no Monaco ?

the field last year was great, nearly the same as Acapulco, but this year they lost Monaco, Nishikori, Verdasco, Simon, Chardy.

True. Remember that Chardy played quallies (and lost in 1st round). I had the chance to see Simon and Verdasco who were really down of their level. Nishikori too which was fantastic to have the chance to see him but I would like to see him oneday playing on hard courts.
Quite surprised not to see Monaco as you well said. Possibly he didn't agree with the money offered to play there due to his present ranking. That happened in the past with other Argentine players. For me Monaco is overhyped and is waiting for an increased on the amount of money offered to play there. This is a personal opinion but I hope Jaite offers a good amount of money to bring another player and not to Monaco!

I think the list is pretty much like in the past. And to be honest I rather have on the list players like Kuznetsov, Bedene and Bellucci (if he decides to play it) . I will choose certain night sessions during the week and of course Saturday and Sunday sessions as every year. I think that Robredo will get a WC, possibly Monaco will get that 2nd one and the 3rd one will finish in the hand of another Argentine (Pella is going to get to the main draw if a player decides to withdraw, so I think that Alund is the player with better chances to get that final WC)

I had the chance to see all the players of that list except Kuznetsov and Bedene as well as many of the alternate list so I will see how things develop and if that is worth to go the quallies on Saturday and Sunday)

If Enrico Becuzzi manages to get to the qually draw I'm going to take a picture with him :worship:

Hoping for Joao to get in without needing to qualify!

It seems like tournaments directors prefers to get foreign players rather than argentineans.

yes I understand but now having lost twice in the first round, he probably needs more game than rest ;)

will he ask for a wild-card ?

Rufin is out, Joao Sousa is in

I hope Christian Garin gets a WC. I know he's not an Argentine, but his performance in Chile last week surely warrants one.

Vamos Horacio, Pella, Berlocq
Robredo is just 1 out, if he gets entre directo, Alund, Delbonis and Schwartzman can get wc.

3rd WC goes to Agustin Velotti.

Such a wasted WC for Velotti. He is playing horribly lately and he would had not won a match even on the Q draw.
The same concerns to Schwartzman. He doesn't have any talent at all. This is strange to find that Andreozzi or Arguello didn't receive it who look like better projects than Schwartzman or Velotti. Even Andreozzi is not in the qualy draw.
On the other hand that would had been a clever political desicion to give a WC in the qualy draw to Garin instead of Galarza.

Anything is mentioned about Alund but I reckon he might be receiving a SE for the MD as he is in the SF of Sao Paulo.

The qualy draw is really good. Cut off at 348!. I will be attending today 1R matches and I will be watching Reister vs Pashanski, Gabashvili-Gil, Starace-Londero(I'm particularly interested in Londero and Diez-Lajovic. Although I will be keeping an eye on Dustin Brown, Campozano, Clezar and Veic's matches too.

Schwartzmann won already a ATP qualy last week in Chile and did win a Challenger in Bs As last year. He and Velotti are better ranked than Arguello, it´s logical. Andreozzi is injured.

Hola!
Thanks for the information regarding Andreozzi as I didn't know he was injured. I know what you mean about Schwartzman's victory in Buenos Aires CH and his performance in ATP of Vina del Mar Q too.
Although I believe he have no talents at all. He has a big fighting spirit but with his height and resources I don't think he has any potential in the pro tour. Inspite of that CH victory I think the guy has zero potential (of course I can be provedto be wrong). On the other hand Arguello has all the tecnical resources to be a potential top 50 player as soon as he can be emotionally quite more stable.
Velotti seemed to make the jump some years ago and has a lot of resources to be a quite good clay court player (could be on hard courts too) but he remains stucked on where I found him two years ago. Zero progresses on tactical and physical issues which should be the strenght of the kind of game he propose. Grab him a look at ATP Buenos Aires and you find that.
