First time ever in the 4th round of a Slam for Seppi great result for him. Kept it together very well and didn't panic.

Well done to the South Tyrolean Sex Machine.

Seppi :worship:

played amazing at times. Threw away the 4th set with a couple of bad forehands but kept concentration and was superior in the end

Doesn't matter he loses to Djokovic, the last 16 is a deserved achievement for him.

Unexpected for me, I must say.
But I think Nole is happy with it. He met Seppi already this clay season. Was an easy win: 6-1 6-4.

Confidence is a wonderful thing. I mean the guy served out at the match to love, and served out sets easily. Normally when he went to serve for them, went to bookie to back against it.

I'm sad I wasn't able to see the match but, again, just so happy about the result and proud of Andreas! I knew it was going to be very tough against Verdasco, specially considering the one-sided H2H, but just by reading what you guys say and looking at the stats, looks like it was a great match! I'm definitely surprised at the fact that he hit more winners than Verdasco but that probably has more to do with Fernando's level? Regardless, awesome numbers for Seppi, he's serving great and playing with a lot of confidence in his shots!

Mission accomplished in the tournament, best result ever for him at a slam, now hopefully he'll go for it against Novak without any pressure and enjoy the match.

This

Amazing stats against a player like Verdasco. A pitty i couldn't see the match.

I was expecting more from Dasco, but as it looks he's lost to a great playing adversary, so GL Seppi in next round, make Nole sweat a bit :)

Seppi up to #23 I think, new career high. Tightly packed above him too, only 95pts behind Dolgo in 19th.

06-01-2012, 05:53 PM
OMG, OMG, OMG :sobbing: I'm so happy. This made my friday perfect.

What a last couple of months he's having...winning pretty much all tight matches, saving match points, playing great all court tennis. And he behaves so well it's amazing.

Does this unexpected success have something to do with me? I don't know, maybe it has.

I hope he can make it competetive against Godovic.

Oh FFS. Congrats to seppi on winning here, but seriously? He has zero chance of hurting Djokovic. Verdasco could've done something, but Seppi has no chance. Verdasco has to be the biggest under achieving chump on the tour. Seriously.

Really happy for Seppi, he's having a great year and now R4 in a slam. I just hope he doesn't let Djoko off too easily, he should be pretty pleased with his result already so hopefully he'll go in there free of any pressure and just play the same as he did today. That'll give Nole something to worry about :)

He beat Rafito on clay. If he doesn't do anything for the rest of his career his fans should still be satisfied.

Wow finally gets a big win over someone. I was expecting Seppi many years back to defeat Safin at one of the slams but he chocked that one. At least he won this one. Too bad he'll get destroyed by the Serb.
