Really, really am amazed at how incredible of a facility they have in Halle.

Know its nothing new but a nice arena and a roof that closes almost instantly.

Well done to the folks in Halle, I believe that they actually have a better center court than RG which is saying a lot of an ATP250

It closes in 88 seconds. Ver impressive indeed.

I think the main reason for it is the personal wealth of the Webers.

Halle should be at least Masters 500 . The best decision would be removing masters 1000 status from Shanghai and giving it to Halle, or one Masters 1000 tournament from America. They are currently an average nation in tennis terms and have so many big tournaments

They do need to work on the grass though. It doesn't seem to be as resilient as Queen's.

The Stadion is a multi purpose facility, Queens is a pure tennis club, it would be a minor miracle if Halles grass is as good as Queens.

Definitely gets beat down quicker than in Wimby and at Queens in fewer matches but maybe its by design?

Just a thought but Wimby plays its SF and F matches on a more beat down grass so they let their grass get beatdown quicker?

This.

Being American I do appreciate Cincy, IW and Miami.

We know IW isn't going anywhere with its incredible new owner.

Cincy does lack a little in flare but lets be realistic, it too isn't being let go anytime soon.

Shangai is definitely an obvious candidate. What a disgrace of a tourney that has become.

Shanghai is a joke, watching highlights of the final last year, the only highlight being Muzzah winning, the crowd is awful, the surface is embarrassing and the date a clown idea. Give grass a masters, or get rid of the pointless Paris Masters, what use is it when it is not carpet.

Get rid of Shanghai, MC, or Miami I think.
And give it to Halle. Queens is nice two but I Halle is more modern
at least make both 500s

Shame they have to rely on fake grass.

When you watch the live feeds of Halle CC, it looks like an indoor tournament. It doesn't get enough natural light because of the roof design, the court is quite ugly and the grass is sub-standard.

Agreed. In the USA alone you have a grand slam and three masters along with a host of other 500,250, challengers ect.

It is a shame that Halle winner gets same amount of points like winner in Belgrade, Zagreb, Umag etc. And half-points than tournies like Acapulco, Memphis ...

You can't expect the tournament to be awarding more points in the first week after a Slam.

It's a joke how little time between RG and SW19 but a half a year for AO and USO

Queens is way better, regarding grass quality.

I've always been annoyed by this. The grass season gets the shaft. I would love for it to get another 2 weeks and a masters series tournament.

I think Queens should be a Masters and Halle a 500, just based on the respect each have earned Queens still has more than Halle. I think there should be a 4 week gap between Wimble and French, It should be Davis Cup after the French. Then 500 events on Grass, Then Masters on Grass, then a week of 500 in Grass, then Wimbledon.

Queens can never be Masters due to seat capacity, Halle on the other hand. How it can still be a 250 is a mystery.

For the same reason ATP downgraded Hamburg in favor of Tiriac. Clearly Germany got the shaft.

Kinda hard to have a stadium, thus a roof, and get that quality of court.

iirc Halle grows its grass outside and shifts it to centre court via forklift.

Grass is so bad that they could not play two weeks. And the shadows cast by the roof beams make TV viewing almost impossible when the sun shines.

i do at least agree with you that there should be more time in between the french and wimbledon.
