Who will win the TMC final? The head2head series is tied at 7-7, but Federer has won all 5 of their matches this year.

Federer will win with ease. 3-0.

I have bet my months wages on this match.

My heart says Lleyton, and I know he'll give it every bit of fight he's got, but theres only so far a fighting spirit can get you against Roger

I think Roger will close out this year with an unfaltering domination of the top 10 players....but not without losing a set, or even 2....that would be cool

Federer in 3, but I predict this to be the closest of the matches they've had this year. For that to be, both have to play at their best - like today (ok, I'd be better if Roger doesn't lose concentration in the second set, like he has in the last two matches).

for hewitt, federer's game is just a poor matchup - hopefully he can just pull something out of the bag, but if he does somehow manufacture a win you will not see me on this forum for a month, i'll be hung over big time!!!!

Federer. 3.

I don't watch much men's tennis... but that US Open final was a snoozer. Lleyton has nothing to annoy Roger. The only way Roger loses is if he goes crazy with errors, which he can at times, but I doubt he does for 3 out of 5 sets.

If Federer's at his best, then this will be a blowout, but I'm not sure how he'll play tomorrow. Lets make this a repeat of last years final, Roger, ok. :)

I want Hewitt to win. But most likely Federer will win easily. Yawn.

Better title: Will Hewitt escape the year without being Bagelrized by Fed. In the beginning, it was funny. Now, it isn't. Hewitt is too good of a player :(

Leena

Maybe Roger is too good of a player for Lleyton. Plus, he's hot now.

Roger's too good. Lleyton doesn't take enough chances and doesn't have big weapons like a Safin. If Lleyt wants to win he needs:
a) to create winners earlier in the point before Roger rips the winner first.
b) hope Roger's game is off on Sunday...maybe he's tired from the tiebreaker.
c) to pressure Roger by being more aggressive so he can cut off Roger's angles early in the point.

Roger should take this one barring any blips or catastrophes. If Lleyton wins I will be shocked

The reason why Hewitt struggles so much with Federer, is because he struggles to hit winners against him. Federer gives him no pace, and unlike Roddick today, he rides his shots up high, with alot of topspin, to the Hewitt backhand to set up his winners, and also uses the slice, which gives Hewitt alot of problems, and is good for setting up his forehand. Hewitt needs pace to create his winners, and Federer simply wont give it to him.

Lleyton has to serve much better than he did today if he wants to beat Federer. If he can hold his serve, there is always a chance he can pull out a win, since he is such a great returner. But the odds are heavily in Roger's favor.

I would like Hewitt to win but I think there's nothing he can do against Roger. I consider Marat to be the one who can come closest to Roger but even he did not manage to get a set.
Hewitt's only chance is somehow pushing it to 5 sets. Serving very well, and being very agressive.

I see this final being having a similar score to last year Masters Final

Hopefully Lleyton can at least push Roger and take a set :)

Phew, I'm just watching a summary of the Roger-Marat match on Belgian television... First games of the first set... Roger's level was scary... This guy is still getting better. What a joy to be able to watch this player.
I'm afraid there is nothing Lleyton can do against Roger.

I am still a bit shaken by that traumatic tie-break yesterday to think 100% clearly but in a rare moment of lucidity I had figured Roger in 4- why? Lleyton is burning to get back at him and when he wants something bad he won't stop until he gets it or dies trying. Plus, I don't know how much that tb took out of Roger and wether he can come firing out straight away which is what he was able to do in their last matches. It might take him a little longer to settle into the rythm he likes.

That said, if it goes to a fifth I think Roger is in deep trouble.....

Rogi in 3 sets  ... Hopp Rogi :bigclap:

RonE

Just to add to what I have said- I think Roger will be relieved at least in the beginning to know that Hewitt won't bulldoze him off the court as Safin did in many of their rallies and so I am hoping he will get into his groove with more ease and be able to penetrate Hewitt's defenses.

the only time Marat was creating strings of points yesterday was in Serves, and in the power off the forehands. neither are lleyton's strong points (yeah, he can serve well --but we're talking about serious serves that rogi cannot consistently return).

I don't think it will be easy, because he'll scrap around and get stuff back but except Roger to come through in 3

I don't see this as being another New York. I still think Federer will win but Hewitt has a chance.

Hills bet like this:

Fed/Hew 3-0 2
Fed/Hew 3-1 3.75
Fed/Hew 3-2 6.50
Hew/Fed 3-0 15.00
Hew/Fed 3-1 10.00
Hew/Fed 3-2 8.00
