Great win for Grigor who came back from a set down to beat Anderson. Both guys served well (Grigor at 74%, Anderson at 75%) but Grigor's backhand was lethal. He sit some amazing passing shots off that wing and his slice really bothered Anderson.

He's become a massive crowd favourite at Queens and got a lot of support.

Dimitrov is the first guy ever to defeat Mahut two times in one tournament, amazing achievement!

Haha, my mistake. How do you change a thread title? Is it only the mods that can do that?

Grisha, I am so proud of you! Did not fold after losing the first set, maybe the rain delay helped him get his act together! There were some insane points by Grisha, especially from the backhand side :worship: Now a unique chance to reach the final, Nalbandian should be tired after playing 2 matches today.

The first Bulgarian ever to reach SF at an ATP event :yeah:

Beating a dead Mahut.

It was Anderson, not Mahut.

Great day for Dimitrov - reached his first ever ATP semifinal and still had time to chat up a hot ballgirl ;)

Should be an interesting semi against Nalbandian.

I was really impressed with Grigor's fighting spirit today. In the past he would have let the loss of the first set get to him but today, he dug deep and found a way to break Anderson's serve. He's come a long way this week and it looks like he's finally starting to put all the pieces together.

Grigor will soon be a major star of the Tour, if for his looks and personality alone! If he can keep these results coming all the better.

Well done on the semis and hopefully the final and title!

Crying after beating Kevin Anderson in the QF of a 250, really?!

But seriously, he played well. It is still a long shot, but it would really be something if he manages to win the title here given the field at the start of the week.

Not everyone can bully their opponents on court. Some people are actually nice.

Great win for Grigor. I hope he plays well against David tomorrow.

Well, he wants to imitate his hero, so might as well practice the art of crying early in his career.

You are soo pathetic. The guy has shed blood, sweat and tears to actually achieve something in his life and you mock him for getting emotional about it. How about you try and get a real life and maybe, just maybe you will achieve something to be proud of. It looks like Corey is very close to one of those proud moments - reaching post number 100,000 if that isn't an occasion to shed a tear or two I dont know what is.

He hung in, when Anderson was in the ascendancy, sometimes playing shots barely clearing the net. Anderson was the more enterprising. Dmitrov has fair chance of winning the championship here. But he has not displayed enough talent to be counted among the dark horses for Wimbledon.

somehow i think that the wimby organizers will rig the draw in a way that guarantees a federer-dimitrov encounter. probly in the second or third round.

That's not even funny, dumbass.

Dimitrov is just 20, and yesterday he has made a great step on his tennis career. Obviously, for you trolls who never play tennis and just comment on these guys, it could be nothing. But every win is important for a tennis player, and I am proud of Grigor at the moment. His reaction is more than OK, and I hope he wins his first title here.

Suck it, haters. And suck it twice.

Grigor is 21. Apart from that I agree!
Well done, Grisho! :)

Big win for Dimitrov, he actually has a chance to reach the final, Nalby has got to be a little pooped after his efforts yesterday. Good to see him flashing his tennis around a little bit :D

PS: Dimitrov should have played Halle ;) I would love to see him play Roger, especially on grass. That will be something

I doubt Grigor will never play Halle, no matter how much money they offer him. He has been singing Queens' praises all week and talking about how the tournament believed in him from an early age.

Great post gindyo.

You could tell how much the win meant to him and shedding a few tears is nothing to be ashamed of. He's had a lot of pressure on his shoulders growing up and it's only now he seems to be dealing with it. If anything, he won even more fans by doing it and the crowd clearly loves him.
