Tim Henman v Andy Roddick - Thoughts......and later, updates.

Who do you think will win?

One thing's for certain, it is very tough to call! :)

PinkFeatherBoa
11-16-2004, 10:52 PM
:wavey: Eager for it to begin Jez? Getting ready to see duck plucked. :)

I think Andy has the edge, as it's played on hard and it's in Houston, so Andy has the crowd majority and also he plays best on hard courts. However Tim handles Andy's game quite well, when he gets on to his second serve and chips and charges. Therefore if Tim plays to his strengths, I believe he has a chance, but it also depends what Tim shows up {hopefully not the :retard: indoor season one} as we know how inconsistant his serve can be. I think it may be too close to call, I say 51/49 in favour of Andy.
C'mon Tim, prove me wrong! :bounce:

Corey Feldman
11-16-2004, 11:55 PM
Hope tim can start well, but altho tim is 3-1 in head to head v andy, it could easily be 4-0 roddick..
tim not playing great since French open, andy seems in his comfort zone playing hardcourts/u.s.a
can see it being 6-3 6-3 for andy..
but good luck anyways tim :yeah:

If the real Henman shows up I think he can win. I keep thinking about Roddick's match against Mirnyi a couple of weeks ago and if Henman can employ the same tactics that the beast did I think Roddick willl be in for a frustrating day.

How long are we looking at until the match begins do you think? 7:30 Houston time?

You are asking for me?

Well, at this momment is 7:13 Houston time, at 10 minutes ago my TV show the surface been "dryed", so, maybe we can see the match at 7:40 or even 8, but that is a surface taht if wet those white lists is very slippery and players don't wanna slip, I think.

Well, we can all PRAY for this DAMN raing stop!!!

Westside Club doesn't have enough money for a roof, and that's why Mattress McIngvale needs TMC in Houston to raise more funds.

In a rich country such as the US, there must be many great places for Masters Cup. It's ridiculous that TMC is held in such a terrible place with a terrible director.

Did you know that whenever rainstorms leave the east coast of Africa, tropical systems develop? And those tropical systems can spawn tropical depressions, storms and/or hurricanes?

I think it's an interesting fact!

No, it's supposed to be the Roddick vs. Henman match. We may get it live if it keeps raining. Only if it's suspended or doesn't start by 8 pm PST will we see Marat & Guille and I don't think that match was even an hour. I may not miss the Amazing Race premiere after all.

And to answer that question above, storm surges go along with hurricanes, particularly the stronger ones. We just recently made it through H. Ivan a couple of months ago. The beaches took a beating from the surge.

You cant blame Henman - he did absolutely nothing wrong. Roddick in those last couple of games of the 1st set hit some of the best BH's of his life and unfortunately there was nothing Tim could do about it.

i still remember Semis at wimbledon v sampras 1 year when henman had a point to make it a third set tie break (was at 1 set all)
bangs one down the T about 130mph and sampy almost dived and stuck the racquet out without looking.... crunched the return winner flying past henman, broke and won match 6-3 4-6 7-5 6-3...

Correct, that match was off the show and actually the match point Ca˝as won was great. They rallied and Henman charged the net and Ca˝as 3 metres behind the baseline, hits a running forehand down the line and I was celebrating with my friend next to me and all the English fans were stunned.

I'm as shocked as you Debstah. I saw Andy's match against Mirnyi a couple of weeks ago and his BH was brutal. Henman aimed a lot of his shots at Roddick's BH, but he kept coming up with winners especially on the big points.
