I can name a few...

Agassi
Enqvist
Spadea
Schuettler
Costa
Bjorkman
Arthurs
Roddick

Do to my extreme denial...El Aynauoi is banned from coming up in this discussion.

Are you bored Liz? Just wondering what made you come up with this thread.

Roddick was a funny choice but I need someone to cheer against, so he can stay.

Bjorkman?

I think he's just having some bad moments, he did pretty well last year. And is still one hell of a doubles player, considering he won Wimbledon.

Tompa :bigcry:

I agree with Enqvist
Bjorkman and Arthurs in singles

Corretja and Mantilla should retire IMO as well :o

Liz Phair and LiZpHaIr should retire. Liz Phair because her music royally sucks now. And LiZpHaIr because she is a total moron.

I agree with Enqvist, Spadea, Costa, Bjorkman and Arthurs, but I think Agassi is right ti carry on. He's still fit enough to end the year in the top 8 while mostly only playing in major tourneys. As for Roddick, well ... ;)

hmmmm isn't Henman as old, if not older than, many of those guys?

Henman is the same age as Enqvist and Spadea, and Bjorkman and Arthurs are older.

Although I like them, Costa and Enqvist's total lack of form is really annoying and perhaps they should take a six-month sabbatical out or something. I like Corretja also, but he really should retire now -his lack of motivation is nauseating.

I wish I could retire but I'm not that old, therefore I haven't made anywhere near enough money to retire on..

And Liz's music does suck now doesn't it? What happened to Exile in Guyville?

enqvist can't ever retire!!! remember, he does still have the ability to defeat highly ranked players (safin) he's too good-looking to retire!! maybe he'll be back on track after this break. i was gonna write something else, but i forgot. my brain just isn't working. maybe it should retire too!

anna kournikova... she doesn't take it very seriously, and was never a very good player, and i dont think that's going to change either... she should just stick to modeling and be happy.

i dont think it has much to do with age. if agassi can still play with the top players of the world, i think he should play for the next 10 years.

that goes the same for any player.

Agassi is still constantly in contention for the top 10 & major titles. He hasn't exactly been bumped down to the qualifying draws yet.

Players who I think will never have very much success anymore are:
Corretja
Costa
Rusedski
Bjorkman- in singles.... He still can kick ass in dubs
Arthurs-..same as Bjorkman
Sanguinetti- how old is this guy? I really don't have a clue about how long he's played.
El Aynaoui- sorry... I like him too, but injuries may have already ended his career:(

GUGA

Fee
11-05-2004, 01:58 AM
Guga just had another surgery and it may have fixed the problems he was having, so let's wait and see how it goes for him before we write him off completely.

Anyway, I think it's entirely up to each individual player to make that decision because it's so important and so personal. It's up to them to decide when they have had it with the travel (as Arazi apparently has), or they don't love the game anymore, or whatever. Enquvist may not get spectacular results anymore, but if he still feels its worth the time and expense to travel regardless of his results, more power to him. Anybody who is still in the Top 100, playing predominately tour level events, is still among the best in the world.

I think non of them should retire as long as they have fun playing tennis!
Well, Tompa doesn´t have a great time at the moment, but I am sure he will be back in 2005!
