Masters Cup Moya-Hewitt saga.

Hey guys!

Would you clear something up for me please?

If Hewitt beats Gaudio, fair and square he's in the semis BUT if Gaudio beats Hewitt then surely Hewitt goes through anyway?

Isn't the rule that if players are tied on wins/losses, it goes down to (in this order): -

1. The winner of their head-to-head match
2. Percentage of sets won
3. Percentage of games won.

Therefore surely hewitt is through anyway?

If not, why not?

Thanks. :)

You could have a look at the threads that answer this clearly.

Gaudio would end up with same record as Moya and Hewitt that is why who won between Moya and Hewitt is irrelevant.

Thanks! I have had a look at the threads but there is constant arguing as to who is right and I didn't know who to go along with!
