It was merely informative, didn't mean to sound agressive or anything

I wonder if he'll play here...

No worries ;) I also wonder whether he'll play here. News is that he'll play Winston-Salem, and he would only play that if he has to miss Cincy.

Baker's WC should be taken off him.

Yes, and replace him with one of the many in form Americans outside the top 50...maybe DY? Levine? Steve Johnson's done so well with his WC's this year...

Who's getting the last WC?

Haas or Chardy will get the SE spot.

If it's Haas, one more withdrawal means Donald Young is the 1 alternate

:haha: it's amazing that Young can still get into these tournaments directly. I think everyone wants him in the MD just so he can break the consecutive loss record.

You know what's sad/lucky about that. He will GAIN rankings from keeping his losing streak going just because he got in the draw. 84 to 77 in the live rankings. If the 330 points from US Open/Bangkok go down he will drop from main draw alternate consideration if he can't replace those points

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/olympics/2012/writers/jon_wertheim/08/08/london-olympics-mailbag/index.htmlCan you explain to me how Donald Young still gets entries into tournaments? -- Aaron R, Bloomington, Ill.
• Sadly, a year after his breakthrough U.S. Open, Young is currently challenging the record for most consecutive losses. Once the points from last summer and fall come off his ranking -- that's what is enabling him to enter main draws -- he'll be relegated to qualies and smaller events again. Sad story. Say what you will about his parents, his chilly relationship with the USTA, his mental lapses on-court. How do you not root for him to win one match?

Unusual Accident Sidelines Tsonga From Cincinnati
Cincinnati, U.S.A.
by ATP Staff
10.08.2012

World No. 6 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has withdrawn from next week’s Western & Southern Open after lacerating his knee in an unusual accident while walking in Toronto this week. According to his manager, Tsonga required eight stitches in his right knee after walking into a fire hydrant on the street and doctors have said that he needs 10 days to recover from the injury.

The statement said: “Jo walked into a fire hydrant (sticking out of a building) while walking in the streets, which caused the injury, but his participation at the US Open is not in doubt”.
