No Top 50 players? Wow. Golden opportunity for a first-time winner.

Come on Lukas, take it !

Moreover, it is 28-draw so if he could be 4th seed, he will have bye in 1st round :)

I expect two big names coming as WC though.

Of course it's far away from London but Fish plays Washington and not here?

That's one of the best challengers of the year. Oh wait...

I'm laughing at how defending champ Gulbis, as pathetic as his year has been and the weakness of the draw, isn't on the list.

Good chance for Querrey to winning his 3rd LA title. I don't see anyone who would be him at his home from this list. It will give him back the confidence if it won't happen until this tournament.

Waiting for few good wildcard btw.

Harrison being 1st seed possibly? :haha:

That's it? I went last year seeing Del Potro and Bagdahtis but this isn't even worth a ride on the 405.

wait when we see washington entry list. Only some more players expected. There will have been better challengers then a 500 tournament this year.

Lacko OUT - he said to Slovak newspapers that he will be preparing for Olympics in Halle or in England. So he will play only Newport and Atlanta.

http://www.wimbledon.com/en_GB/news/interviews/2012-07-03/201207031341337601835.htmlQ. Will you play L.A.?
MARDY FISH: I'm not entered. It's hard to play. I would love to play, but it's hard to play every single week. Obviously with the Masters events after D.C. it's a lot of weeks in a row, but we'll see.
If I don't do well in Atlanta, it's a two minute bike ride from my house now, so it's hard not to play. I'm not entered, so...

Brian Baker needs to win this tournament (beating Sam in the final) and give the crowd something to cheer for.

Phau getting seeded and Mayer a bye is even worse IMO.

I think Kosakowski would get a wild card. This tournment is played at UCLA, which was his college home-court for a year.

I don't see any wildcard news about Johnson and according to wikipedia Baker, Smyczek and Sock got them(no source given there, either).

Becker is not on the quali draw. Has he made it to the main draw or has he not
fully recovered from his hamstring injury?
