Hey if it's about champions let it be Davy :D

i see davydenko is out of ALT, does it mean he withdrew or got WC?

If you get a WC you don't withdraw from ALT because if you enter directly the WC can be given to someone else. It means that Davydenko won't play imo.

Llodra former semifinalist here asked for one and said he was near to get it. Monfils is again injured but if he would play and if he would need one (a lot of if) he would get one.

Roger won´t play here and same for Nadal. Fish and Monfils are questionable too.

I read that he's out for the rest of the year (abdominal muscles)

Then neither Nalby nor Davydenko should be among wild-cards

Nieminen won't play, confirmed in a Finnish interview.

"After that (Basel) I will practise for IPP Open (Helsinki Challenger)."

Fed will play ?

he said that he will decide it after Basel : my guess is that it depends on his Basel result, if he goes far in Basel he will not play in Paris, I think, for my misfortune as I have tickets there. If ever he goes out early in Basel he could play in Paris.

Nieminen pulled out as well. Little surprising for me, I know he wants to prepare for Helsinki, but there is plenty of time for it even with playing Paris.

Maybe he needs rest, though.

do you have any source ? I read nothing about Tsonga being in doubt in France hence why it's tough for me to know if your post is serious or not.

Tsonga and Tipsa in doubt.
So you fell into the trap to take their faked withdrawals in Valencia seriously. I am rather convinced both will show up in Bercy. Tsonga has a lot to prove there and Tipsarevic is not guaranteed the London spot yet, though he has a huge advantage over his potential rivals.

Goffin and Dimitrov could still be special exempts - Dodig has entered Eckental and I don't know if Paire and Mathieu may be concerned as they got a wild-card.

Special exemption to masters due to good result in 500? I think it at least has to be the same tournament rank or better.

A qualified event for special exempt to a ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament is the singles event of another ATP World Tour Masters 1000 or ATP World Tour 500 tournament.

So, Klizan squeezed in. He won´t play Cilic in R1, so hopefully he´ll be able to somehow pull out at least one last win to finish this succesful season... Andujar-Alba would be a dream pairing for him :-)

Goffin lost, so if Grigor beats Mathieu he will get the SE spot in Paris. My only concern is how they will make the draw at 6:30 PM local time today and Grigor's match will start around 6-6:30. How would they know if he gets or doesn't that SE spot? So he can get screwed just because they decided to make the draw of Friday?

Mahqz
10-26-2012, 02:03 PM
I guess there will be an empty spot in the draw. Or something like SE/ALT as it doesn't matter for the draw if it's Dimitrov, Ramos or somebody else.

They say that the last Wild Card is for Ramos, but it must be a mistake...

Paire is the other WC. Ramos got in because Haas withdrew.

the special exempt was cleared and Berlocq is in.

Smucav as Amirbachar asked in the rankings thread why didn't Mathieu get the SE ? he could have had 10 points if losing in first round, as a WC he will get zero point.

Didn't he ask for it ?
Or did his previous wild-card situation prevent it ?

10-26-2012, 11:48 PM
Or did his previous wild-card situation prevent it ?Wasn't he still playing his match at the time of the main draw? If so, he wouldn't want to decline the wild card to take a chance on earning the SE spot. I think he would only do that if the was the first alternate. If he lost his match, he wouldn't be in the draw at all (as a wild card, SE, or alternate).
