Ladies answer this: should men shave their armpits?

Oh, and men can answer this as well, of course!
I'm seriously wondering this. I think it looks disgusting when a girl doesn't shave het armpits, but should men do this as well? Somehow shaving doesn't seem very masculine.
So, what should we, men, do with the hair under our armpits? It's your call!

I'm the same as damaged.

A little hair is fine... but when it's hanging all over. Yuck.

Completely shaved armpits wouldn't be necessary, but at least cut and trimmed and not long. Too long hair there is just :o ... cough, cough.... same applies for pubic hair, a bit is okay, but at least trimmed and not too long!

Hairy chests would be okay for me and I actually like that. Also I don't mind beards (but no moustache).
But it's ridiculous if a man shaves his legs :o

A little grooming would be nice. Underarm hair revolts me. I don't see how NOT shaving is considered masculine

Mind you, this would not be a deciding factor in a relationship for me, but I would appreciate the courtesy.

I thought women in Europe never shave their armpits.
Or has that changed?

No way :S Though grooming doesn't go astray.

Read the Queer Eye book, and Kyan will advise you that you should put a little effort into maintaining body hair. This includes ALL body hair. Ears, Nose (gross!), and pubic hair. If you trim it, and keep things neat, it's much nicer to look at :yeah: lol!

Too much of anything is NEVER good... But as long as a man washes his armpits on a regular basis (like every day) and take care of their body. a little body hair under the arm is fine with me.
Women nevertheless should shave their armpits...

The absence of any smilies, indicating even the smallest hint of sarcasm, forces me to take you serious, and answer your question...

You've been watching to many American sitcoms.

I agree with Patricia... just because you're a guy, doesn't mean you should have hair all over the place ;) Especially since it takes women hours to look nice in that department, especially in summer.... the least they can do is return the favor :p

There was supposed to be a ;) or two in there somewhere........ :o I was only joking........ (plus, the options of the poll are a bit too.......extreme)

Now, seriously, men with too much hair should have the decency to shave or wax.
Personally, I like guys with little body hair (no hair on his chest, armpits, back, stomach). But that's just me......

A short summary of this thread so far.
Men don't have to shave their armpits, unless hair is excessive there!
If you're likely to run into Fonsie, you'd do better to start shaving straight away. :bolt:
And a lot of people like bananas.

I can live with that!

Electrolysis

I disagree. This only leave the offender able (and more likely) to reproduce and thus perpetuate the offending condition.

I don't think completely shaving it off is necessary, but keeping it trimmed and neat is.
Back hair, no.
Chest hair, none or just a teeny bit.
Facial hair, none or just a little.

I regularly do it in HS/College.
Got tired recently.

I tried it once and was sore for days.

I'm afraid yes. Couldn't even think of a situation in which my mom would get to see my armpits.

Quite surprised the poll is in favour of non-shaving.

The only thing a man should shave is his face. Unless you are some kind of evolutionary missing link, there is no need to shave anywhere else.

If not that stink is your problem.
I do not think many men(hetero) know that is an erogenous zone, most chicks are going nowhere near that unless at least trimmed...same for testes.:p

I shaved my armpits (and chest) completely in high school.

Terrible decision. It was incredibly itchy and very uncomfortable. So I let it grow all back out and it is much better.

As for the pelvic region, no need to shave it all off, but a little trim and manscaping goes a long way.

I don't really wear shirt inside the house.
Just boxers or undies.

Same when I play sports.

This thread is still going after over 6 years? Epic! :)

Anyway, I took the ladies advice and went no further than an occasional trim.
I actually ended up dating the poster SuperFurryAnimal. We've been together for more than 5 years now.
Good times. Long time ago, though.
