Apart from this strange Youzhny's case, I think some of these players might not know that they could qualify to the Olympic Games, considering all of the ones who chose (Fish, Young notably) or could not go to the Olympics.

I think of Ebden, Kavcic, maybe even Matosevic.

Then maybe in the end they might go to the Olympics. Wait and see.

A 32-draw this year?what for more? Almost all the top players will be at this time in London.

I think maybe youzhny signed up when he was struggling and qualification was questionable, but it's still odd. It would have taken a big slump to fail to make it
also, I think Young may have unexpectedly made Olympic team so long as he was open for DC, so he may be out.

Not really a bad list TBH, considering its lined up against Olympics, i hope they can some big wild cards like the spaniards that didn't make the cut for olympics. Maybe Feli Lopez and Florian Mayer.

Flo won't play here as he wanna rest. Because of this rest he didn't sign up to OG.

I hope Paul Henri Mathieu gets in. I don't think he signed up for Qualifying and is the first ALT. for main draw. He deserves a WC more than Berankis although I understand Richard is a young player trying to come back from injury. PHM's form is pretty good getting to the SF last week in Gstaad.

if Berankis goes a run here in LA I could see him pulling out at DC. In fact, he plays tomorrow, if he wins, he'll have to pull out I think.

Why would he pull out of a wildcard??

Well seeing how Friday is main draw for Washington and QF in LA is Friday wouldn't it mean that Berankis would have to pull out of Washington if he wins tomorrow?

It's the draw ceremony, the first match of MD will be on Monday or Tuesday.

I hope Paul Henri Mathieu gets in.Mathieu was on site practicing today with Serra so he must be fairly confident of getting in.

An ATP 500 during Olympic Games, what a joke... At least Dolgo is here! Mahut, Dolgo and Haas need to make semi finals here

If he does, that will be stupid.

They cleared a WC instead of giving to Russell, Levine or a college player?
What a slap in the face if those guys don't get in direct.
