Lenz is a young, talented German guy. Much more of a prospect than the even younger Baluda, I think, who built his ranking in weak Futures. Ranking is irrelevant.

Gawron really does suck. The talent is there, the delivery has been missing for years. The kind of loss to Pütz is very much in the line of his results for seasons now.

Navarro was 5*-0 up in the second and losing serve twice, then he broke Moriya at 5-3* to took the GSM. He had two MPs at 40-15* but wasting them, Moryia could go to deuce and then losing two points in a row and also the match. Disgusting way to win a match but a win is a win.

Hajek is 24-10 (as of today) in challengers this season. And he has made the SF of 5 of his last 6 challenger tournaments. He defends three SFs the next three weeks, so he really needs to win this event. But I right now think Zverev has a decent shot at it.

I think Zverev beats Marti and Greul beats AHM, but we'll see.

Most upper-echelon Challenger players have at least one good spell in their careers  DGT is not a bad player at all, but he's not as earth-shattering as some people make him out to be.That's true, but I'd consider DGT a lower-level ATP player instead of a higher-level challenger guy. I think he's done enough at the ATP level to be considered a legit ATP player and generally he does very well in challengers, he's above challengers, IMO. I do agree, though, that given he sucks about 70% of seasons, that he's not as good as some think he is, performance wise.

i think he was quite accurate here

The first singles semifinal took place between Jan Hajek and the unseeded Marius Copil. Hajek broke with his second opportunity in the second game of the match. From then on Copil served better and a whole range of unforced errors by Hajek led to the re-break in the 7th game. The stage of Copil’s good service games, however, has only last for one two more games, where two double faults led to another break for the Czech. After 32 minutes Hajek served the set out. In the middle of the second set Copil played more aggressively and was more willing to hit a winner. Copil broke in the 6th game and closed the set out after one hour and four minutes.

In the final frame the Romanian lost his first service game through a double fault. The time has come for Hajek to take command in this match, whereas on the other side of the net Copil became more and more frustrated, talking to himself and even smashing his racket into his face. Hajek, surprisingly did not stay cool. So he had to face three break points in the fifth game and four break points in the seventh game. Nevertheless, in the end the Czech saved all of them and took the match 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 after one hour and 46 minutes.
