True. And it was 4 finals in succession.

Federer-Nadal never had more than two in succession.

If Nole wins, she replicate what Serena did. And Nadal will be Djokovic's Venus.

if nadal wouldn't have suck so much at the uso for all these years, fedal would have also played all 4 gs-finals a long time again.

It's called complete dominance.

This has only happened because the surfaces have all been slowed down. If the US Open and Wimbledon were as fast as they were in the past, there's a very good chance Rafa would have won neither of them. Look how djokovic and Nadal whinged about the blue clay as conditions there were fast. See how both tumbled out early. Why did Sampras win 7 Wimbledons and 0 French Opens? Conditions were vastly different at both. Conditions are much more similar now-a-days.

Give them credit for fucks sake. This 'only' happened because they are miles ahead of the field.

The reason Sampras didn't reach any RG finals is because he basically was all serve.

Nadal and Djokovic have everything you need to dominate, the best forehands, by far the best movement, by far the best stamina, Djokovic has the best backhand, Nadal's is certainly top 5-10.

Even a great serve (both serves are underrated), really, they have the best game for every surface, and that's why they dominate everything. They're the most complete players the game has ever seen.

No your wrong, sampras had a more complete game than nadal or djokovic. They never come to the net and their serves are nothing in comparison

Madrid was always (well, all 3 previous years or whatever) very fast for a clay court tournament...you're only going by this year's result? The complaint wasnt that the blue made it faster, but more slippery. IMO the complaints were a bit primadonna-like and for the most part unwarranted, but that's another story.

also, are you saying that Madrid is faster than Wimbledon? Since Djokovic and Nadal both tumbled out early in Madrid, apparently because of Madrid's speed, yet somehow managed to not do too shabby at W. Is that what you're saying? Just to clarify

Funny how Novak-Rafa happened before Rafa-Fed

actually not at all .Nadal's peak hard court game never coincided with Federer's .Expected since Nadal is like 5 years younger to him .These 2 are in their peak right now so they should be expected to meet in all after that wimbledon final ;)

What is actually the record for the biggest H2H? I mean most matches played against each other.

That this was aided by the homogenization of surfaces is true but thats not the only reason. These two have shown extraordinary duopoly in the last year and half :hatoff: No one has been able to compete at the highest level with these two in the biggest stages so it is really commendable, though I do not personally enjoy it. Doesnt stop me from appreciating the dominance though :yeah:

surfaces will remain slow and will get even more homogenized, still chances are this wont happen again anytime soon.

a big Pete fan here, but yeah, Djoko and Rafa are something. I was not aware of this (the only players in the history to meet in all 4 slams, as the op put it). cool ... Rafa and Roger didn't manage to meet at the USO final, it's close tho ...
