Incredible display by Tommy. Some amazing shots, awesome movement and plenty of winners.
Although I was kinda expecting Tommy to win in 3 sets, but never thought it would be this easy and smooth.
Good job Tommy :yeah:

Sure thing, just as back in 2009. But imho its not about the ranking anymore, in fact it stopped being about that long ago as he said.
I'm just happy to see him on courts, seeing every single backhand shot as it was the last one

Actually expected a tighter one here, Stak seems to deliver when I dont expect it.

Haas should be competitive against Gasquet, has beaten him before, obviously not in the same shape now but you could say Gasquet is not exactly on an upward curve.

Serve well and I can see Tommy taking that to 4 or 5.

Haas is actually playing for her daughter, which is nice, he wants her daughter to see him play and her remembering it.

Hugely impressive stuff from Haas, and I don't just mean this particular win. Qualifying for this event was a result in itself, along with Munich of course.

Surely back in the top 100 now. :worship: If he can stay fit, he should be able to consolidate a top 100 ranking over the remainder of the season.

I was thinking only a couple of days ago how he shouldn't consider retiring just yet, considering that he can clearly still play at the top level. Glad to read yesterday that he will consider playing another 18 months if healthy.

Sergiy  now, that is disappointing. I expected him to back up the win over the Dolgo. :(

It was so easy that I left before the end of the 1st set to watch Isner x Mathieu in the big screen outside.

478 wins now! Just 22 shy of the magic 500. He and JCF are racing! Also up to 95 slam wins. That puts him 5th best now of the Fed generation, behind Roger, Hewitt, Roddick, and JCF (at 99). Safin falls to 6th.

If he can win 3 matches at Wimbledon and 2 at the USO - he'll get to 100 this year!

Between my gimp time zone and the racist scheduling I wasn't able to watch this demolition. Still, I can derive some level of arousal simply from reading the scoreline.

Never too late, but there aren't any bandwagons though :p At least for 10 years in Tommy's case, just some left-overs from that period, me included hehe

P.S. For starters, join us on his board ;)

Somewhere in heaven, Lang Jai is looking down and smiling.

In other news...Haas is a renaissance man and took out the trash.
