Yes, but Nadal isnt injured and Nole isnt headcase like then. History final is in the making here.

Neither of them are unbeatable though. If Raonic somehow got into ultra-servebot-tiebreaker-mode and served 60+ aces, he could take out Nadal. And as for Djokovic, Tsonga can beat him, and if he doesn't, Federer is capable (in fact that would play to the theory more because, in 09, Delpo and Federer were the two highest seeds left and Federer just managed to come through in the fifth).

I'm not saying this will happen, just that it's possible (history after all has a habit of repeating itself).

So Starace and Kavčič aren't easy? Clearly, in hindsight, they put up a good fight -- but you have to think objectively. On paper, Kamke and Ungur are just as difficult opponents, and also on paper, Mahut is a better player than Devilder. So up to R3, their draws were about even (and still would be in R4 if Lopez hadn't been injured).

Yeah but you've been saying for the last year and a half that he's untouchable and can only be beaten by a demi-god despite results to the contrary. Then your recent comments about the djoker having to be content with wins only on HC. This is treason against the soon to be all-surface-king. He has a draw full of French mugs. There's nothing difficult about his draw. It's a tad more difficult than Nadal's. But still it's his form that has been killing him rather than his opponents. He'll probably get passed this guy in 3 sets since this guy is new and probably nervous/anxious/excited to face the Fed man.

Fiasco and Tsonga tougher than Berdych? :haha: Your fanboyism is clouding whatever little judgement you have. I'd much rather Fed got Tsonga who got broken numerous times by the didn't-give-a-fuck Fognini, or Fiasco who never fails to live up to his nickname, than Tomas Berdych. If you've been paying attention to players other than Djokovic it should be pretty plain that Berdych is arguably the real #4 at the moment, not to mention he always troubles Fed.

Maybe. But things are not so straightforward; for example, a 30-year-old Frenchman playing at RG is expected to put up a good fight, a 21-year-old player on a possible rise... even any player with a game to annoy Federer but not other top players.

You can just take a general idea about the draw, but try not to over-analyse.

This match might hurt Fed more than anything. Playing a LL as prep for a match against del Potro or Berdych? That's like stretching for 10 seconds before you run a marathon.

Dunno. As opposed to playing a lopez who was the highest he could face in the round of 16 i dunno. Whoever this goffin is he's at least got a 2 handed backhand and is right handed. Lopez vs fed would not really have given any rhthym to fed specifically any baseline rhythm which is waht he'll need against pony/berdy in the quarters.

Hopefully fed plays better seeing how this LL has had a cindernella run here and with fed being his idol perhaps that will motivate fed a little more than his last few matches to actually play some better tennis.

At the same time, never playing a guy before is always tricky to some degree. Wouldn't shock me to see fed drop a set here. Hopefully he's through in 3 or 4 max.

If Fed loses a set to this Goffin, i believe it's time to put his career to Coffin.

There there, temper temper, pray to your Jesus to have mercy on us the haters.

 I endorse this message.

Gosh if only Fed had some real competition like Eduardo Schwank

I know, right? If only Nadal had drawed Ungur and Mahut. He'd lost sets, too.

Seriously, you, Fedophiles, are more obsessed with Nadal than we, the tards, are

Caught that, did you? Fed fans talk as much about Rafa as they do Roger.

As far as the match, Fed'll be fine. I think he win in straights.

Goffin has nothing to lose. He can just swing away. Can't be intimidated by Roger after spending a decade staring at his posters all over his bedroom. Will probably be an unusual experience for Fed as all of Belgium will be there chanting Goffin's name. Plus having heard that Fed was Goffin's idol growing up will put extra pressure on Rogi to live up to his opponent's perception of him being this infallible tennis god. I think this could be an entertaining match regardless of the outcome.

My thoughts exactly when reading that: Federer just being his arrogant self.

The Belgian crowd turned the stadium into an inferno during his previous matches, doubt that's possible on Lenglen though.

Difference here is that Federer fans were bitching and moaning about the draw as soon as it was made (nothing new there) and proclaiming it a horror draw. In reality he had the toughest QF and a possible match with Nalbandian, which isn't even worth mentioning. Some posters are now just giving them a taste of their own medicine.

Personally, I think it is stupid to moan about the draws. All four top seeds had comfortable draws to the QF here, with Fed and Murray drawing the harder QF opponents and Murray and Djokovic the harder SF opponents.

poor nole and pig tards . they are jealous because 9 from 10 young players have roger as their idol. so when 1 from 10 chooses rafa or nole it's normal they are exciting about it, and when you are listening it every day it's normal you get used on it. what Fed had to say " David, you are my young idol also, I have all of your junior matches recorded and I believe you could win at least as double titles as I won "

Apparently, Goffin has been broken the most number of times (16) of the remaining men

So Fed gets to play a LUCKY LOSER in the FOURTH ROUND OF A SLAM (still can't believe this) that can't hold serve. Draw from hell, indeed.

I bet Fed would give nole and rafa his opponents and take their opponents in first 4 rounds and face Tipsy or Tsonga in QF instead of Berdych

can't believe how deluded and dumb this place is. trolls are brilliant tennis analysts for deluded tards. and sadly this place is 90% made from them

and nole's and nadal's draw is much harder

nole
potato
kavcic
devilder
seppi - only in forrm player who won few games two weeks ago against fed

nadal
bolelli
istomin
schwank
monaco - only on paper serious opponent which even on the best day of his life doesn't have weapons to hurt nadal

really strong arguments to whine about

Too bad Berdych and DelPo might drain each other, than the fresh Federer could finish off the winner easily.

If Fed changes the name in Rafael it would probably happen, being Roger it won't

I doubt it will be a physical match between Del Potro and Berdych.Even if it goes to 5 sets, most of the points will be quick and with few rallies.
