! Good luck Kimmie  :D :bounce: Angele 10-07-2002, 07:24 PM I'm not organized enough for those games :o Axel made me join a bunch of them but I kept forgetting to send in my points :o Scotso 10-07-2002, 07:25 PM Is it just me or is this board getting slower? Murkofan 10-07-2002, 07:25 PM Scott, what's up with FMTT during November and December? Is it on a break like the tours are? I'm sure they'd pay you nicely for your traitorhood. Playasport only updates at 1am PST (4am EST). You can't play an event the day after you sign up. I get so unlucky on that site. Only one training point a day and I always get horrid draws. Murkofan 10-07-2002, 07:48 PM Bah, real countries. :p Actually, I think there's at least one other Canadian player. I think my parents trust me but: 1) My friend's father owns a couple of houses in town and one of them happens to be un-occupied at the moment so that's where the party is :o 2) A bunch of people are sleeping over and I'm one of those people who was invited to stay the night... I'm not sure my parents would be crazy about me going to party and only coming home the next morning :o 3) I'm going to sound like a total nerd but here goes :o Whenever I go out, it's never to parties and I've never had alcohol before :o And there's going to be alcohol at this party and I could try and lie about that but that wouldn't work because a) I hate lying to my parents and b) my dad is a teacher at school and he finds out everything! So, how to I ask my parents if I can go? And for me, it's not as simple as just asking them because I've never asked to go to a party before. And if they ask me if there's gonna be alcohol, I have to say yes but if they ask if i'm going to drink, I haven't even decided myself if I wanna drink or not lol Any help would be greatly appreciated :D Angele 10-07-2002, 09:47 PM I just realized how long that post was :o Anyways, I think the Player's Party for Filderstadt is going on at the moment or has just ended because I found this picture on the wta site: http://www.sanexwta.com/assets/story_image/Cake100702.jpg With this caption: A special cake is served in the player restaurant on Monday night Peridotpixie 10-07-2002, 10:04 PM Ah, I was about to tell you that, Angele. Hopefully there'll be a Lleyki picture (hopes and wills the heavens) Well, here's the advice I'll give you: Give your parents reason to trust you. If they ask you if there'll be alcohol, tell the truth. And if you promise not to drink, don't. If you build a trusting relationship with your parents, life will be easier fo you in the future. Don't risk getting caught in a lie, especially if your dad is likely to be the one to catch you! And don't feel dorky...I'm older than you and I hardly EVER drink--I only have wine at weddings and such. No casual drinking at all. So I'm the dorky one. :) Scotso 10-07-2002, 10:49 PM I want cake! :D Jackie 10-07-2002, 10:49 PM A bit of advice: If you say you're not going to drink, don't drink at all. Not even a glass. If you start drinking, it's much harder to stop than to not drink at all...and drunk people have this way of always thinking that they're sober Scotso 10-07-2002, 10:58 PM Alcohol is nasty anyway. But no, Scott, alcohol is not nasty, just beer. :p Puss-in-Boots 10-07-2002, 11:54 PM Marly! :kiss::kiss::kiss::kiss::kiss::kiss: I am trying to email you, but I am getting error messages again!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: Puss-in-Boots 10-07-2002, 11:55 PM I think it's my uni's fault...
