Wrong decision by Tsonga to let them suspend play, should have fought to finish this tonight... Wawrinka will get a good night sleep and become a monster again imo...

These suspended matches get very annoying. They should have made use of more courts instead of cramming all the matches. On another note, Tsonga's ass looked delectable and ripe, like a basket of fresh fruit. It definitely rivals Nadal's.

Tsonga suddenly resumed playing at 0-4 down in the 4th and from there on, it was pretty fun to watch. Too bad Wawrinka couldn't keep his momentum going into the 5th.

Stan can't win a tight set anymore. Well, that's actually nothing new.
No tiebreak win again. Good 3rd set. He could have won the 4th set 61 and lead 20 in the fifth, but no, he decided the way with even more action, drama and errors.

same thing happened to Granollers ysterday. Won the first 2 rather close sets like Tsonga did, then kind of went away for a set and a half like Tsonga did. Once it got to 4-0 in set 4 he got him game back exactly like Tsonga did and then he went on to win the 5th. Will Tsonga do that? We'll see but so far Granollers yesterday = Tsonga today

Good fight from Wawrinka to comeback from that hole, after failing to take advantage of the momentum in the second set when he broke back with Tsonga serving for the set at 5*-4 and had 3 set points at 6-5*. Not sure I agree with the decision to start playing the fifth set when they had barely 30 minutes of play still left and it was clear the final set wouldn't have finished the fast. It would have made more sense to finish at 2 set all rather than interrupt in the middle of the set like it happened.

I really like Stan, he is nice guy...but he just chockes and makes wrong decisions at crutial points.
****** single backhand and nice stamina he has....i dont think this favors him because he was still chasing dead balls all over.
If only he can win, but i doubt it.

That final set was the best I've seen Jo play on clay in a long time, maybe ever, and he showed a lot of mental strength in the 5th to get a break after memories of last year. He will be a monster on the grass/fast courts in the 2nd half of the year.

I want to have a relationship with Wawrinka's backhand, I love it so much.

With that said : what a dramatic match, very entertaining. Those Two aren't really the greatest tacticians on court but it only adds to the fun really.
I really hope Stan can pull it off tomorrow again like last year. He is an absolute warrior!

Djokovic's gonna play a hell of a match vs the winner of this.
So, both players should play their asses off, to win this, because there's an 90% chances this set is the last one they would win.

Pity that Stan lost the second set : it will probably cost him the match despite his great level of play from the end of the second set.

I don't know what he tried to do with his strange sliced return on his third set point in second set at 6-5.

It was entertaining, but Stan could have won the 2nd set.
He was not able to win one tiebreak against Simon or Tsonga.
In close sets, he always loses! All sets he won were clear.
So he has to be the clearly better player to win and tha's not easy against World Number 5. Bad first serve percentage from time to time, had some physical problems (back?) and was not able to find his absolute best tennis.

Very sad loss, but it's really hard to win 3 five setters in a tournament.
He should have won against Cipolla in 4 and he should have won one tiebreak against Simon and won in 4 as well. Against Tsonga he could have won the 2nd set tiebreak.

All in all, nothing new:
Good and entertaining match from both player. Up and down. Both were not sensational in mental aspects, but Tsonga was clearly better (in this category.)
Wawrinka has to find better tactics and better mental strength to win some matches in 3 or 4 sets. Otherwise, he is not able to reach further Quarterfinals of Slams.

He has the game, sure. But that's not everything it needs.

What's with this trend of internet losers bagging on pro players for being too happy? Why the hell should there be a limit on how happy players can get when they win matches? That's retarded. Especially if you support the other player, if anything it's a sign of respect that the player is so relieved to win.
