It is reported that Salem Open in Hong Kong will be moved to Beijing for some reasons next year. Is that a permanent move or for how many years? Does it mean Hong Kong will not have any tennis event from next year? And will Heineken Open in Shanghai continue next year? I need some info on those. Anyone? thanks!

I think it is terrible. Hong Kong will need that event. I want to know the reason. Is there politics involved?

i think it's becuz of low attendances due lack of interest and economic downturn

I am sorry to hear that. That move will somehow affect the Shanghai event, won't it? Shanghai used to be the sole event in Mainland.

But they say that they only sent a application, not yet confirmed by the ATP. I don't hope this event to be pulled out of Hong Kong. What do you say?
