~~*Gonzo & Jimmy Cheering Thread*~~

This is the first cheering thread Jim has ever had :D but me and Josh were discussing how both our faves are playing together this week, and we think they could do well so I decided to set one up!

They have a great chance--Jim's big serve and great volleys, Fernando's forehand and Olympics experience, bet Jim will ask him all about that :) Nadal is good doubles, but I think Ferrero has little match experience and is not much of a doubles player anyway...

When Gonzo is with Massu, they both stay back... Since Jim is a serve/volleyer, Its probably going to be one up one back and same with with Nadal/Ferrero lol. Nadal is a pretty decent doubles player. If Gonzo and Jim does decent here, they should stay together but Massu will be jealous.. lol

Kristen (LEGEND) is going to phone Kat at 6.30am Aussie time on Sunday, so I'll let you know what Kat says--Ferrero is her fave player by FAR so it's really likely she'll watch. I am so happy :D

I think Jim asked Fernando to play, because FG's singles ranking would've got them in--Jim otherwise wasn't going to play this week :D

A Tuesday start is likely, depending on Fernando's singles. He plays Blake tomorrow (Monday) like 3rd on court.

Gonzo and Jim played Alternates Jeff Coetzee & Alberto Martin, after Nadal withdrew. They beat them 7-6(6), 7-5 and now play the winner of Etlis/Rodriguez (1) OR Jones/Thompson (WC). So Etlis/Rodriguez, probably on Thursday.
~*kat didn't stay for Jim's match :sad: but I've asked her to get some in their R2... fingers crossed!!

Etlis Rodriguez won, so Jim and Gonzo play them 4th on Stadium, around 3.30pm local time. GOOD LUCK!

Through to semis after beating Etlis/Rodriguez 75 76(4)!! Now play Aspelin/Perry in SF... tough match--Jim's w/l isn't great against them and I hope Gonzo isn't too tired.
Get early control guys and you can beat them.
