99.99 of players refuse.

why ask them when they win? its just wasting their time for a pointless signature.

I live in the rich suburbs which the tournament caters to so I didn't have to save up at all. :nerner:

Especially not right after a loss as demoralizing as this one.

But have a blast and sing happy tennis songs.

My sentiments exactly! I never have and never will either! But then everyone's different - each to their own I guess.

No comment here........uuhhhhhhhhh. Actually Ive improved. once, and only once i asked a player, a junior for an autograph. i didnt know she had just lost, and she said no. afterward i felt stupid, cause i should have known that was why she looked so unhappy. These days i only ask for an auto or a photo if other people are doing it, and they obviously dont mind.

A photo is fine, but there's nothing exciting in an autograph. Atleast to me :p

I've seen lots of players sign after a loss. But I agree that its much better to ask when they win.
Theres nothing bad about getting autographs either, its just a nice thing to remember who you met, and u can also get a chance to say whatever else u want to say to them when they are signing.

alright, now i feel stupid, im giving away my whole collection. How much does it cost to send 500 tons of autographs overseas?

I guess that puts Andy in a unique category as he normally signs autographs before leaving the court after a loss. ;)

And good for you to put in a lot of hard work to earn money to go to the tournament!!

You can try after doubles. They will usually sign without problems. And some lower-ranked players will sign too after they lost to a Top 10 player, but I wouldn't suggest trying.

There is a subtle diff between signing autographs
and asking them to sign one for you.

Do players actually go and offer their signiatures after a loss anyways? This is a serious question as I have never seen it.
