Absolute treat of a match. Probably two of the better second tier players in the game. Both guys just slightly outside of the top 10 (Stani at 21 now but he's a top 15 caliber guy).

Simon has had a nice clay court campaign reaching the semis of MC, winning Bucharest, and getting bounced by only top 10 guys in Madrid, Rome and Nice.

Stan has always been solid at RG while Gillou has struggled but I like the Frenchman tomorrow as long as he plays good solid counterpunching tennis.

Sometimes Simon likes to get in a slugfest. If he tries to do that with Stan he'll get smashed off the court.

Simon for me. The winner has a great chance at making the quarters with Tsonga/Fabio waiting in the round of 16.

explain?

Chatrier is a fair bit faster than Lenglen.

Chatrier is a fair bit faster than Lenglen.

Faster court definitely helps Simon.

Simon has put together some decent results on faster surfaces.

Wawa HATES fast surfaces.

I agree, Chatrier is faster but Simon was done no favors by this being on Lenghlen.

I know Jo is top 5 but Simon is top 12 and Wawa is basically a top 15 guy. Would have much rather seen that on Chatrier than JWT v. Fabio

Flava Fab would have an edge over Jo on this surface if it wasn't for the fact that he played a marathon just the day before. Bad scheduling/weather are gonna help Tsonga but regardless I like the winner of Simon/Wawrinka to beat JWT/Fab

wawa hates fast, but loves medium paced courts. lenglen is slow.
besides, the match is much more about wawa than simon. if stan plays his game simowaniacki can't do anything
