Sorry but I can't answer this question. Though I'm a fan of one player in the TMC (see my signature for those who don't know me!), I'm also a fan of the game in general. So I can't wish to a player to lose a tournament. Even if there are some I don't appreciate much... ;)

From most to least: Roddick, Hewitt, Coria, Moya and Safin. Mind you, Kournikova winning would also wreck some of the credibility of a formerly prestigious YEC, especially if she won an all-Russian battle in the final.

She used to win the russian battle more then 10 years ago. ;)

Imagine a retired Marat sitting at home telling his children that he won x titles in his career, but before achieving that used to lose endless matches to a woman :o

Maybe they bad rep you because you continue to bait them like a child. Sort of like Tangerine Dream does. Hell, I'm tempted to bad rep you half the time when you talk about Coria for that very reason. Think about it.

Anyways:

I voted for everybody. I would like to see Adam Chadaj win it.

Mind you, Kournikova winning would also wreck some of the credibility of a formerly prestigious YEC, especially if she won an all-Russian battle in the final.

Provided she accepts the wildcard I hear she's been offered, that isn't so unlikely. Safin famously broke down in tears once when he lost a set to her in practice back in the old days.

As for who I don't want to win, no one really. I'd rather that every match was of a high standard, with the tournament ending on some form (preferably stretching the whole five sets) of high drama and excitement.

Roddick, Safin, Gaudio and Henman. If any of the others win, it's fine by me. Of course I'd rather see Federer winning again, but I don't know if his injury will let him play well enough. My other favorites are also injured (Moyá and Coria), so I'm just hoping Federer will be fine, otherwise I'll see myself praying for either Hewitt or even Safin to win, though I wouldn't like to see that.

I don't mind any of the players winning because I don't dislike any of them, though my least faves are Gaudio and Moya, and I'd rather someone other than Federer won as he won enough this year.

I like Gaudio, but IMO he's the least likely to win and if he did win, what a horrible way to end tennis for 2004. Tennis would be the laughed at sport of the world. On the other hand i don't want Coria to win even more. If he won the results would be the same as a Gaudio win.

:haha:

The best moments in sport are when underdogs win. Events like Gaudio winning the FO and Greece winning Euro enhance the sport rather then take away from it.

If you want the very best to win everything then surely you want Federer to win every tournament he enters as there is a big gap between him and the rest at the moment, wouldn't want him losing to peons like Roddick would we?

Spot on. The thing I live about people they whine about the standards and say they are not high enough, then when someome calls along and dominates for one year, then the sport is in trouble, but the ones who whine about domination would they do it, if it was their favourite player.

Impeccable logic Naldo should want Federer to win everything and not a lose a match as he is clearly the best player at the moment.

I like it how everyone put the word Federer in my mouth. I said the TOP 8, meaning Fed, Roddick, Hewitt, Safin, and so on. This TMC is played on hardcourts. If Gaudio ends up winning this, yes those players WILL look like peons losing to someone like Gaudio who's had pretty much all his success on clay.

Looking at Federer's year and his record against the top 10 this year, the gap between him and the top 8 is just about as big as the gap between the rest of the top 8 and Gaudio.

What a marvellous world Naldo inhabits, where every ATP player other than Roddick is boring (he's said as much in the past, I recall) and results must always follow the traditional surface orthodoxy rather than, shock horror, be surprising for once. The idea that the only way Gaudio can beat the other players in the field is for them all to be "peons" is absurd. The last time I checked, he has as many Slam titles as Roddick. A GS winner = a deserving TMC winner. Hell, a TMC entrant = a deserving TMC winner.

ooooooooooo - scared! :haha:

Thought you would be! Or you could always threaten her with a video of the match where Tim beat Coria in Monte Carlo coming back from a set and a break behind. I was there (Court 2 - 2002!), and it was really funny :p

Expect your BadRep from the one I now have on IGNORE anytime soon

Got it! This time there is a reason: "U suck and Henman's ugly"

:haha: Actually, coria4everfan does make her first good point in her life...Henman is somewhat ugly - those teeth need sorting out!

Good observation Coria4everfan - I have 1% optimism for your return to normality!

I'd rather show her the first set and a half of the French Open semi-final when Henman OWNED Coria but then felt sorry for him because he looked like he was going to cry and throw his rattle, bottle and toy car out of his pram. Thus he let him win 13 straight games in a row to make him a little happier again before making him upset with another comeback and then ultimately letting him win, knowing in the depths of his heart that he had done a very nice thing - made little Guille happy. Little was he to know that Guille would throw everything away 2 days later - now Tim won't have an ounce of pity next time they play - he should have beaten Cry-baby and taken the French Open title as he deserved!

ill refresh your memory :) in the semifinal he absolutely trounced nalbandian  bageling him in the third set when david was hardly able to hit the ball over the net  then in the final he was clearly losing to mago guille coria :worship: and won only after guille got severe cramps :wavey:

OMG!!!! You know the word "trounced"....Wow, guess there's no accounting for intelligence for some people, huh?

Oh - how witty, mature and insightful :) Suprised school let her out so early - but I guess kindergartens are only open til lunch-time - she hasn't progressed to "big school" yet!!!!

OK - I was at both matches and they were both quite fun. Only thing is - I doubt her attention span is long enough to watch an entire tennis match - screaming her pre-pubescent "GOOOOO MAGOOOOO" is about her limit!

And hey guess what - I have mine now too! Don't know how this has happened but even though I have her on IGNORE I can still read it.......so this her intelligent comment for me:-

why is david so thin? LOL!! guille 3-0 david h2h nanannana

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear - no further comment necessary I think!
