Fog was pretty solid in the 1st set, got bored and then Troicki who is to tennis as Sepp Blatter is to anti-corruption levelled.

The Fog will be happy with the suspension don't want the hair to get messed up. Hope he comes back 2nd match tomorrow and finishes the job.

RG with a hilarious Fog match wouldn't be the same. Up a break in the 5th and loses it from 40-0 up.

Saves 2 mps at *5-6, holds and then breaks. Serves it out and good when Troicki loses.

HAHA I just saw the match from 4-3 in the 5th. Fog really trolled Troicki. Troicki had more than half the court opened to hit a BH DTL when he had MP. Sent the ball in the middle of the net. Fog won 2 super point in the last gamne. Nice tweener by the serb though.

Say Hey Kid
05-31-2012, 02:06 PM
Fognini slipped and lost his balance on first MP. If Troicki hit the passing shot he would have won. Reminiscent to Llodra/Soderling in Bercy a couple years back in terms of that match MP saved. Troicki can't find the forehand when it matters most.

Fognini's legend just continues to grow. I was up and down watching this insane match. When Troicki won the 3rd, I knew for a fact Fognini would come back. Admittedly, down match point and a 2nd serve, I had doubts, but Troicki put a BH into the net on the 1st, and a forehand into the net on the 2nd.

Fognini, all guts to win this one. Has a chance vs. Tsonga too, Center Court for that one, RG organizers.

Of course Troicki was the coward as I stated in my precvious post so it was the right tactic
in this case. Against better Players this won't work though. Also I am not against "pushing", but if Murray's/Simon does this they get slaughtered here, if Fog does it he is an instant legend.

Third year. The epic Monfils drama 2 years ago and the even more epic one with Montanes. Today's one was pretty selfish from the Fog. He could have trolled a few more games and saved a few more matchpoints to make it more dramatic for the crowd.

Fog matches at RG bear few salient features:

1. These are 5-set thrillers.
2. There is usually some controversy involved.
3. These are played on the outside courts and the match is always memorable tennis.
4. He doesn't last beyond rd 3 in slams no matter how much noise he makes.

So if you can't get to PC/SL once you arrive at RG - for a good time, grab some beer and go look for Fog.

Troicki was really clueless when trying to attack, he tried to hit Fog off the court but neither had enough pace neither his shots was angled enough, Fog defended well 5-6 meters back behind the baseline and he was the one who was ending the rally on every shorter ball with the counter shot or even a drop shot.
