ehm....well...... Carlos Moya, The King of Mexico... :worship:

I think he let them know through a videomessage that he will be there in 2005 to defend his title. And that he loves it in Mexico..

Some stuff about Carlos history at that tournament, also Cañas will play in 2005 and they are trying to get Gaston Gaudio to play as well.

I tried! Not bad after 10 Spanish lessons! :haha: If I'm wrong somewhere, please feel free to correct me Spanish speaking fans at MTF ;)

Carlos Moyà's video message arrived direct from Houston greeting the Mexican fans saying he will meet them again when he defends his title of the Mexican Tennis Open. The charismatic Spaniard has for many years been the favourite of the Mexican fans and will look for his 3rd title of the big tennis event which is held in the Aztec territories.
Moyà won the Acapulco title in 2002 and 2003 and is undoubtedly the favourite to triumph again at the tournament that spends millions of dollars on the masculine and feminine events.
An interesting event is anticipated with the guaranteed presence of Moyà, who is currently participating in the Masters Cup in Houston, and will be the main attraction for the fans, apart from, of course, the beauties that surround Acapulco, one of the most important tourist destinations of the world.
Raul Zurutuza, the tournament director, also confirmed the participation of the Argentine Guillermo Cañas, who received a wildcard this year, when his ranking had dropped very low in 2003.
Now, the player who is the alternate in the Masters after the exit of Andre Agassi, will also get the attention and will show us his quality tennis and enthusiasm which characterises him.
The Roland Garros champion is also being sought after, the Argentina Gaston Gaudio, which will be confirmed in mid January

Coria is defending champion, actually Carles lost to him at Buenos Aires final this year :(
I suppose that Carles will have the same schedule than this season: Buenos Aires followed by Costa do Sauípe followed by Acapulco... then Indian Wells. (perhaps he could start the latinamerican claycourt season at Viña del Mar, the week before Buenos Aires, but I don't think so).

ciao :wavey:

I remember, to practice my French, I used to go on the Moya sites and read articles in French. I actually wrote about Carlos on a test in French.
