Anyway- considering Roger's group, if he can play his way into form and shake the rust off and make it to the semis firing on all cylinders then it will be very difficult for anyone to stop him. However that is a big "if" (yay, I also used quotation marks :yippee: ) as no one except Roger really knows how his conditioning is and how his movement might be affected.

If Roger will not do it, Marat may be a good bet if he displays the mental fortitude he has in the last couple of weeks in the TMS indoor events and if he gets over his dislike for the tournament not being played indoors.

I wouldn't be surprised if Roddick had a good run in this event too, considering the surface suits his game and the surroundings will be very supportive of him.

Also Lleyton will pick up the pieces if any of the above mentioned won't play up to par and he won't give in any ground- his opponents will have to take it from him.

So the above four are my picks in that order (top to bottom).

If Roger and Marat each at 100%, I say Roger

(and yes, in keeping with the discussion on the thread, if Roger at 50% and Coria at 110%, I say Roger :mad: )

Yes - it's definately Canas - good for him - he deserves his place.

Of course it's completely unpredictable considering all the injuries and long hard season but I have a feeling that Andy will win :)

federer wins it

Federer has been at Houston for a week practising so you can tell he definetly wants it.

just hope he isn;t too rusty given he has played much competitive tennis since his minor injury - someone like safin who has played consistent tennis over the last month would pose as federer's greatest "threat" though can;t see even the ruski toppling federer

My thoughts:

Federer: I think that he came wothout rhythm, and in a tounament like this rhythm is very important. We already see what's happen whne you came withou rhythm (Roddick in Masters of Paris)

Safin: Safin came in a wonderfull phase. We's confident and when this happen his "forehand" work very well doing of him a difficult opponent even for Roger. I just hope that the pooor raquets don't suffer to much :rolleyes:

Lleyton: Lleyton also is fine. He did a good match against Safin in Masters of Paris and he is my third favorite for win MC. A good game and a good "fighter spirit" make him a dificultt opponent. I just hope he keeps wiht his "fighter spirit".

Roddick: After lose in masters of Paris I hope that Andy have recovered the rhythm. And, we never know who will work Roddick's server.
