Wie ihr vielleicht schon bemerkt habt, hat Jean-Claude die Saison frühzeitig beendet und die letzten drei Turniere ausgelassen. Das hat einen guten Grund:

Durch den Coach von Rainer Schüttler (Dirk Hordorf) bekam Jay-C die Möglichkeit, eine Woche beim Mentalcoach Alberto Castellani zu trainieren.
Castellani hat unter anderem Spieler wie Hicham Arazi, George Bastl, Ivo Karlovic und Rainer Schüttler in die Top 100 gebracht.
"Wir haben täglich zirka vier Stunden im mentalen Bereich gearbeitet sowie 1-2 Stunden auf dem Platz versucht die Übungen umzusetzen. Ich bin überaus begeistert und habe enorm viel gelernt!!! Er hat mir Angeboten wieder einmal zu kommen, er sehe grosses Potential in mir! Eventuell sehen wir uns in Doha oder an den Australien Open" so J.C. per SMS.

In einer Woche beginnt wieder die härteste Zeit im Jahr, nämlich die Kondivorbereitung!! Doch bevor's losgeht, gönnt sich Jean-Claude eine Woche Skiurlaub im Pitzthal. Da kann er dann auch gleich die neuen Völkl-Carvingskis testen ;)

Australien Open

Leider werde ich auf's Australien Open verzichten. Da mein Ranking zu "knapp" ist, möchten wir das Risiko nicht eingehen um allenfalls nicht spielen zu können. Ich werde mich mit 2 Future in Deutschland einspielen!!

It says that Jean-Claude won't play the Australian Open (qualifying), cause his ranking might be too bad to enter the qualifying event. So he is not taking the risk and instead will be participating in two Futures in Germany.

JC just reached the final in the Budapest Challenger, where he lost to Razvan Sabau in three sets. If only he had won the 2nd set tie-break :sad:

Anyways, was a great week for him :rocker2: He beat Sorensen, Van Scheppingen, Levy and Tipsarevic :D

He'll now play Busan, South Korea :eek:

He lost to Danai Udomchoke :( The jet lag was too bad, I guess.

Jay-C is in the quarter finals of the Rimouski Challenger! He defeated Rik de Voest very easily in the first round, and then had no problems against Fred Hemmes :yeah:

In the quarter finals he will meet Gary Lugassy, so very winnable. Allez!

That was in Mons, I think.

Jay-C played his last tournament of the year in Mosrentgen, Russia, where he lost in the quarter finals to Kirillov in a tough match.

Now he is off to Spain to celebrate his holiday. Have fun :wavey:

Was fuer ein Pech!!! Bin 3. draussen. Der Quali Cut liegt bei ATP 315. Es war lange nicht mehr so stark besetzt und meine Spekulation ging bisschen hinten raus :-( Aber ich verbringe hier eine wunderbare Zeit. Das Turnier ist GENIAL, hab super Trainingsmoeglichkeiten und uebers Housing kann ich mich also auch nicht beklagen ;-))) Da wird sogar Federer neidisch!!

Yes, but I think he knows that last year, the cut-off was so low and the field was so poor. With a good draw, he would have had a chance to win a few matches.
