Lineup From Hell

I think it was george? who created a thread about making your own tournament (with the best players). Rosie made a comment about a lineup from hell, so it got me thinking, what would be your lineup from hell?

8 Players which you would most hate to see in a tournament like the masters cup?

1. Rusedski - when did he last go to the hairdressers?
2. Agassi - ditto question!
3. Ginepri - if the MC moves to clay! :haha:
4. Roddick - poultry shouldn't be on the menu
5. Dent - hell for everyone to watch his contortions.....and stomach
6. Sanguinetti - could easily pass for the Over 45s Wimbledon doubles
7. Spadea - "would the real Spady Shady please leave the court, please leave the court, please leave the court!"
How about another of his hits - "Guess who's back, back again? Spady's back, tell a friend." (psssst Andy!)
8. Coria - "sorry - children under the age of 18 shouldn't be competing with the men."

I could just imagine Dent at the Hell Masters Cup saying, "Right my little children...you cannot escape me! Ah ha ha ha! Ah ha ha ha" :fiery:

Of course we have to have some alternates: -

9. Stepanek - will be hell for Marat and all his fans seeing Radek wearing a bandana.
10. Karlovic - to be honest, he's every countrys' (and therefore tournaments') nightmare when they only provide Coria-size cots.

 Ooooh - you're asking for trouble with a question like that - I can see us being called Eurotrash and arrogant Europeans any minute now :haha: And to be honest - I don't find ALL American players boring - I like James Blake, - I used to like Todd Martin, and on the female side I like Lindsay Davenport a lot. Guess in my case I just don't like very hard hitters/big servers (hence Roddick) and I'm not a fan of serve and volleyers either, hence Fish and Dent! And as for Spadea - I would loathe him wherever he came from   Perhaps it's because people like the Bryan twins (and Roddick) have that kind of "over-the-top" personality that some people find fun and extrovert, but a lot of Brits just think is brash and abrasive - just a culture thing perhaps , although having said that one of my closest female friends is from the States and I love her dearly. So don't know the answer to that one really. Why do you think?

What's wrong with Justin, Rebecca?
Well, he's sort of annoying on court. That I could actually get over. Coria's kind of annoying on court too, and he's one of my favourites. However, his fate on Rebecca's Shit List was sealed when he bitched at length about Nadal after he failed to get into Wimbledon this year. If Nadal and Blake had pulled out on time, Gimelstob (who ended up losing in the first round of qualies) would have gotten in. So Gimelstob, being a complete pansy, uses his press conference to bash and 18 year old kid for being a "very selfish individual". See, Nadal had decided to wait until an appointment on the Thursday before the tournament to see if the doctors thought it would be okay for him to play. He *really* wanted to play. You see, if Gimelstob was, you know, as good as Nadal, he too would have the opportunity to test his chances like that. However, he's not. So he acted like a bitter pansy. When asked about Blake he had nothing to say, of course :)

Ronaldo is a natural striker, strong and fast. not as talented as the other two. That's why Roddick came to my mind when I tried to relate him with a tennis player.

Ronaldinho: talented, versatile, the best one.
Kaká: finesse and power combined

I think of all the TMC's the 1997 line-up is the worst in recent years. So my worst line up would be slightly similair:

Alex Corretja
Yevgeny Kafelnikov
Michael Chang
Greg Rusedski
Jonas Bjorkman
Rainer Schuettler
Tommy Haas
Sergi Bruguera

Alt: Thomas Johansson

RonE: What's so bad about Rainer and ToJo?

Nothing- they are both good solid players, I don't have anything against them. But if you take a tournament like TMC where the best of the best are supposed to feature then with them in the line-up it seems a little ordinary.

If the line-up would have included outstanding and exciting shot makers like Federer, Agassi and Korda for example then with them the line-up wouldn't have been so bad.

For the same token I could have swapped one of them with a player like Vince Spadea and it would still be a bad line-up.

Wow, a drama queen on the boards! What Juanqui Lover did was totally appropriate. She just asked why you mentioned JCF and was very polite and friendly about it too. If you don't want to elucidate it, that is fine, but don't be such an ass about it.

Juanqui Lover
another mickey mouse superhero  please mind your own business and don't buy other's people fights  got it ass??

I was more thinking of laquered wood indoors. I've heard they played on that surface in the 60's and that it was ridiculously fast.

Yes, I know a few old timers who played on that, and they said it was ridiculous. Paraguay used that in the 80s when they were in the World Group, that plus the crowd, they used to win their home ties.

Hehe. Imagine Sweden playing in an old school gym with that surface for their next DC tie at home. :D

Which Rochus? And why?
Olivier (should have mentioned which one before) and unlike Jorge i will answer your question. As i said i was only filling in people other than Hewitt and Henman, but i watched one of rochus's matches and i didn't really like him, thats all, no particular reason, i just disliked him. :)
