Who will they be? I hope Richard gets a wildcard here to continue with his good form and hopefully win a match.

the problem in France is that always French players got all the wild-cards which is not fair especially when a former winner (1996) wish one.
Well, that's tipically French.

It's the same anywhere: Spanish players got the WC in Madrid, Americans at the USO, Brits at Wimbledon.

Well but there are also tournaments which give 1 or 2 WC's to good other players, Stockholm has given Carlsen one, Bastad has given Monaco one and and and. It is right that it is not really fair!

Yes, it's true but giving a wild-card to Gasquet ? No comments. The Paris website is not updated, I'll have a look on the tv news today.
I'm still waiting for the complete list of the qualies because I'd like to go to Bercy tomorrow. Well, let's wait.

Aren't there other French players ranked higher than both of them who won't get in MD?

Main draw wildcards went to Mathieu, Clément and Saulnier.
Gasquet got a wc for the quallies, as did Monfils, Tsonga and Haenel. There's an article up on the tournament site about it now.

It's not nearly as bad as Canada giving them to players ranked outside the top 200 every year :p

Monaco got one as part of the deal for then getting Gaudio. He demanded a Monaco WC :p
