Five years later and Qureshi is in the best form of his life, defeating Richard Gasquet in Nottingham, making the second the round of Wimbledon, and now beat Mardy Fish in the first round of Nottingham.

hopefully he will be able to reach the first ATP semifinal of his career. That would definetly take him to a career high ranking

Asiam lost...saved quite a few match points but couldn't hold serve.

qf is still very good results, but he had oppurtunity to go further in newport. the draw was quite weak imo.

He's through to the final of Nottingham in both singles and doubles. Bopanna was nice enough to retire from the singles and then help Asiam win the doubles. ;)

He faces Jones in the final.

Aisam lost to A. Jones 3-6 6-4 4-6.
Its a shame, he had a good shot for the title.

But he won the dubs title with Bopanna :)
Bopanna & Qureshi [IND/PAK, 3] beat Ghouse & Goodall [IND/GBR, 2] | 6-3 7-6 (5)

Oh well, I'm afraid that's the end of the grass season for this year. I'm sure he'll give the US Open qualifiers a good go but his game is much less effective on hard courts.

Hopefully he'll be able to get a WC for the tournament in Mumbai, maybe his friend Bopanna can pull a few strings for him. He's ranked higher than any of the Indian players.

hopefully aisam will be able to win a third consecutive challenger doubles title in segovia. maybe bopanna and he will be able to garner a wild card in some of the us open series events and even the us open.
