Good match. Andy beat Hewitt the last time they played at Queens, they have always had good matches against one another but, Hewitt likely will not beat Roddick if he does I don't like his chances against Federer or even Safin in the final...

I'd like Lleyton to win but it will be tough :)

Both these are probably praying Federer loses in the semis ;)

RODDICK :)

They each have their own assets which pretty much neutralize each other's strengths. You know Andy will be sending down the howitzers and try to blow Hewitt off the court and that Hewitt will try to get absolutely everything back and try to attack when he can find openings to pressure Andy. It is a question of who will be more persistent. They are both stubborn competitors but in this regard I give Hewitt the slight edge.

This should be a vey absorbing match.

Can't wait to see this one and I think it's a toss up. What I do know is that Andy will have to play a lot better than what he showed today against Coria. Too many missed break point opportunities and too sloppy. I'd be happy with a win from either though. :) But whoever wins, please make it a good match against Fed. ;)

You are all assuming Federer will make it through to the final. Whoever he plays in the semi will be tough- if it is Safin with his (allegedly) new-found temperament and his form, and with Lundgren by his side who knows Federer very well, it could be quite a tussle. If it is Henman- he is always a potential threat to Roger even on a slow hardcourt. Just look at their H2H. I for one am not taking anything for granted.

I am 100% backing Hewitt but i think Roddick will prevail if he keeps his very good round robin level.
As Rone said, Fed's semi should be very tough especially if its against Marat.

The 4 best players of the world in semis would be good with two great match-ups (if Marat is on) but all i want is a godlike Fed to show once more these three who the only master is...

I think Roddick is the favorite, but I sure hope Lleyton wins it and he definitely has his chances:D!

Andy has to play a LOT better than he played today to have a chance.

That said, he loves Houston and he loves playing for this crowd. So if he goes down, it won't be easy.

Roger can dish out the potato chips, but if Hewitt loses to Roddick, there's not a better Duck roaster than Federer.

Andy, please beat the "C'mon Boy", I really can't tolerate his on-court shrieking anymore. It's got to the stage where I switch the sound off the tv when he wins a big point

I think Roddick will win in a close one,I assume they are playing at night which will make his serve tougher to return.

If Federer beats Safin then I hope Roddick wins because we have had enough Federer-Hewitt matches this year.

This is gonna be a really emotional match. Andy's playing in front of his home crowd and will be blasting away some scorching serves so Lleyton better not blink. And even though Lleyton isn't admitting it, he would love the chance to reach #2 so he wouldn't have to meet Federer until the Aus Open final if the seeds hold through and Lleyton's playing for pride to re-establish himself and set himself up for the Australian summer.

Tennis: Hewitt to face Roddick in Masters Cup semi-finals
http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/afp_sports/view/118070/1/.html

"I've really stepped it up this week," Hewitt said. "I'm motivated at the moment. I play with a lot of emotion out there. There are times when you have a little bit of a downer but right at the moment I feel up for this event."...

"He has got a lot of firepower out there," Hewitt said of Roddick. "He has a massive serve and a huge forehand. He runs down a lot of balls for a big guy. He moves well. He tries to come to the net a little bit more.

"You've just got to try and make him play one extra ball and really make him move around as much as possible, get as many of his big shots back as possible.

"You have got to take your chances. Against the best players in the world, you are only going to get one or two."

Well he has to win the entire tournament to be #2, not just beat Andy tomorrow.

but I agree it will be an emotional match, they're certainly two of the most, if not THE TWO MOST, intense guys on tour. Andy loves playing well in Houston and Hewitt seems to be very confident right now. so it'll be a good one I'm sure.

Maybe but watching Federer against Hewitt in the RR was very predictable, its got to the stage where Hewitt struggles to win points.. Federer was almost on cruise control and in the final it is likely to be even worse.
