What was actually wrong with Tomic, apart from the fact that he was getting taught a grass court lesson by haas?

06-12-2012, 04:18 PM
No trainer, no sign of injury at all, he just shakes hands and walks off court. Absolutely disgraceful if he's not injured.

A win is a win, Tommy looked very determined and aggressive in this 7 games they played. I'm very very pleased with his game, and S&V looked amazing after loooong clay season -_-

Tomic' ret. came out of nowhere tho, he got injured or smth, any news?

Tommy just said in an interview with German sports television that Bernard told him at the net that he was sick for the last 10 days and still not feeling well.

Also funny: Tommy said Andy Murray is the guy who "plays" ( rough translation ) the most with injury timeouts, often looks like he is suffering and can hardly move and then runs like a cat the next point.

Being bothered by a bad hair day while wearing a cap = GOAT.

If he was really sick, why didn't he pull out before the match and give a LL a shot. I hope he doesn't get paid for this.

When I saw this match listed, I laughed at the prospect of Haas owning him.

Based on the comments, I'm guessing he retired out of embarrassment.

There is really no one in this next generation of players who is any good, is there? Nadal and Djokovic will be battling in Slam finals until they are 40 at this rate.

I'm guessing Tomic was feeling a tiny bit ill, was in a bad mood today, and was annoyed at being crushed by a 34 year old, so he was just like "Who cares?" and quit. :wavey: We don't need spiritless players like him.

really want those wimbledon points to come off. Disgrace to be in the top 30 where such greats like Montanes and Garcia-Lopez have been in.

Smoke944
06-12-2012, 06:50 PM
Reminds me of Dallas Challenger 2011 lol, just walked off because he was bored.
He'll still defend almost all if not all of his Wimby points as long as he doesn't have a terrible draw :D

He was arguing with someone from his camp (his father?) about something before the match started and he was showing his racket, it looked like he was complaining about wrong string tension. I really hope that he did not quit because of that out of spite.

Unreal behavior. Feeling a bit sick? Seriously, if you´re fit enough to start a best-of-3 match on grass, you should be able to finish it as well.

Tomug should stop playing pro tennis and instead become a hitting partner of one of the WTA players. That is his best chance of winning a match convincingly.

If being a useless mug is considered a "virus" these days, then Tomug should retire from tennis as his "virus" is a chronic condition.
