very weak result for klizan, he dominates the clay challengers, could have make a huge step here but lost to a guy who is pretty useless on clay,unreal choke in second set...

Klizan belongs to the challenger circuit,not to a third round of a slam.Made Mahut look like a mental giant.

This kid is really for challengers only.

I don't understand how you speak about "choking" while Mahut won far more points on return than Klizan in second set and even more than him in first set which he lost.

Klizan was very near to winning the third set with that unreal 5-5 game but Mahut fought incredibly well : saved most of the breakpoints with very good shots. Clearly Isner's match and the public helped him here ;)

Overall Mahut's win was very well deserved.

Guys, in case you missed it, Klizan was ill last week and said after match he couldn´t move good and has sort of slower reflexes.

I was hoping he overcame that last week, but he was lucky to get Dancevic in 1st round. It is a big shame, because Klizan is far better player than Mahut.

I am very dissapointed, but it is sport. Fed will destroy Mahut in 3rd round but better than playing ill Klizan.

Klizan said something like "virus in him couldn´t allow him to eat anything and he was very weak all week long".

If your Klizan, waking up this morning will have been a painful experience.

I love Mahut, he's a real fighter and a throwback to the days when serving and volleying was an option, but on clay he's awful. Klizan's been cleaning up in the challenger circuit too so this was a real missed chance.

Given that Klizan struggled to serve it out for the first set, lost 40-30 and advantage on serve in the second at 5-4* and couldn't convert any of his chances at 5-5 in the third you have to question his courage and mentality.

Well done Mahut in any case. Fantastic win for him.
