I still cannot believe that match...Besides, I don't think most of the players in the draw will actually play, so it might not be as bad as it seems ;)

As I have said elsewhere this morning - I cannot say anymore for fear of betraying confidences, - but please do not be surprised or disappointed if David is not in Paris

I think David can enter the Masters as an alternate, so it would be the best if he doesn't go to Paris...

If he plays Paris that is good, but I would rather him win the title today, and then other things can be considered.

me too, i prefer to see him end this year with a title, which can bring more confidence, even more luck to the next 2005! that is more important than the duck revenge by the price of his tired body!

I am so sad to see him lost in Basel. I don't want him to play in Paris because I think he will overuse his body.

I read the news from ESPN.
Carlos Moya withdrew from the Tennis Masters Series in Paris on Sunday because of an injured right shoulder.
"Moya underwent tests Saturday and the pain returned," organizers said, adding the player was examined by a tournament doctor.

I wish Moya will recover soon. I want him to focus on Davis cup. I want Spain to win the Davis Cup so bad. If he is not ready for TMC, please skip it.

David will play at least after Tuesday, but his second round likely opponent Talor Dent and Swedish baby dinosaur Robin will play with each other.

Thanks rosie for the update! :) he really want to play Paris, don't think he would make the withdrawl decision until the last moment.

So yesterday's match was the last of the season, we won't see him again till next year  Unless someone withdraws from Houston and he goes there as an alternate, but that doesn't seem likely...

I'm sure 2005 will be great and I'm already looking forward to it! :D
I heard an Argentinian journalist said that David thought he was gonna make it to Houston, that's why he didn't play in smaller tournaments. I'm sure he'll learn from this and will do great in 2005!

INJURED DUO OUT OF PARIS EVENT

Monday 1st November 2004

From Sky Sports

Andre Agassi and David Nalbandian, both beaten finalists in their respective tournaments at the weekend, have pulled out of the Paris Masters citing hip injuries.

Veteran Agassi went down in a three-set thriller to Thomas Johansson in the final of the Stockholm Open on Sunday, while Nalbandian found Jiri Novak too good at the Swiss Indoors in Basle.

But the efforts have clearly taken their toll on the pair, whose places in the draw have been taken by lucky losers Victor Hanescu of Romania and Italian Davide Sanguinetti.

However, it is great news for Britain's Tim Henman, who is now assured of his place at the season-ending Masters Cup in Houston later this month.

Henman initially needed to win his second round match in Paris to book his place in Houston on November 15, but now, along with Russian Marat Safin, can relax ahead of the lucrative round robin event.

The Paris tournament is already going ahead without world No 1 Roger Federer, who is sidelined with a thigh injury, and Spain's Carlos Moya, who has failed to recover from a shoulder injury.

It's never too late to learn that lesson before 2005 Shanghai TMC, David:yeah:

In spite of so many injuries, i just found his tennis style has improved much!! He played more attacking!! keeping that good returning and backhand, he now more likes to play many smarter lobs and drops!! It especially tricks Massu a lot in Basel semifinal! His volley is also progressing. Now i am happy to see he is much more confident in his serving in Basel's final, i don't think his serving in that match is granny or grandpa, or some chicken words else, pretty good, isn't it?!

11-01-2004, 12:42 PM
I agree, he's playing much better! His service was not a problem at all yesterday! He did 3 aces in a row, 4 in a game, and had a 1° serve percentage of 87%. Not bad at all :yeah:

He would do well to consider smaller tournaments, so that he can get more wins under his belt and build his confidence for the bigger ones.

OK,I see now crystal.
I was a little worried about you last night.
So every thing will be OK and we will wait for 2005.
A title is not a problem.I believe he will do well.
