WWW Roland Garros R3: Del Potro- CilicRIboy 05-30-2012, 12:58 PM vote and discuss Chase Visa 05-30-2012, 12:59 PM Depends on how hurt Delpo really is. If he was, Cilic should hammer him. Deathless Mortal 05-30-2012, 01:00 PM Marin will win. viruzzz 05-30-2012, 01:01 PM Cilic, 5. Mark Lenders 05-30-2012, 01:03 PM If Marin can't beat Del Potro here, he never will. Cilic in 3. Of course it'd all change if Juan's knee got somehow healed, but chances of it happening in two days are very slim. Marin must take advantage and make a deep run here. Nr 1 Fan 05-30-2012, 01:04 PM I remember Delpo beating Cilic last year 6/3 6/0 while seriously injured (he retired Next match). I think he has a good chance here as he does basically everything better than Cilic but I am worried about his fitness level/injury however. Of course it'd all change if Juan's knee got somehow healed, but chances of it happening in two days are very slim. Marin must take advantage and make a deep run here. No deep run for Marin here. If he beats Delpo, Berdych Will take him out. Mark Lenders 05-30-2012, 01:07 PM I remember Delpo beating Cilic last year 6/3 6/0 while seriously injured (he retired Next match). I think he has a good chance here as he does basically everything better than Cilic but I am worried about his fitness level/injury however. His movement wasn't hampered in Madrid though. There's no way Juan can beat a player like Marin while moving like he did today, he'll lose unless his knee can somehow be sorted out in two days (unlikely) or Marin clowns the match away. UsD.AnDreS 05-30-2012, 01:08 PM No deep run for Marin here. If he beats Delpo, Berdych Will take him out. 4th round for Cilic is a deep run. Let alone beating Delpo on the way. Mark Lenders 05-30-2012, 01:09 PM No deep run for Marin here. If he beats Delpo, Berdych Will take him out. You never know; Marin is a player who thrives on confidence. If he beat even an injured Delpo who's kind of been his bete noire in recent times, I could definitely see him trouble and maybe beat Tomas. BroTree123 05-30-2012, 01:09 PM Looks like the end of the road here for del Potro. Ad Wim 05-30-2012, 01:13 PM Delpo has Cilic' number this year, so I expect a win for him, even injured. RIboy 05-30-2012, 01:14 PM Delpo has Cilic' number this year, so I expect a win for him, even in the wheelchair. +1 Gustavo Kuerten 05-30-2012, 01:18 PM If Del Potro is fit he will win in 3. If Del Potro is injured he will win in 3. petar_pan 05-30-2012, 01:27 PM If Marin repeat today's performance and if is Del Potro repeat his tennis from this year RG Marin win win easily. Marin will beat Berdych for sure with this form. But I know Del Potro will play very good and will win easily. Zaks_289 05-30-2012, 01:45 PM If Del Potro play like today and with that mentally, I think he will win. If not of course Cilic. Vinceremo 05-30-2012, 02:42 PM Like most pointed out, it really depends on how hurt Del Potro is. If he was injury-free, no doubt he would be a massive favourite to win this match rather comfortably. Isn't the case so i'm leaning towards a 4-set win for Cilic, Juan should still give a fight. Vinceremo 05-30-2012, 02:56 PM Delpo's injury is really disappointing! Now we will miss a hell of a match in R4 against Berdych. Even if he manages to get past Cilic (unlikely), would be easy for Tomas under these circumstances. LocoPorElTenis 05-30-2012, 02:58 PM Cilic in 3, Del Pony can't move. nalbyfan 05-30-2012, 03:03 PM Delpony was already knee injured in Madrid and he didn't pull out...now his knee's getting worse. He reminds me Fatdall who destroyed his body paying no attention to his fitness... Be careful Depony, Fatdall is the worst ex ever, don't do like him, have some rest when you need it. RG is more important than Estoril. If you had skip that small event, maybe would you be injury free today. If Delpony can't run, either he'll W/O or he'll be beaten by Cilic. If he can run and chase the ball, he'll win. All depends of his injury, serious or not n3gative 05-30-2012, 03:04 PM Cilic in 4 or 5 misty1 05-30-2012, 03:14 PM you know thats a really disrespectufl poll. If your going to make one atleast put marin's name in it marin has a chance IF the knee is that big of a factor and i really doubt it is. I say del potro in 4 Leo 05-30-2012, 03:15 PM I'm surprised so many people are choosing Cilic. I thought Delpo actually looked pretty good today. Cilic won't exploit Delpo's movement as much as many other players. I give the edge to Delpo in 4 sets based on his superior game and H2H, hope he proves me right. Just wish the big man could stay healthy for a long enough period of time to gather his confidence and upset a Top 4. He really relies on match play and top-notch health to feel like he can win. That's exactly what his 2009 was - he was building momentum all year from the Aussie summer to the US summer. duchuy89 05-30-2012, 03:26 PM Del Potro in 3. tealeaves 05-31-2012, 09:54 PM Del Potro in 4, I hope  64 36 76 75 Ibracadabra 05-31-2012, 10:02 PM Logically del potro will lose. So he will win. Mercury 05-31-2012, 10:07 PM Del Potro in 4, I hope  64 36 76 75 Even a 4 setter with a score line like that will leave him completely useless for the Berdych match. Honestly, he should not be playing and risking another major injury. There will be more RGs for him... He's only 23 for pete's sake... incube 06-01-2012, 01:12 AM Even with his knee problems I think it will be battle. Cilic win in 5 sets. Topspindoctor 06-01-2012, 01:18 AM Both are brainless ballbashers who don't deserve to be in R4, but I hope Mugrin wins to derail the Del-Shitro bandwagon. Looner 06-01-2012, 01:27 AM Seems like Cilic can only win against injured or rusty Delboy. He has a chance but depends on Delboy's knees. BauerAlmeida 06-01-2012, 01:32 AM Both are brainless ballbashers who don't deserve to be in R4, but I hope Mugrin wins to derail the Del-Shitro bandwagon. Every player who's not a moonballer you're going to call him a ballbasher? duchuy89 06-01-2012, 02:37 AM Del Potro in 3. Slade 06-01-2012, 02:40 AM Del Potro in 4 probably. Cilic has a chance though. SelvenluvJo 06-01-2012, 03:52 AM Cici in 4 :o shiaben 06-01-2012, 04:06 AM Two big bruisers. Hmm probably Potro in 4. Cilic is one of the most mentally weakest players out there. He was lucky to defeat Potro last time given the combination of high UEs at the Australian Open not to mention the heat getting to Potro which gave Cilic a chance to get a win over him back then. VolandriFan 06-01-2012, 04:28 AM Should be a very interesting match. Del Potro will have to dictate and make a good start. samanosuke 06-01-2012, 06:53 AM actually cilic has a shot here  born_on_clay 06-01-2012, 07:22 AM Juan Martin in 4 cutesteve22 06-01-2012, 10:04 AM Cilic, but I want a JMDP Berdych R16 so bad christallh24 06-01-2012, 12:22 PM JMDP, though I loved to see Marin win. Bye, Marin! :wavey: | |
