Will Hewitt be the year end No.1?Proud To Be White 09-30-2002, 04:37 PM Huh? uh? Scotso 09-30-2002, 04:41 PM You betcha! Murkofan 09-30-2002, 04:44 PM Uhm, duh. ;) Chloe le Bopper 09-30-2002, 04:45 PM He will for the first bit, but hopefully someone will step up and replace him ;) TheBoiledEgg 09-30-2002, 05:47 PM I hope NOT :D AdriRob 09-30-2002, 05:53 PM YES HE WILL vaiva 09-30-2002, 05:57 PM Most probably, but I'd rather see somebody else there :D Lily 09-30-2002, 05:57 PM Are you kidding? nueva_armada 09-30-2002, 05:58 PM I hope not.. ILR 09-30-2002, 06:03 PM without doubt  Nimi 09-30-2002, 06:04 PM He will... Thats crap though AmErIcAn 09-30-2002, 06:06 PM Unfortunately... REDACE 09-30-2002, 06:08 PM of course! dots 09-30-2002, 07:27 PM hope not!:D Lleyki 09-30-2002, 07:42 PM who else ??? ;) Ma. Estefania 09-30-2002, 09:46 PM NO! He'll not and I hope that no! I'm sick of him! I hope the other guys as Roddick, Safin, Federer, Ferrero, and many others can rob to him the #1 position. I think that for me it was enough to have him as #1 these last months, so come on, it will be terrible to have him as #1 another year. Knockers LaBroad 09-30-2002, 10:17 PM YES! He will and I hope so! ;) Chrisie 10-01-2002, 02:38 AM Look, they are asking 2003, not this year. Definitely not him again, it'll be disatrous. Oh, come on Marat, Andy, Roger, Juan-Carlos, Tommy or whatever which 'new balls', don't let him be the great dictator of ATP. Or I'd rather watch women's tennis, at least the sisters are winning all the time. Lucas Arg 10-01-2002, 03:34 AM Yes. J. Corwin 10-01-2002, 04:58 AM Not if I'm given the choice...but probably he will be...sigh Angele 10-01-2002, 10:18 AM Ranking experts: What would Lleyton have to do to finish the year as number one and what would others have to do to catch him? Thanks  Jackie 10-01-2002, 12:05 PM There are only 3 tournaments left that count, so basically, it would be REALLY difficult for anyone other than Agassi to overtake Hewitt...and even then it would take Agassi working his arse off and Hewitt playing like crap (which is unlikely) Experimentee 10-01-2002, 02:34 PM The heading says "Will Hewitt be the year end #1?" and the poll says "Will Hewitt be #1 in 2003?" The first one is a bit of a no-brainer  I think no to the second one, he wont defend Wimbledon and he's playing less tournaments Chloe le Bopper 10-01-2002, 06:45 PM I'm confident someone will take it over next year at some point (Safin, Haas - would someone give these guys a mental game for christmas?) Daniel 10-01-2002, 06:47 PM yes he will Nacho 10-01-2002, 07:35 PM He will, no doubt about that... But I'm not saying I like the idea! Lisbeth 10-02-2002, 12:23 AM I think he's going to be hard to beat in the near future unless someone has a major winning streak. He may not defend Wimbledon but don't forget he's defending basically nothing at Aus Open (which is one he really wants) and in fact virtually no points from the first few months of the year. He's just very consistent, especially compared to the extremely inconsistent opposition. C'mon Lleyton, bring the Australian Open trophy home! Chloe le Bopper 10-02-2002, 12:28 AM He may not defend Wimbledon but don't forget he's defending basically nothing at Aus Open (which is one he really wants) and in fact virtually no points from the first few months of the year. He isn't the only one ;) Scotso 10-02-2002, 12:32 AM Hopefully Lleyton and Juanqui will be #1 and 2 for a long time :D Win the Aussie, Lleyt! :D Chloe le Bopper 10-02-2002, 12:40 AM pft @ scott Traitor  Scotso 10-02-2002, 12:44 AM At least I support a WINNER! Chloe le Bopper 10-02-2002, 12:46 AM Gee Scott, that is just super :o Nimi 10-02-2002, 05:26 PM If only Marat & Tommy will get a grip... Potato is finished :D I wanna see Escude beat him in Wimby again & this time wins the entire damn thing :D luvbadboys 10-02-2002, 05:50 PM :wavey: 2002 Lleyton 2003 Marat (Lleyton will be #2. It will be impossible for him to be #1 if he cuts his schedule by half.) C'mon_Lley 10-02-2002, 07:45 PM  Duh! Of course HE WILL! :p :D Jackie 10-05-2002, 12:39 PM Originally posted by luvbadboys :wavey: 2002 Lleyton 2003 Marat (Lleyton will be #2. He could win all 4 slams:p Hania 10-05-2002, 02:01 PM luvbadboys, you touched a nerve  karenrac 10-05-2002, 03:01 PM Yes (Even if he reduces his schedule ) luvbadboys 10-06-2002, 03:00 AM Sorry didn't mean to but let's face it that is precisely what happend to the Williams sisters when they were playing a half schedule(10-13 tournaments) and Martina and Capriati were on a full schedule (20-24 tornaments) The Williams girls kept winning the major tournaments but could not improve their rankings. It's only when they decided to play more that they moved to #1. I like Lleyton he's my #2 fave bad boy behind Marat but I just don't see him at #1 If he plays 12-18 tournaments and other are playing 25-30. Jackie 10-06-2002, 08:20 AM He doesn't really care about being #1 anyway. He will be happy if he wins a few slams and the Davis Cup Andy 10-06-2002, 07:06 PM Oh dear, what a needless question. Do you mean will he win the Championships? Everyone knows he will be no. 1. cheliste 10-07-2002, 03:08 AM This year, unfortunately, yes.  Of course, I'd rather see Marat finish the year numero uno but as he couldn't win any tourney this year...     But next year will be different ( I am crossing my fingers so tight!):D I am so sick of Lleyton! And I would love to see some guys of NewBallsPlease brigade win. C'mon Marat, Roger, Tommy!:bounce: warfreakbix 10-07-2002, 12:25 PM This year a no-brainer, duh. He'll be #1 at the end of the year period, exclamation point, etc. Unless of course he suffers brain fart at the end of the season and Agassi catches up on him (please, please, please) :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: Next year, will somebody else from the new ball please stand up and challenge his reign, please! :D :D :D Maria Giulia 09-09-2003, 11:18 AM I don't think so  GO JC!! :) J. Corwin 09-09-2003, 10:16 PM Well definitely not this year. ;) Cris 09-09-2003, 10:29 PM I don't think so... Roddick or JC will end this year No. 1. Scotso 09-11-2003, 11:34 PM Uh people, this poll was started a year ago. J. Corwin 09-11-2003, 11:41 PM We're not voting (at least I'm not). We're just saying if he's gonna end the year #1 or not (yes for this year). | |
