That military salute he does after victory is probably the dumbest shit Ive ever seen on a tennis court.

Well done Misha! Finally playing to your potential!:wavey: :)

From official site: "Mighty Russian sends Henman packing"

Why do you care? His Dad was a Colonel in the Russian Army. Probably has something to do with that. He might have done the solute for his dad every time he won in the childhood, or does it in respect to him, now (His father died). So..... I don't find it stupid.

well done misha, now poor sick timmy can blame his loss on illness and can go home to lucy so she can make him some tonic so he can get his feeble strength back up for houston.

The pathetic one is no more at all these days :worship:
I was in the attendance for his first two rounds and he was awesome, some friends of mine who previously didn't believe in his skills are now convinced Misha can go very high in the rankings next year if he maintains his focus.

:rolls:

Has Chris Bailey climbed out of Henmans backside yet ??

1st thing he said was "he wasn't looking too good, maybe he wasnt well"

Petchey put him in his place, he looked ok till 5-5, then once Youzhny broke, he grew in confidence and took him apart"

thats how i saw it too, and so did a few others.

has the Farmer made an excuse up yet ????

He's on such a roll right now that I wish the season wouldn't end just yet. Hopefully he can take this momentum into 2005. He seemed to do just that early in 2003 after such a brilliant finish to 2002... until the choke at Oz when the wheels came off. But it's definitely nice to see him reaching quarterfinals and better on a consistent basis as he has done pretty much since the Olympics, with a few early losses in there as well.

A top class dissection of Tiger Tim and it's good to see Youzhny show some of his abilities and I wonder if the unique backhand will be imitated by kids in Russia.

I agree, hopefully he won't have a Marat-style OAF-attack, he's got great potential :D

If you look at Henman's year after wimbledon, apart from the run at the us open, he has had a very average half a season, could be Henman and Gaudio as the masters cup wipping boys!

If you look at Henman's year after wimbledon, apart from the run at the us open, he has had a very average half a season, could be Henman and Gaudio as the masters cup wipping boys!

and the US Open run was mainly achieved by guts, determination and a little luck, rather than particularly good play.

Though with Coria, Moya and Federer all having Houston as their first tournament back from injury and Roddick also lacking match practice, I doubt Tim will be the only player who isn't at his best.
