I would like to know if David is an alternative for TMC, will he accept this spot?
Agassi won't accept an alternative spot for sure. And I feel that finally Agassi will get the spot in main draw. :tennis:

David pulled out of PAris, and chances are gone, i dont know about being an alternate, first Agassi has to decline his (if he gest one).

Well its not certain if Andre accepts his spot, there are some tricky players who have injuries and are still not certain if they are able to play. SO maybe this is a reason why Andre will say: yes I accept it, in a hope he still can make it to the maindraw. And well there is also the money and for him that its Houston, US.

But well if Andre says no, then David is the alternative, and well David talked a lot about try to reach Houston. So guess he would say yes, so that he also has a change of making it to the maindraw and well if not cheering for his country man... But well then he has to be 100%, then the injury he has now has to be healed.

but guess we just have to wait and see what happens.

David on being an alternate:
"No puedo pensar en eso ahora. Si se diera, bienvenido, pero no creo que los que consiguieron un lugar vayan a perdérselo. Seguro que después estarán todos"
"I can't think about that now. If I had the chance, it would be nice, but I don't think that ones that got their places would want to miss it. I'm sure that at the end, everyone will be there"

he is right, they do consider houston TMC as an high honor for the tennis players. That's why Tim still fight for Paris with the terrible blood disorder. and i think Coria withdraw Paris, also for the safe to Houston. Unless more than one of those eight suddenly have collapsed body before TMC, otherwise no chance for David to get the revenge of Mac.

but as we always consider TMC as the final of the whole tennis season, even david goes there, will he continue the final curse again? :retard:

There is an interesting note on GM saying that Agassi withdrew frim Paris because he had been tipped off my Gil Reyes (close to both him and Coria), that Coria would not play in Houston. This would mean Agassi would be in the main draw and David would be alternate. I have heard nothing to verify that during my travels but I'm not disputing that there may be some truth in it - if I hear anything definate I will let you know.

Although Coria doesn't withdraw, Agassi won't accept an alternative spot anyway. My main concern is that David will be fit to go to Houston. And I feel that Moya will probably pull out. Moya want to plat in the Davis Cup final so bad, he won't take any risk to his shoulder.

Imagine the fit tangerinus would throw, if David got in as an alternate! That is a good enough reason for me, so I hope he can get in, but its highly unlikely. I definetly thought Agassi would get in though, as I didnt think Coria would play.

I don't think that Coria will play. As Moya and Federer are in doubt, as well, we could see David go.

Well, I dont want to see Moya or Federer withdraw, so lets hope Coria withdraws.

Unfortunately I don't see that happening. Coria will go if it damn well kills him  He has already split with his coach over this - he is stubborn - he won't listen to professional or medical advice - he will go - I am sure.

The only thing that Mac can do is maybe throw in a lead tennis ball just for Coria. Other than that, Mac is taking his laxatives in preparation for shitting the lumberyard when only one American will be represented among the top 8.

I'm waiting for some withdrawals just like you all to see Nalbi :hearts: at the Masters Cup ! But I wish he totally recovers first and foremost to be fit for the 2005 season  !! I'm missing him so much already :crying2: !! January seems too far !
:wavey: Does anyone know WHERE HE IS resting and getting some medical care at the moment ? Argentina or still in Europe, Spain may be ?

Last rumour I heard was that he was still in Europe, at least until this weekend. As far as the TMC is concerned, there is an article in today's Clarins that says he won't be fit enough to play TMC or even go as an alternate should the chance arise.

Basically this says that David's coach says they have taken medical advice and will sacrifice the TMC to make sure he is 100% fit for 2005. Wise decision I think
