Who will lose before at Wimbledon: Nadal or Murray?

Both aren't that good on grass, and their recent performances are worthy of a player out of Top 100.
Who will lose before between these two Top players?

The good - they'll be in the same side of the draw. So Haas will have a shot at a GS final.

Yeah Nadal's a grass court mug all right - hasn't lost before the finals at Wimbledon since 2005 - clearly rubbish. :stupid:

Same for Murray - any idiot can make multiple Wimbledon SFs these days. All about Nole really - shame Nole 2.0 wasn't around a few years ago - no way would Roger have racked up all those Wimbys. Time to bow down in front of the true grass GOAT!

Is this an over reaction to both players losing in warm up events that they probaly don't care about? The Wimbledon grass also suits them much more than queens or Halle.

What Nadal and Djokovic are fighting for:

What the others are fighting for: what's left.

the word "before" should probably be "first"

Weird options too, you have they will both lose first round, but no other both lose same round options:confused:

I'll go for Murray, I would say Nadal, but this is fake grass

???
Their recent performances? Wasn't reaching the final last year good enough for the top 100? You call a twice winner and 5 time finalist of Wimby (sum up a Queens win just for fun) "not so good on grass"? Simply because he lost his second match on grass in a tournament he only enters to warm up, after a full year without stepping on the surface?

What utter crap!

Murray owns everybody, who owns Mahut, who owns Murray.

Nadal not that good on grass? are you being serious right now? this thread should be destroyed because it is extremely silly, Nadal plays fantastically on any grass and is well known to tank in the tournament prior to Wimbledon most every season.

what idiot would claim that guy who has 5 Wimbledon finals is bad on grass? embarassing :o

This shows your bias right there.

No one makes 5 Wimbledon finals and wins 2 of them by not being good on grass. This is just a stupid thing to say.

I'd love to see Murray and Nadal in the final, but that is unlikely. Who they get in their quarters, whether they are in the same half and a hundred other variables will determine who goes out first. Safe bet is on Nadal going farther based on past performance of both guys.

Information about the grass at Wimbledon. Most of you will think it's rubbish because it won't agree with your perceptions about speed and what not. But for those who aren't fan boy schmucks and are curious about the reality, here it is:

Here's the tidbit from the link above most of you will call BS on because it doesn't fit your bogus worldview:

"Independent expert research from The Sports Turf Research Institute in Yorkshire, UK, proved that changing the grass seed mix to 100% Perennial Ryegrass (previously 70% Rye/30% Creeping Red Fescue) would be the best way forward to combat wear and enhance court presentation and performance without affecting the perceived speed of the court."

You know that the grass at Wimbledon has been the exact same since 2001 right? You realize they didn't change it in 2008 when Nadal won, right?

156mphserve
06-16-2012, 12:30 AM
yep, this is the same stuff Ivanisevic won on :haha:

might be the same kind of grass, but it's playing miles slower than it did 11 years ago

We're all blind right? Watch how Halle plays for example. Or better yet, watch the match between Australian and Switzerland last year at DC and how low/short the ball would bounce for the players, they would have to constantly slice to stay in the point. You think Nadal would be very happy with such a surface? I mean Wimbledon bounces plenty high enough.

So the independent research done is bogus? It's a conspiracy? They lied? The tests they did were faulty?

I trust a company that actually does this sort of testing over biased tennis fans watching tennis on their TV sets seeing what they want to see.

Some courts play faster and some slower (due to various conditions - humidity, grass condition, etc.). But all this stupid ass talk about Wimbledon playing like clay or being the slowest surface of all the slams is retarded. Grass is grass. Clay is clay. Hard courts are hard courts. I'm sorry, but the different between fast grass and slow grass is not as significant as you people want to make it out to be. You're only doing it to discredit Nadal.
