Sandra 11-09-2004, 07:29 PM I know someone posted something about Schmitt Neely 11-09-2004, 07:53 PM Schmitt is an endless story, once he was so dominating and in great form, and the last year all together he was pretty useless and sucked. Not sure if he can turn it around in this season... The atmosphere can't be gotten from TV! It's really impressive how steep such a hill is! I was in the stadium at Liberec and tried to climb it up! Almost impossible! And me and my friend walked up onto the jump in Brotterode, we were right there where the jumpers put on their ski. That's a view from up there! A bit :scared: but :yeah: *sighs* Memories ... Sandra 11-11-2004, 05:16 PM Did u get any pics???? Ingebrigtsen, Tommy Neely 01-03-2005, 02:59 PM Ahonen is really AOWOWSOME!!! Yeah, like Schmitt or not, but you really have to give credit to him for his stamina and staying power that he stayed around the entire last season (where he totally sucked and was often 50 places away from where he has been) and the he didn't quit this season. He said he loves the sport just too much and that results aren't everything for him. That's really an honourable thinking, it must be tough if you can't even qualify for main events so many times and formerly you have been dominating them all winning virtually everything that is possible. Iza 01-11-2005, 06:13 PM hey ppl :wavey: I'm not a massive fan of ski-jumping but Sandra gave me the URL of Liegl's site and saw the pix :inlove: But from what I watched last year, Ahonen is very good. Sandra 01-11-2005, 06:15 PM Finally someone likes sweet Florian :hearts: Corinna 01-11-2005, 07:27 PM Finally someone likes sweet Florian :hearts: i didn't say i wouldn't like him :o Sandra 01-11-2005, 07:35 PM well u didnt say u like him, either.Have u seen the pics in the previous pages? Their overalls have a special cut and its legs has some kind of clip which drags overall from the body. And this makes a bigger carrying surface of the overall. http://www.skoky.cz/fotos/a501_Thurnbichler.jpg For example Morgi and Widhoelzl had it in quali for Sunday Willingen. It´s just a question if somebody else and when had it.....coz when they open the clip the overall cames to ruling format and nobody notices.... Corinna 01-13-2005, 07:12 PM that's a bad story :( did they really cheat?! Sandra 01-13-2005, 07:20 PM i am sure Morgi didnt do it.... nenadeSergio 01-14-2005, 09:18 AM Sandra I´m sorry to say that but FIS said that Morgi and Widhoelzl did it in quali and they were disqualified - no big deal for them as they are pre-qualified anyway. But I simply can´t understand why they did it in quali...it´s not too fair. :( Corinna 01-14-2005, 02:07 PM i can't understand that to...btw i don't think that they had to do that...they are good without it Sandra 01-16-2005, 11:52 AM I remember that in one of the firsts contest of the year this happen to Andres but i have seen thomas jumping then.It was maybe an other time or Mori did nothing wrong. I changed my sig for him!!! Corinna 01-17-2005, 07:01 PM cool, well done, sandra  looks great.. ..i think i should change it a bit as well... but i disagree a bit in my opinion janne should win and morgi can become second..okay he can win one time  Sandra 01-17-2005, 07:08 PM Dont be so bad.Janne won enough...Let Morgi win please!!!!!He deserves..I dont want him to finnish like Liegl...a rising star taht didnt confirme... Though you´re right one never knows what might happen - you mention Liegl and I must mention Vellu. Sometimes it doesn´t work. Anyway, I hope Janne will be back this coming weekend - and hope he´ll be successful coz being after illness, it´s always difficult to get back. And mainly everybody waits for his fail. Corinna 01-18-2005, 06:37 PM Sandra don´t worry, Morgi will defo win - as all of us say he´s young and he has all in front of him. Corinna 01-20-2005, 04:26 PM yep you are right...i was so said he wasn't in form this year...hope he gets even better and wins some competitions...or is at least second  behind janne Sandra 01-20-2005, 05:57 PM Ok...this is kinda off topic but I have changed my mind...I am noe happy that Thomas didnt win in Bad Mitendorf cause I will be happier when he will beat even Janne. And now before the next copmetition I wanna tell everyone how I started wathching ski-jumping cause I happened in Bad Mitendorf 2003 when I first saw Liegl he jumped 208 m in the first leg and then 106 and he finnished first :woohoo:I want him back as he was!!! Corinna 01-20-2005, 06:39 PM Ok...this is kinda off topic but I have changed my mind...I am noe happy that Thomas didnt win in Bad Mitendorf cause I will be happier when he will beat even Janne. Corinna 01-20-2005, 07:39 PM Not really but..I like Morgi to much to like someone else and if he would've won Bad Miterdorf ppl would've said he cant beat Janne..and i am sure he can.Fly Morgi!!!! i am sure he will...but not soon i hope :o i think we could argue about that topic...but shouldn't.. ..we have got different points of view unfortunately but if you want morgi to win i wish he will win soon...for you  perhaps i wont be glad because janne lost but that doesn't really matter...because i will be glad for you :D Sandra 01-20-2005, 07:52 PM Thank you!!!You are such a nice girl!!!!Thaks for saying that me and Morgi would make a nice couple... nenadeSergio 01-21-2005, 01:21 PM You know Janne can´t be first forever....though I wouldn´t mind at all. In fact being his fan since the time he was 15...that makes special feeling for him agree???? :) ;) Anyway, I don´t like the weather in Neustadt at all. The wind scares me! I only hope RTL won´t "make" the competition a must under wind condition like in Willingen. Corinna 01-21-2005, 02:44 PM wow, nenadeSergio...you are a fan of him sine he was 15? cool :yeah: i hope so too ...it should be a fair and safe copetition and sandra, your welcome it is only the truth  Sandra 01-23-2005, 05:07 PM I saw the comp yesterday and I was so happy after the first leg,but when i saw Morgi jumping so badly in the second leg I bursted in tears!!!!!!!!I felt so sorry for him.I never cried aty a ski-jumping competition...but now I was devastaded!!!!:bigcry: Corinna 01-23-2005, 07:32 PM nah don't cry  everybody may have a bad jump..that is just normal Sandra 01-23-2005, 07:36 PM Yeah but exactly then....why???He could've won easily.....poor MOrgi poor mr :bigcry: Corinna 01-23-2005, 07:46 PM his first one seems to have been very good...he was best wasn't he?! Sandra 01-24-2005, 10:44 AM Just for a very little time....he couldve finnished first...i am so sorry for him i just dont want him to waste his carer... Corinna 01-24-2005, 11:48 AM he doesn't...look there is a positive aspect: he is good..he was first and makes good jumps...he just have to make more of them..two strong jumps..but at least he is able to make ONE good jump nenadeSergio 01-24-2005, 02:38 PM originally posted by Corinna: wow, nenadeSergio...you are a fan of him sine he was 15? cool Oh yeah, seems unbelievable. I still remember the first time I saw him on TV. Such a cute small kid, lol. Well, I was kid myself then. :haha: x-x-x-x Anyway about Morgi - seemed it also had to do with nerves. You know being first by only 0.1 point after first round and seeing Janne and Janda doing very good jumps - it can make EVERYBODY feeling nervous. I must say that it´s been a while since I could be proud of a Czech ski jumper. I had to wait 11 years for a Czech victory so Sandra, don´t be too sad. It´s defo sure that Morgi will win sooner and you won´t have to wait that long!!!! :) Corinna 01-24-2005, 03:05 PM Oh yeah, seems unbelievable. I still remember the first time I saw him on TV. I really get mad when they constantly say he doesn´t smile. Coz it´s not true, he smiles when there´s a reason. While smiling constantly to the camera, right?! Corinna 01-26-2005, 02:52 PM absolutely and btw i like it if he doesn't smile all the time so his smile is something special and even more beautiful for me  i love that :o nenadeSergio 01-28-2005, 01:13 PM Exactly!!!! And I love his sentence: We came here to jump not to smile Anyway, I´ll be back on Monday so really hope we´ll have reason to have smile on our faces. It´ll be tough in Zakopane. I was there last year and Polish fans are so unfair, they keep booing and whistleing against every jumper who could endanger their Malysz. It´s kinda sad..... Corinna 01-28-2005, 01:25 PM yeah, indeed, one time the threw snow balls on sven hannawald because at that time he was supposed to win :fiery: it's very unfair!! i hope they won't be too mean to janne Corinna 01-30-2005, 11:36 AM zakopane is not good for janne so far  i think he is still weak because of his injury for morgi it wasn't good either :bigcry: i heard janne was thinking morgi would be the jumper and the number one of the following years so cute..janne wished martin schmitt so sweet a happy birthday..in english :inlove: nenadeSergio 01-31-2005, 04:03 PM Yeah I know about the wishing, lol Anyway, I´m not sad about Janne´s results, to be honest I´m proud of him - coz still having a fever and to be 4th and 2nd - wow that´s amazing, don´t you think!?!? :worship: to Janne!!!!! nenadeSergio 01-31-2005, 04:04 PM yeah, indeed, one time the threw snow balls on sven hannawald because at that time he was supposed to win :fiery: it's very unfair!! Yeah I know, it was Harrachov 2002 and I was there seeing it with my eyes. It was really bad - it was not only snow balls but also carbage. really awfull! But Sven did the best he could - won! And where was Malysz - far far away. Corinna 01-31-2005, 04:32 PM Yeah I know, it was Harrachov 2002 and I was there seeing it with my eyes. It was really bad - it was not only snow balls but also carbage. really awfull! But Sven did the best he could - won! And where was Malysz - far far away. yep he showed that he stood over those things ...it was good he won then  Corinna 01-31-2005, 04:34 PM Yeah I know about the wishing, lol Anyway, I´m not sad about Janne´s results, to be honest I´m proud of him - coz still having a fever and to be 4th and 2nd - wow that´s amazing, don´t you think!?!? :worship: to Janne!!!!! yeah good result for being ill..at saturday i thought i would be still weak from his illness but then i heard he was still heaving a fever and under these conditions especially the 2nd place is fantastic and i am very proud of him :worship: nenadeSergio 02-02-2005, 07:13 AM I guess it´s good idea not to go to Sapporo, take a rest and train for Oberstdorf. To be honest I dunno why there´s World Cup in Japan - usually there are very few fans and jumpers prefer not to go there coz it´s too far. Maybe FIS should at least put it at the beginning of the season, not in the middle. This year practically nobody will be there - Janne, Morgi, Janda, Matti, German team etc. Let´s hope Risto will win!!!! ;) He´d deserve that for improving sooo much. NiciSunflower 02-02-2005, 12:02 PM Let´s hope Risto will win!!!! ;) He´d deserve that for improving sooo much. Go Risto! I was very glad that he was able to make it into the WC-team again. I guess the new rules concerning BMI fit him quite well. :D Corinna 02-02-2005, 03:27 PM I guess it´s good idea not to go to Sapporo, take a rest and train for Oberstdorf. BTW..I didnt see the competition yesterday on which place did Morgi come?? Corinna 02-07-2005, 11:36 AM he became 3rd..roar was 1st and risto 2nd.. ..i think the competitions this weekend haven't been very fair.... However, 1st Ljoeckelsoey (292,1), 2nd Jussilainen (262,8) and 3rd Morgenstern (243,1). Nici I don´t have any neighbour like him but I don´t like him either. He gets soooo much on my nerves!!!! Sooooooooooooooooo glad Risto was second!!!!!! :worship: :worship: :worship: But to be honest the conditions - terrible. I guess it´s not too clever to do World Cup in Japan - too far, nobody is going and did you see how many people was there - practically nobody. Did you notice Jussi or Bystoel - they were really pissed off. No wonder. nenadeSergio 02-07-2005, 03:17 PM It wasnt bad luck they stole it from Thomas!!!!!!!!!!!I mean it!They canceled the second leg cause the jap couldt possibly beat Morgi again...and from the first half only 3 jumpers were allowed to jump twice...including two japs...they made the competition for that guy (i forgot his name). BTW..I didnt see the competition yesterday on which place did Morgi come?? According to me, they should have canceled the whole competition. But hey, it´s all about money. FIS doesn´t care about jumpers´ health at all..... nenadeSergio 02-07-2005, 03:22 PM me again! for Finnish team fans: 1. Just read that Janne won´t be in Pragelato, still is weak from the flu and want to be 100% ready for World Championship. 2. Ville Kantee decided to finish his career - all the probs with his back etc. 3. Nomination for Oberstdorf: Janne, Risto, Matti, Tami and probably Jussi NiciSunflower 02-07-2005, 04:26 PM I guess it´s not too clever to do World Cup in Japan - too far, nobody is going and did you see how many people was there - practically nobody. Yup, it's crap to go to Asia, but I guess it's because of tradition and next year they hold the world championships in Sapporo, so  But what pisses me off most is that RTL gets more and more tournaments for coverage, I just can't stand their style of presenting. Too much of talking and commercial breaks. And the guy at the mic doesn't know anything abot skijumping at all. It's really freaking me out :banghead: I just hope they didn't get the rights for the championships. Hangdog 02-07-2005, 05:21 PM "Sappmoro Roar-san" #1, yeah, that's just great! :D Ljøkelsøy :yeah: perfect! Good luck for the future!.. So that's a good day today =) http://gfx.dagbladet.no/pub/artikkel/4/42/422/422690/roarr.jpg that Norwegian guy I don't like, 'coz he looks like my neighbour from upstairs who always annoys me with playing f*** loud music at 4 am.... well, he won. lol I'm sorry for that... But were your crazy neighbour Roar he wouldn't annoy you! ... perhaps ;) NiciSunflower 02-07-2005, 05:26 PM lol I'm sorry for that... But he's listening to Techno all the time, and I just hate that, I can't help it. Corinna 02-07-2005, 06:53 PM awww again a weekend without janne.. i hope he is fit for oberstdorf... ..i won't go there  do you go nici? nenadeSergio 02-08-2005, 01:59 PM Yup, it's crap to go to Asia, but I guess it's because of tradition and next year they hold the world championships in Sapporo, so  But what pisses me off most is that RTL gets more and more tournaments for coverage, I just can't stand their style of presenting. Yeah Sapporo is the host of 2007 World Championship so that means they´ll defo get a term next year...strange that Titisee-Neustadt won´t. :( At least, if Sapporo must be in, they should put it at the beginning or at the end of the tour, not two weeks before World Championship. The term is really stupid. I´m not happy with all those coverage by RTL either - well I don´t mind the presentation (well the commercial breaks are killing, you´re soooo right!!!) but the fact that on my cable I have no RTL. So that means I must cope with the Eurosport late coverage which is ..... I hate not to see ski jumping live!!! Sometimes I go to my friend who has RTL, but it´s not at the same place as I live so it´s compicated. NiciSunflower 02-08-2005, 02:28 PM awww again a weekend without janne.. i hope he is fit for oberstdorf... ..i won't go there  do you go nici? Nope, couldn't get a room for me and my boyfriend in or near Oberstdorf and we didn't want to stay somewhere too far away. But perhaps I can go for just a day, coz Oberstdorf isn't that far away from Freiburg, 2 hours by car I suppose. We'll see. :) NiciSunflower 02-08-2005, 02:34 PM At least, if Sapporo must be in, they should put it at the beginning or at the end of the tour, not two weeks before World Championship. Unbelievable prizes... the cheapest ones 80 € each  - and you can't watch the video-wall from there. The next category would be 109 € each. So, I guess, if we go, we won't buy any tickets and try to watch the whole thing from elsewhere... Suppose I should get some binoculars :awww: nenadeSergio 02-10-2005, 07:07 AM Damn it´s really expensive!!!!!! The most expensive tickets are in Germany for every ski jumping competition - am I right? Nici if you go, you should take huge binoculars, some space ones. Finnish team for Pragelato: Risto, Hautamaeki brothers, Tami, Kimmo and Janne Happonen NiciSunflower 02-10-2005, 09:38 AM The tickets would be cheaper, if it wasn't for the weekend... Tickets for the other events are way cheaper. I'm actually not willing to pay 100 bucks for just 2 hours of competition. I don't think that we have an existing price-performance ratio... For the 2003 summer grand-prix in Hinterzarten we payed about 15€ each, and we got a sunburn for free as a bonus  nenadeSergio 02-11-2005, 11:33 AM I'm actually not willing to pay 100 bucks for just 2 hours of competition. Do you remember that thermometer on Freiburger strasse? I have a pic taken at 7PM and it was +35 on it. :ras: I wonder who will win today in Pragelato. I heard that most ski jumpers complaned the hill is bad, unmodern, simply awfull. I agree, all Italian hills are like that. OG in 2006 will be a bit strange, i´d say. Late last night we came back from Oberstdorf. It was such a crazy day. We arrived there at 9am, and, as we had plenty of time, we decided to go snowboarding first and afterwards get some tickets for the competition. We'd made up our mind about the prices. Snow was great btw. ... at least until I sprained my ankle... ouch... So up to the hospital, nothing's broken, how lucky. I could leave the hospital, thank God, but unfortunately couldn't stand on my foot, because it hurt so bad. Therefore, no chance of watching the competition live in the stadium, cause the prices for seats are really way to high. :bigcry: Instead, we watched the whole thing in a bar, they had a video-wall, it was fun, we met some Norwegian cross-country skiing fans. Hell, those blockheads drank a lot... The competition was more of a joke, I thought. The wind conditions were just too unpredictable, but I was happy 'cause Roar didn't gain a medal, and that was all I was asking for, you know the reasons. Oh, I am so mean, today. Anyway, I was glad for Rok, what a nice surprise for him and especially his coach Matjas Zupan. You probably know the background. And I'm happy for Janne to win a medal once again. :D In the evening we met some cross-country skiers as well. I talked to Lars Berger, he's such a funny guy and his German is pretty well. His mom teaches German he told me, that might be one reason. Well, in the end the day didn't take the planned course but nevertheless I had a lot of fun and if you get the chance to talk to Lars Berger, please do, I almost killed myself laughing. :haha: | |
